Me & my husband come here regularly & play video poker, & I absolutely love the food. The bartenders are great, I don't think I've met 1 bad server yet. It took a few times of us coming before it felt like they line kinda 'warmed' up to us, I guess you could say?.., but now their absolutely amazing. My go to food is the chicken strips & fry or I just recently tried their cheeseburgers & love them almost as much as the chicken strips. If you're a ranch lover like me, they have the absolute BEST ranch ever! Next time we stop by there I thinki I am going to try the Chicken Lo Mein. I keep reading so many great reviews on their Chinese item it makes me want to try one. My husband loves their pancake breakfast platter. I think he's ordered it 3 maybe 4 times back to back the last few times we stopped there. Weekends do tend to get a little hectic & rowdy, but always a great time. It's a good 3.5 star bar. For what it is, crappy Chinese food in a bar... The Family Dinner B for two was a fantastic deal for General Tsos and cashew chicken for $32.50 for a three course meal. Hot n sour soup, huge appetizer plate, two entrees and a plate of pork fried rice. The rice was a bit dry but we loved the rest of the food. Given it was a bar, the food came our slow, it was completely dark and the music was too loud. I guess there's karaoke night, I bet that is fun. read more

I went to the bar to have a drink with my friends that were in town today. It was approximately 2 PM. The bar was empty. The Bartender made eye contact several times, but but did not say that we needed to order from the bar or what the process was. It was very strange. The Bartender made eye contact several times and did not say hello or anything else. She just kept chatting with the people that were at the bar. Again, all three of them. There was only three people at the bar and she kept disappearing. We walked out. It's been 10 minutes. It was pathetic. I'm not gonna give them my business. No bartender. No service. It's a dive bar. Actually more of a dump. Ambiance is trash. Video poker is the best thing there and you can get that anywhere. These businesses fail for bad service and so-so food then blame anything else. Repeat customers are based on the business not the economy. I've been here a handful of times and this is the worst service I've ever had. I was sitting at my table with a 2nd glass of wine when the bartender 86'd me for no reason. I asked why and she had no answer. I tried to have a conversation and she stared yelling at me. I've never had an issue anywhere else. This is without a doubt the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The service is even worse. The servers/bar tenders that were there on Saturday would walk by our table and completely ignore us.. They seem to have friends who hang out at the bar and those were the only people they payed attention to. Been coming to AGs Sports Bar on and off for years. I come back for 3 reasons: 1. Karaoke. I try to make it when KJ Sha is there, she cleans the mic between singers, is fun and juggles busy nights with multiple requests with professionalism and kindness. 2. Bartenders. Heather and Amber know their stuff, hustle and can cover the entire place individually and always with a smile. 3. The clientele on a busy night is great people watching. I've been coming here for a few months off and on since I move up the street. It's a super chill little bar but they have pool tables, karaoke, video poker, and there are so many tables to hang out at. My favorite drink is Leah's raspberry lemonade but even more so my favorite food is the fried rice. Me and my friends will go once a week for the rice and Pool of course. Worst service ever. Really want to like this place cause we live so close. And we keep coming back to give it another chance. And every single time, the service is the worst I have ever had...anywhere...in 50 years. For instance; tonight I went up to the bar to order a drink (cause they wont come out to you). She sees me standing there comes over and picks up her tip that is laying on the bar in front of me and WALKS AWAY....then proceeds to help 3 separate guys that come up to the bar...AFTER I have been standing there waiting...takes their order, makes their drink, even runs their ticket....and I am still standing there ... waiting. Great Chinese food! We had chicken egg foo young and Gen Tso's chicken combo, which comes with fried rice, shrimp and egg roll. Everything was delicious and portions were large. Draft beer was nice and cold, served in chilled pints. Came in at around 6 on a Monday, friendly young gentleman bartending, and service was good. This is a HUGE improvement over their old location. Has a nice large open area with a larger bar. Love the addition of TV's and the change to a Sports Bar. While I haven't eaten here yet, other customers were commenting during my visit that the food was good. The drink selection, including the draft beers, is pretty good. Have a nice mixture of beers available. The staff are the same as at the old AG, which was the best thing about them at their old location. Has the potential for 5 stars, but I'll need a few more visits before knowing for sure. read more

I lived in Beaverton from 2006 to 2012. Lived very close Allen Blvd. I had great experiences at the old location all the time. Good drinks and good times. Also if you wanted to eat or sober up they had good Chinese food in house. No need to hit up Sheri's across the street. Also Wendy for sure is a awesome bartender with a great attitude. Wias a great place for Karioke and dancing. Went back for a visit in 2019 and experienced the new location. Great to see Wendy was still there. Big hugs. Very open concept with a long good size bar. Lot's of big screen TVS for sports and they still have Karioke. Thumbs up to the Asian Garden or the AG. read more

Just read a review from someone below that gave them like 1 star. It's accurate to what happened to me just now. I came in went up to the bar and said "hello" she looked at me picked up money from the bar and left without saying a word. A lady at the bar right next to me tells her that she wants a drink and she gets her before me and someone else comes behind me and she get him his drink too. So then comes up to me and says nothing just leans over and expects for me to start talking lol made me laugh for reals. I give her my order and she finally brings my drinks and I say thank you and nothing from her still. I give her my card and ask if she can keep it open and she says she already closed it. Cool. This review is for the Karaoke. From us, the self proclaimed Karaoke Nerds. The food we did not order but they have a Chinese and American menu that can be viewed online here on yelp if you are so inclined. AG Sports Pub could be a little tricky to find. It is located behind the Safeway and gas station deep in the plaza kitty cornered Taco Bell and Subway. Across the street from a 24hr Sherry's Restaurant. The room is huge and open. Clean lines and table and chair seating only. No booths. Two pool tables and one foosball table. Lottery machines in a separate corner kinda sectioned off from the main room. A number of TV's tuned to sports. From what I understand from the history of this place is that it use to be Asian Garden Restaurant. They have since moved locations and now they are very near their old location. No table service, just a runner if you order food. One has to go up to the bar and order drinks for themselves. They don't have a book but they seem to have a good selection of songs. They had everything we requested. They do have paper slips for requesting songs. Nice crowd for a Saturday night. Mostly late 20's early 30's with a smattering of older folk. Normal people. No Scenesters. Good rotation of 7-!0 singers for a Saturday night. A few talented voices. No one was obnoxious. Everyone was friendly, respectful, and supportive. Karaoke is 6 Days a week. No Karaoke on Monday. Tuesday,Wednesday, Thursday Karaoke times 9P-1A. Friday and Saturday Karaoke 9:30P-1:30A. They also have Karaoke on Sunday 9P-1A which is a plus in my book since this is usually my favorite night to sing. Suggested improvements; Sound was good. They don't have a wireless mic, they should get one. I would have turned down the main volume a little. We sat far back in the room and we still had to shout at one another to be heard across the table. But it was not painfully loud. Some songs they should turn the music track down and the vocalist up so they don't have to strain and so the vocalist can hear themselves better. There was about a 20 minute song break of just DJ'd music. A bit long. We could have had another rotation or a half of one if they left that out. Pretty good night and venue for Karaoke. We hope to return and amend my review and maybe we will try their food and put fourth a update. They should offer up a menu when patrons order their first drink. This might boost their sales. A few choices for IPA's. Sing on !! I like this place. Clean and Simple. read more

I would say this is a pretty good neighborhood bar! Wendi one of the bartenders at this establishment really pays attention to her customers and gives them the attention they need! I have been coming to this bar since I turned 21 (2 years ago) and I have never had a bad experience here. I recently stopped by to watch the Ducks game although the place was a bit crowded (but that's what happens when you show a game everyone wants to watch) we got excellent service ! I have a like/hate relationship with AG. There's a lot going on - you'll get a very different experience depending on when you go. The food/drinks: the one constant. which is neither terrible nor impressive. The drinks can be very stiff, depending on who's pouring. The Asian food is slightly more impressive than the American, as this is what they seem to do best and what they did before rebranding into what it is now. The American food is your standard burgers/sandwiches/fried appetizers, etc. Good prices though. The atmosphere: never been for lunch, but the after work/happy hour/dinner crowd is nice, laid back. On Friday/Saturdays, once those folks start trickling out, the sun goes down, and the evening really gets rolling.....AG attracts a much different crowd, which is definitely not for everybody. read more

Came in for a drink after work and bartender was slammed this afternoon, we found a spot at the bar and she happily acknowledged us! A bit of advice to other bar goers who are too entitled to order at the bar or wait politely, it's a bar. For like $6 bucks I got pork fried rice, an egg roll, a cup of soup, an entree, and 2 cream cheese wontons! This place is amazing. I had such a good time here with my friends on my birthday a couple weeks ago. I think Katie was our waiter and she was awesome. Bought me a birthday shot and really made my time there enjoyable. Also acknowledged that I was military and gave a military discount! It's kind of a low volume bar most of time, so if you and a group just want to have a good night out with pool tables and cheap drinks, I'd recommend this place 100%. Asked for my takeout which was tied up nicely for me to go. Got home they forgot an item. Maybe if you spent less time on socializing during work and actually did your jobs then you wouldn't lose my business. Spent $40 shouldn't have left a tip. Not normally on the west side and decided to find a place for breakfast and a bloody. Found this sports bar by where I was going. Bartender Amber was very friendly. Her Bloody Mary was so good I had a second. Was only planning on having a quick bite and on my way. Her personality is what kept me here. I recently went there for happy hour and was disappointed. This is definitely a place for just regulars. They barely acknowledge you. Also the drink I had was horrible I don't know if it was too much liquor or too much mix, but I left 3/4 of it on the bar. It was not happy hour prices either although it was prior to 6pm. The guy next to me tried to order food and they were out of pork and other items he listed. It's so dark in there you can't see the menu if you wanted to (the regulars don't need to).
