Agile Auto is one of the few places in the area that has AWD dyno capabilities, so when it came time to begin the upgrades to my Infiniti Q50 RS AWD, I decided to try them out. Their dynamometer is a Dynapack with four units that mount directly to the hubs, rather than putting the car on rollers. Maybe a little more work to set up, but you get a true at the wheels reading on a test bed that's safer for your car. Hill, the owner and tuner, has years of experience, and is truly an expert at his trade. He made it clear that in my case, where the car is my daily driver, as well as a vehicle that I intend to run on track, that safety and reliability is their top priority, followed by performance. Tony listens to and understands his customers. When considering exhaust systems, after some discussion, he recommended one of the best engineered cat back systems on the market. Although I had not uncovered Invidia on my own, after discussing with Tony, and following up with my own research, it was clear that this was a great system, and perfect for my car. He was able to get excellent pricing on the unit and was very fair on the installation labor. He showed me the system before installation and allowed me to inspect the installation before taking it off the lift. The Invidia engineering and workmanship are outstanding. Beautiful welds, cast flanges, no clamps, an awesome cross pipe, and mufflers that locate under the heat shields, up and out of harm's way, where they belong. The quality of the installation was top notch, and the resulting performance is great. In my case, that means a quiet interior at cruising speeds, a great note under acceleration, and definitely some more of what sinks you into the back of the seat (torque). I have a few more upgrades to take care of before my first track day. Agile will be doing the work. read more

To start off, i have a tuned 2011 wrx with a hundred thousand miles on it. I ended up having issues that eluded to a blown head gasket, and having gust had the head gaskets replaced a month before by a local mechanic i figured I'd take it to a more reputable company. I live about an hour and a half-two hours away from Agile. The car got there and within a day or two they had done a complete tear down. They called my immediately and informed my that i had more issues than i can name, including a cracked block, cracked turbo (which was the cause of loud backfires and under-boosting) and a plethora of other issues. They gave me a detailed estimate and went out of their way to make sure they were as cost-effective as possible. They had the car back together within a month, but it could have been WAY sooner if i had the money to lay out all at once. They were unbelievable kind, understanding, and willing to work with me. They got my car back to me about a week ago and it's running better than i could have ever expected. They assured me countless times that the car would be running like new when i got it back and sure enough it did. When i got home i realized there was a small issue with my clutch pedal which they replaced, so i brought the car back and they made time to replace an overseen worn piece and repeatedly apologized for their mistake, fixing the issue for free as they had overlooked the problem. Everybody in the shop was very nice and down to earth, to the point where i was able to have a very enjoyable conversation for an hour. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

***BEWARE*** my experience with this place was a nightmare!! Went in to have some parts replaced but what I ended up with was a disaster. After dropping the car off didn't receive any updates on the work being done. After a month and a half they finally called to update me. When getting my car back many things weren't working anymore. AC heat and fans. The odometer all the gauges were not working anymore. After bringing this to their attention they deny it was there doing, of course. I also want to mention if you have any aftermarket parts on the outside of your car to put the stock parts back on before taking it there. My parts were stolen off my car while in their possession. While having all the parts with me that I wanted to install they charged me over 3000+ for labor only witch was 8 hours worth of work. I have a 1992 corvette it had a major electrical problem it had to do with the security systems . Many hours working on the issue also had it towed to a local corvette shop they could not fix it . Almost parked it . Though one more chance maybe , so glad it made the right choice well let me tell you they FIXED IT after a total of 7 months of not having my car yesterday I picked her up what a rush driving her again ,Thanks to TONY and TRES for making it happen . I use Agile for all my work. The staff are good at answering my questions and giving me realistic time frames for work being completed. I have an Evo and there aren't too many Evo shops around.... so, I took it to the Subie shop. The guys there take care of you. Call if there is a change from the work order. And always ask you for a price point on work. (That means if repairs hit this number$$ they stop work and call to explain before continuing to charge you more). Unlike other shops I've used where they just charge you and do the extra work. They do my tunes, the change my oil after every track weekend and they're currently rebuilding my engine I blew because well..... I failed on track. All on all this place has always done me right and always returned my calls. I guess it's like the saying goes for the other folks posting on here "act like a d**k get treated like one" I always give them time to respond, I know they're busy. I never demand to be top priority. I always give them my time frame for needing the car back. (You know, so the ass holes who think their oil change is priority #1 don't write bad Yelp reviews because it took a while) all in a good folks if you're a good person to work with. If you are a Subaru owner, don't believe the hype. These guys are just scam artists. They will make you feel confident, and then a week later still have your car with no results. and they will tell you that you owe them money for the apparent work they did that they have no results to show from! Take your Subaru to any other shop, you wont be as disappointed as if you took it to Agile Automotive. read more

I've been getting the runaround from Agile Auto since they failed to do the work they quoted that I detailed earlier in the thread. For starters I've called them multiple times and rarely got a response. When I did finally talk to the owner, Hill, I was told that he would look into and get back to me. That call never came. I called again, left messages, no response. Finally this week (several months later) I called and got a call back from Tony, who had nothing to do with my visit. That didn't stop him from trying to BS me about what had transpired. For starters he told me that they had never seen my car before I showed up for my appointment. Of course I documented my initial visit earlier in this thread. From there the lies flowed like water. He didn't know that I had rented a car and kept saying they didn't do the work because it would've taken too long and they didn't want me to be stranded with no car. He kept repeating repeating that lie despite me repeatedly telling him I had a rental car and the manager on duty that day knew it. I had asked the manager at the time why I wasn't told as soon as they decided they weren't going to do the work and he said he really didn't know. But I'm pretty sure it was because they wanted to do the secondary work I agreed to have done while they had my subframe pulled. Their "expert" looked at my car on my initial visit so there no surprises on the day of my visit. Tony stuck with his story that I only went to their shop once... a blatant lie. He said that we both were not remembering things as they were... with no proof that any facts I laid out weren't accurate. As I repeatedly called him on each lie he got more and more confrontational. He finally said he could get Hill to speak to me, who was the person I had called for anyway, not some guy pretending to know what happened. Here's the really galling part: I had expressed my displeasure at the time I paid for the work when I picked up my car with the manager. I had called repeatedly since I'd been to the shop with only a couple of responses. I have my phone records and documented my trips on my calendar. Hill said that it's been so long he wasn't sure of the details. But the details he was sure of were pure BS. He also said that I had not brought my car up for my initial estimate. That's why they didn't really know what was involved in installing toe and camber kits. Despite the fact that their guy took my car into the shop to make the estimate. Then he repeated the nonsense about not wanting to leave me stranded despite me having a rental car. He had dragged out responding me so long that he actually used that delay as part of "my" problem. Clearly not getting anywhere with his lies, he asked me what I wanted. I told him that I was overcharged for the unfinished caliper paintjob that they gouged me on. He said that there was nothing that he "could" do. I told him that there were things that he could do, he just refused to do them. He said he wasn't in the business of giving refunds... for work they hadn't done. They had my car all day and couldn't even finish the simplest job. Then he added this little gem... Now he contended that they had called me in the morning to tell me that they couldn't do the work in the time they estimated because they had never seen my car before. So the long conversation that I had with the manager the evening of the screwed up service about why he had not called me and let me come back at the end to find out the surprise was just something I made up. Listening to this much BS was exhausting and Hill wasn't getting anywhere convincing me that the lies he was selling had any merit. He said I should've known their estimate wasn't accurate... amazing to hear a business owner tell a customer that they should've known that they were full of crap. I told him that since they were a shop that does race prep among other things I didn't question how quickly they could do something. For all I knew they may have had a method for installing the kits without fully removing the subframe. The conversation ended with a concession. He said they'd finish the caliper paint job. I told him that me spending at least another three hours driving and hanging around had me taking a big hit for their shoddy work. He offered to pay for my gas. As I mentioned earlier in the thread on www.bimmerforums.com I had no problem with the initial manager when I drove up for the estimate and when I drove up for the appointment. I got a great vibe and no indication that they didn't know what they were doing. I spent my time and money trying to do business with them. After I had the problem I had one call with Hill saying he'd look into it and the rest was frankly pure BS. I've dealt with bad service providers before who lied through their teeth and are as shortsighted as Hill and Tony so this isn't something new. It's just disappointing. They'd rather flat out screw me due to their incompetence than do the right thing. read more
