Our toilets started raising up and not flushing. We had a man come over and clear the vent, which seemed to solve the problem. But then it returned. Meanwhile our drains had always been sort of slow I called Drain Medics to just look down the vent pipe to see if it had really been properly cleared. They have a visual tube to stick down pipes and see what's going on. I thought the vent pipe may not have been fully unclogged. But when Austin arrived he immediately spotted something on the front yard that changed everything. A wet patch right under our window was in fact leaking sewage. With poopoo and all! When he put the visual tube in that big drain pipe we saw the entire inside of a very corroded old cast iron pipe going all the way out some 30 feet. Austin said this rough corrosion would catch T-paper and plug it up. Then in a day or two they'd melt, but then in a few days it'd do the same thing again. Austin told us most plumbers would replace the drain pipe. That would dig up our lovely natural lawn, take several days, and would be pricey. He could do a coring out of the inner corrosion of our pipe and then coat that with a strong epoxy resin which would fix the problem. It's guaranteed for 25 years at about 3/4 the pipe-replacement price,would also save our front yard from destruction, and take only a day. We accepted. Upon further research, I found they were indeed representing the situation correctly and their prices were very reasonable. And moreover they among the few plumbers uniquely qualified to do such repair and at such a price, as this was their specialty. They showed up and did the work brilliantly. I've watched people work and have some experience in the field, and they were top notch. Everything went without a hitch. Again, I cannot praise their professionalism, friendliness, and efficacy enough. Well, a few days have passed. The drains drain faster. The toilets flush better. A job I feel really good about. I consider it among the best investments in our little old casita that we've made. read more

I am so happy we chose this outfit. We had a slow drain, attempted to snake it myself, then called in a different company to try. They fared no better, and a week or so later things were backing up again. Not fun. Drain Medics came out, put an inspection camera down the pipe (at no charge), and imaged a collapsed pipe in the middle of my living room floor and intruding roots inside the pipe. Disaster. They gave me a competitive quote and left me to contemplate my options. After sulking about that for a few days, we called them back and they quickly scheduled the project, and then rescheduled it at our request. On Monday of this week their crews arrived, took up our carpet, built an airtight enclosure around the work area, and jackhammered their way through the floor and dug 5 feet down to the problem area. This was a PITA for them; contrary to what I told them, our slab is in fact post-tensioned, and they had to work around those supports, and randomly-laid water supply pipes too, before getting to the trouble spot. The root they extracted was as thick as my leg, and the waste pipe split and crushed. No wonder that tree was so happy :-). 2 days later, its done. The new pipe is laid in a bed of rock salt, which will keep the root at bay in that area. The 8 x 3-foot hole in my floor was backfilled, tamped, and re-cemented with added rebar for strength. They took down the enclosure, vacuumed and cleaned up all of the dust, dirt, tools, etc, and we're back in business, and our house did NOT get destroyed with dirt and dust as I feared it might. On Friday one of their business partners will return to re-lay the carpet. Outstanding. When I tell you I was wound up about this project, Austin (head cheese of Drain Medics) can vouch for that. He took my calls after hours, assuaged any concerns I had, was responsive to my ideas, etc. He and his crew also showed up on-time, were considerate of my WFH spouse, and just pleasant and respectful of us and our property at all times. What an amazing experience, I mean, I'm floored! I posted a request to get estimates to have someone come out and help us figure out if we had a leak and where it was coming from. Let me just say that I did receive many responses however all had an estimate to show up and look around. Totally expect this, I require a service and I need to be able to pay for it, especially in this day and age. Austin from Drain Medics plumbing also sent me a message, it said, "tell me more as to what's going on". I explained that for the past year, my water bill had been insane and I finally got fed up. People that fill up their pools use less water than my husband and I. I sent him my number and we spoke soon after that. Austin listens! Austin asked me many more questions as to my issue! Austin was honest from the start about the scope of the work that needed done. It was obvious that about 10' of pipe under the kitchen sink was disintegrated. Also, that it would be a good preventative move to epoxy coat the rest of the lines in the house to avoid any more future slab disruption. Two other drain companies wanted to line the disintegrated pipe under the sink (photo) with an epoxy liner and did not have a good plan for removing the tile for the least amount of disruption. If the tile did have to be removed, it would be all the way across the room! Not necessary! This would have been the end of the tile floor! DM's saved our floor! So for the best up front plan and bang for your buck, call Drain Medics. Austin and Robert approached the job with so much consideration that we really can't thank them enough. They pointed out the need to replace some plumbing line in addition to the drain pipe and at a nominal fee. This was a big job but they accomplished a lot in 5 days. I highly recommend Drain Medics they are the best service. Called them for a slow drain that my tenant reported. I spoke to Robert was polite, courteous, and respectful. He scheduled an appointment the next day asking where in Tucson the house was. I got a call from Jack the next day that he was coming out as planned between three and five when Jack was coming over, he called again to confirm that he was going to be there. Jack performed the inspection and found that the drain was draining. OK so he did a courtesy camera Snake down to the street and found a little grease buildup and nothing that would cause a blockage so after all this, they did not charge me. Had a slow-draining toilet and expected a partial blockage in the water pipe. I made an appointment on their website and Austin came out at the appointed time and examined the waste pipe with his digital camera "seesnake". Finding no blockage, he came in and flushed the problematic toilet. He quickly surmised that the problem wasn't with the drain at all, but that the water jets under the bowl rim were partially clogged with calcium build-up from our hard water, causing the bowl to fill too slowly for a good flush. I asked him if I could descale them with a gel acid and he confirmed it, recommending that if that didn't work I should consider replacing the toilet (which is many decades old). He charged me nothing for the visit and gave me a friendly goodbye. Drain Medics is what I would call a great American company. I highly recommend them. read more
