    Treasure of Agaves!

Agaves our go to Mexican restaurant off of Bees Ferry!! This place is always rocking with the music and cool vibe!! Service is always outstanding and staff is very friendly and helpful!! I love the Golden Tacos with ground beef and the Taquitos Mexicanos both are delicious! Easy 5 Stars !!

Do NOT order takeout. I live one block away and tacos were so soggy that I couldn't even pick them up. I paid $6.99 for cheese sauce and it was in the smallest cup and it was spilt everywhere from the lid not being on properly. And the smallest thing of salsa. The corn was bland and barely any toppings. The meat was also bland with no seasoning. I would not recommend ordering from here to go! Waste of money!

Update, if you order to go and want queso...make sure you get the 10.99 one not the 7.99 one. The 7.99 one will give you a tiny cup of queso and the other one will give you what it really should be. Third time ordering tacos were medicore. I'll try the fajitas next time. The queso situation is just wild.

I've been to Agaves several times now and the food is always great in my opinion! They have a good selection of items. I usually get tacos or the Arroz Con Mariscos. Which is amazing. My only complaint was the staff can be a bit rude sometimes.

First time in Agaves. They have two entrances so I was confused where to meet hostess...maybe a sign on stand would help. Cute decor...I liked the spears. Very clean. Several TV's around bar playing various sports. I had read reviews but wanted to try for myself. I liked the salsa...good flavor and not too spicy hot. I'm not a Tex-Mex fan I'm more of a S. CA flavor lover. Chips typical. I ordered the lunch chimichanga with chicken. Service was fast. Chimichanga was stuffed full of white chicken. The salad with guacamole was fresh. My only complaint was the beans were lukewarm. The rest was delicious and I will stop in again.

The cucumber margarita is delicious!!!! We also had the chorizo queso and it was to die for. We don't get meals so I can't speak on that. Overall, a good atmosphere too. Bartender was attentive and very kind when we were there the day after Christmas.

Upon arrival, we placed our order on the counter and were surprised by the variety of options and the affordability of the menu overall. We ordered fried shrimp and a combo of catfish and shrimp, both came with fries and a soda. We knew it was all made to order to a delay was expected, what we did not expect was the length of the delay. There were a bunch of group orders placed over the phone before us which made our wait close to one hour. the food eventually came out, but the wait was painful . I kind of wish they prioritized in-house orders of people waiting instead of to-go orders , but so is the system. I think I will call ahead next time to make sure the food is ready when I arrive The food was good and enjoyable as was the staff who were super kind and working extra hard with the high volume orders. The decoration is nothing fancy and more of a very campy ocean theme which I personally found amusing.

He ordered crawfish, shrimp, and black mussels with corn and potatoes in the King Claw seasoning. As someone completely new to the experience, he was pleasantly surprised and ended up loving it. I went with two clusters of crab legs and shrimp with extra potatoes and corn in the Cajun seasoning. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The crab legs were easy to crack, the shrimp were cooked just right, and the Cajun seasoning had plenty of flavor without being overwhelming. The extra potatoes were definitely the right call. One thing that really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere was fun, casual, and exactly what you'd expect from a seafood boil spot--messy in the best way possible. We skipped appetizers and dessert because the seafood was more than enough, but neither of us left hungry. If you're craving crab legs, shrimp, or a classic seafood boil experience, King Claw Seafood is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

We were actually asked if we would be willing to sit at a table with others. We did not mind. Unfortunately they were out of shrimp and catfish and my wife was wanting shrimp and grits. Our son ordered the Hog Dog, (hot dog with pulled pork) my wife ordered the Fat Boy burger, and I ordered the country fried steak. Their order came with fries and I ordered mashed potatoes and coleslaw with my dinner. Hush puppies and a corn muffin came with my meal. It took about 25-30 minutes for our meal to arrive. My dinner was delicious. Country fried steak was tender and crispy. Mashed potatoes had chunks which I like, the coleslaw was creamy with great taste, hush puppies were fantastic, and the only disappointment was the corn muffin was not warm. My wife loved her burger. I love how they fire the shrimp at the last minute, so they don't sit in a heated soup for hours on end, becoming rubber bands. Next, I got the scallops with the saffron risotto. Yum! Girlfriend got the a snapper dish on a butter bean medley. She doesn't like Lima beans (which these actually appeared to be), so she ate around them, but she loved the fish! Service - 5 stars Our waiter was a nice gentleman named Tony. He was very friendly and helpful and timely with his service. Did a good job of helping my girlfriend navigate the wine menu (she's quite picky). They've actually got some aged white wines (Sauvignon blancs) that are quite different than what she normally drinks (she likes New Zealand varieties), so he steered her clear of them. Ambiance - 5 stars I found the interior of the place to be very inviting. Tall ceilings and modern architecture. A little on the loud side (we had a family with young kids nearby), but not bad. They actually have sound absorbing panels mounted on the ceiling, so you can tell they've given this element some thought. Finally, our table had a nice view of the kitchen and, as an avid personal chef, I really appreciate that aspect. Only odd thing (to me, at least) was that they sat us at a table right away (we arrived right at 5pm, which was when they opened), but told us that the bar seating was by reservation only. Odd...but maybe be the Kentucky Derby was coming on later that evening? In summary, I highly recommend this place and we will certainly be coming back!

We started with the Royal Tern oysters, and they absolutely stole the show. Fresh, briny, and perfectly prepared, they were easily one of the best things we ordered all night. If you're visiting for the first time, don't skip them. For our entrees, my husband ordered the whole fish with jalapeño cheddar rice and asparagus. The fish was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor, while the rice added a unique twist to the dish. I went with the swordfish and étouffée, and it was outstanding. The swordfish was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the étouffée added richness without overpowering the fish. It was one of those meals where you find yourself thinking about it long after you've left. We finished with the angel food funfetti cake topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. While it was a fun way to end the meal, it didn't quite live up to the incredible seafood and felt a little forgettable compared to everything else. Service was adequate but not particularly memorable, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, though it lacked some of the warmth and energy we expected. That said, the food alone is reason enough to visit. Between the oysters and the swordfish, Royal Tern proved why it's such a popular seafood destination.
