Sven invested four hours of his time at the property and found over 148 issues with a property that we thought was close to turnkey. He also offered a discount with our next inspection. It is hard to overstate how professional he is and how much he cares about his craft. You would be incredible lucky to work with Sven and his team. They are honest, thorough and will teach you so much about home inspection even if you've been through the process several times. When we finally one, we reached out to him again. It was important to do the inspection quickly because the contact was not going to be subject to inspection, and we didn't lose the bid. He agreed to do the inspection the day after we contacted him. As we did the walk through with him, he provided a number of very helpful suggestions, but felt that the house (from the 1860s) was in very good shape. In addition, unlike many other inspectors, he is an engineer and was able to provide guidance on structural matters (which fortunately was fine). He produced a 168 page report the following day (with lots of pictures), which also included a summary. We found him very knowledgeable and helpful, and highly recommend him.

He was professional, caring and took the time to educate me on how these systems work, what to look for and made sure I had an understanding of it. We went at my pace which I appreciated. He was friendly, courteous and provided quick turnaround of the report. I was particularly impressed with the use of the drone camera, Ray flew it around and performed a detailed inspection of the roof. He discovered a problem with the chimney cap that had been professionally installed a few weeks beforehand. He provided pictures that I forwarded to the chimney co and they came out the next day to resolve. Had this not been fixed it's likely the cap would eventually get blown off the chimney and cause damage, so I'm pretty happy to have averted a potential disaster.

Then on top of it all, the inspector report shows issues with windows and there are pics to show the damage. Which I have no issues with! Now my roof is 11 years old and they are saying I need a new roof year there are no pics to show any damage. If ur a seller my advice is beware and put cameras in ur house to watch how much they disrespect it.
