Amazing service and super good food! Dropped in on way home from Mexico and was a nice treat!

Amazing stop to add in when going to Mexico or on the way back! We got here right before closing and they were very accommodating. We were going to order to go but they said we had time to sit and eat. It was so good! The onion rings were cooked perfectly and lightly battered. I had a bacon cheeseburger and that was so delicious! My boyfriend had a patty melt with jalapeños added and it was so good!! There was a few people there when we arrived and they were still there when we left. Everyone was having a great time. The restaurant is very welcoming and has great ambiance. The owner was very nice. We will definitely be stopping here again. read more

I love to cook, so we rarely go out to eat! We finally tried the Agave Grill and loved it. We've tried stopping several times on our way from Rocky Point, but we always missed them being open. Finally! We were able to find them open on a Monday night. Food was great, service was better, atmosphere was welcoming and fun. What a great little place for a fantastic burger! But if you want something else, the menu is pretty thorough. If you're Celiac like three of the four of us are, the owner is great about accommodating. While there are no GF buns, there are plenty of options to get a strong meal. (We happened to have GF buns with us and he allowed us to bring them in for our burgers. What a nice move!) We loved being able to support a small-town establishment and will definitely be back! read more

Can't say enough great things about this place! After a day of hiking in OCNM nothing is better than a cold beer and burger from here! The seasoned fries and onion rings are fantastic too! I visited my friend from Phoenix this week and stayed with her in Ajo. Not a lot to do but eat when it's 100F outside. We stopped by Agave Grille 2 and they were so great. Totally recommend stopping in. Pretty sure the gentleman who waited on us was the owner. He was charismatic and witty - totally good vibes. We ordered the cheese curds, adult grilled cheese, and a fatty delicious burger! The cheese curds were scrumptious. I am from Wisconsin so cheese curds are a staple of the Midwest. The garlic batter around the cheese curd was so good. My burger was fantastic and fully loaded. We got two pieces of cake to go, which we devoured that evening while watching the new Mario. I loved the carrot cake one especially. Always a favorite. The chocolate cake was good but very rich in chocolate flavor. By the end of our cheese curd conversation at check out, I had convinced him to look up on Google and try Wisconsin Chocolate Cheese! I hope he tries it because it's like consistency of chocolate fudge, tastes like chocolate but is cheese - disclaimer - this chocolate cheese is not found at this restaurant but a friendly shared interest in yummy foods across the country. read more

What a gem, which to us seemed in the middle of nowhere but luckily we checked Yelp reviews and found it. My husband said his Reuben was the best he'd ever had anywhere. And I am glad I ordered the junior size burger because it was huge! The sweet potato fries were perfectly done. They have a great selection of food and beverages. Service was great. The owner is very hands-on, he stopped by the table a few times to ask if we needed anything. And he gives his staff so much credit for the success of the business. This evening my girls and I tried agave grill. We arrived at approximately 530pm with hardly any people but when we left it started to pick up. The service was slow but understandable when the food came out. My girls and I finished all our food and the manager was great at giving credit to his staff at checkout. The food was very tasty and hot served. We ate on their patio that was shaded by an huge mesquite tree. The only suggestion I have is to cut down the other tree that is dead or carve something out of it. We will definitely stop again. Great spot in Ajo for a delicious meal. We went on a Saturday evening while driving through Ajo and are glad we stopped! I was going to order a veggie burger (they have multiple vegetarian entrees), but I saw the soup of the day special, creamy roasted red bell pepper soup, and I was sold. Soup and salad it was! The soup was incredible - creamy, hearty, and slightly spicy which was perfect on a cold December night. The soup is made in house and you can tell. My friend had the mushroom burger which looked great! She ate it quick though so no pictures. Friendly staff, great music (Fleetwood Mac mix when we were there), and tasty food. Stopped by Sunday. Great little spot on the main highway in Ajo! Met Eric the owner. The best guy ever. Made us some home made burgers. They were perfect. Hit the spot! We spend time in Ajo every year and always make at least a couple of trips to Agave Grill. The food is always good, they have a reasonable variety of options, and Eric has a killer sense of humor. Their hours are somewhat limited, but since we walk over from Shadow Ridge RV Park, it's not a big deal if we hit them when they're closed. We'll be back, for sure! read more

The Agave Grill was recommended by a local and that's the best way to choose a restaurant. Very basic picnic tables and a short menu. I had a burger which was cooked just as I asked. Hubby had the Reuben and said it was great. Fries were also good (and I'm picky about fries). Eric, the owner and bartender, is a friendly, hard worker, dedicated to his customers, with a loyal staff. The burgers are very good and the French fries homemade, but don't salt them so heavily Eric (older people have high blood pressure), and put the tomato/lettuce on the side. I'll remember this next time. Pretty good Margaritas too. He accommodated a large "rush" of about 40 or more very well-meaning folks from the "Witness at the Border" conference I was attending, on a Sunday night.
