VERY same 5# bottle the technician used, available TO THE PUBLIC, for $95. With the recharge kit for $159.95 ( making the cost about $32/#). Both have free shipping. Do I feel overcharged? Absolutely! I think 25% markup is fair given logistics, storage, acquisition, etc. That would have put me, for the refrigerant and kit at $40 per pound, not $110, which is a 350% markup!!! I have called the office, and continue to wait for a call back. The office called and sent me snail mail to ensure that I knew the refrigerant is not covered under my warranty. Not that I thought it was, but interesting action. I await a call.., again. They finally gave me a lil discount, and wanted me to know about the credentialing and training their techs take. Hey, I've been around construction over 30 years...looks to me like the intensive training is in upselling on services.

This is how they want their customer base - ignorant, or maybe just plain stupid. This way they control the narrative. One commercial shows one tech exclaiming that "the blower motor is bad" and then another tech pokes his head in saying, "I've got a new motor." Of course you do. You stock those on the van because that's an easy sell. So is the capacitor, and many other parts that infrequently fail, but you can easily convince your customers that they need new parts, and eventually an entirely new system. This company has a history of deceptive business practices. Read the reviews. They are not wrong. Use a company that respects you as a customer and treats you with honesty.

I sent their General Manager, Jim, the estimate I'd received from the other guys and a separate second opinion along with my concerns. Instead of speculating, Jim sent James out to evaluate our system personally. James spent two hours inspecting everything and discovered the previous company had recommended a massive amount of unnecessary equipment and failed to mention that the actual issues were caused by their own poor installation. The best part? Cool Willy's didn't charge us a dime for the visit, calling it a "re-evaluation." The next day, they sent an estimate for the actual repairs that was less than half the price of the original quote. It's rare to find this level of integrity.

(No Hot Water) They arrived to assess why the pilot light wasn't on and determined that the Thermopile assembly had failed! Because of their thoroughness, they discovered that it was still under warranty and supplied me the phone number to Rheem so that I could call and get the part shipped to me for repair. Once the part came in, they were able to repair it!! They didn't feel safe for me with the way the venting flow was for gas to the water heater so, while here, they replaced that at no cost! Kind, knowledgeable, professional, great price, on time and liked my pups! They did a great job and I would highly recommend them!!

This review is late in coming but I would definitely rate this company as one of the best I've ever…read moredealt with.  With an older house we finally had some issues with high water usage that couldn't be explained.  Had a couple of large companies come out to diagnose and a company recommended by a neighbor.  Assuming the water line to the house had to be replaced we got two quick high cost bids and a much more thoughtful (and cheaper) bid from the referred company Dunn Plumbing.        Over the next week or so, water usage mysteriously went down so the line replacement was put on hold.  We did ask Dunn to fix a minor leak on the water softener which they scheduled a few days out given its non emergency nature.      We happened to be in England when this minor repair was being done when signs of the major water leak appeared.  Waiting until we returned was not an option as the house-sitter and pets were in residence.  Dunn put in a temporary line right away as they knew conditions required it.  Coordinating a new water line isn't the easiest thing to do at any time and being out of county with a 8 hour time difference didn't help.  We felt comfortable enough with the company that we went ahead with the job and it was done quickly and for the previously agreed quote.  Very happy with the service.      Then last year the sewer line backed up in the middle of the night (while we had out of town company of course) and Dunn came out right away and installed the clean-out valve (we already knew we needed one) and all has been better since.  Again, very happy with the service.
