Came here because it's right around the corner from my house so I always passed it. Had recently purchased a gun and came to look into getting classes as a woman and first time gun purchaser. All of the guys there were super helpful, kind and knowledgeable. One guy (can't remember his name but he's a tall, black dude) stuck with me the entire time and helped me from start to finish. First took me into a classroom to teach me about gun use and safety in general. Taught me how to load and aim. Then we went inside the range and he stuck with me the entire time, helping me with my stances, how to shoot, and aiming. They close at 7pm but didn't let us in at 6:03 because they take their last shooters at 6. This was not on their website so my family and I wasted our time coming here and being turned around for being 3 minutes later than their unknown last call. Says it takes about a half hour to "set up"??? Setting up the piece of paper and doing a walk through takes half an hour?? Such a shame this is the closest range my husband can bring his favorite gun to but I guess we'll keep making the trip to Pasadena because I am NEVER wasting my time here again read more

Don't ever take the LTC class here. Instructor Danny Miller barely speaks the English language and rambles on aimlessly. The class schedule was from 12-5, it ended up being from 12-7 due to the total disorganization of the instructor and his lack of being properly supplied. Really easy and really simple when we decided last minute to go in for a quick birthday "shot." It was my brothers first time at a range and Colton made it really simple for him to learn safety and shoot some pretty fun targets. I appreciate the ease and set up. Even what appears to be regulars were treated equal to newbies. That speaks to good business practices. I drove past Agis about a week ago. Several colleagues at work expressed how Safe, clean and comfortable the shooting lanes are. It is nice to stand on a solid floor in the shooting lane. The climate control is great. The video feeds on the shooting lanes and the big screen TV monitors are really very nice. The personnel at the business are knowledgeable. All brass shells is a little hard to swallow, since my magnum shells are plated. UGH! I had a very good experience for my first visit. I will be going back again. read more

I have been to several gun ranges and this is by far one of my favorites. It is clean, nice, and well ventilated. The Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and easily approachable where you do not feel stupid asking a question. They are also safety conscious as well. read more

I generally don't take the time to do reviews. Something has to be horrible, or great. In this case it was more than great! Agis Arms is super professional. I am new to shooting a gun, and the first range I tried was very loud, had bad ventilation and the teacher we hired rushed us through the information. At Agis Arms we came just to practice what we learned at the other range. It was much quieter and had amazing ventilation. Also, one of the owners saw how my husband and I were shooting and came and gave us pointers that really improved our shooting. This was above and beyond service! I wish we had started out our shooting experiences here! read more

Good range, good amount of lanes, nice and clean establishment and friendly staff. I particularly liked that one of the staff members was very attentive and was checking to ensure that each individual was using their PPE. The only thing for ladies, is sooooo cold in there, so ensure to take a sweater. We will be returning as it is very close to home! read more

Very nice place. They have safety equipment for you to use if you forgot to bring some. I always make sure I got my license, eye protection and ear protection. They have more than 10 lanes for you to shoot in. The guys that help sweep up the casings are really nice and always keep it clean for you. You can rent different kind of guns to test out if you're interested. They sell ammo also if you're out. Only downer about this place is that they only let you shoot with brass casings. Other than that? I can't really complain. read more

Not a bad place. May not be the best. But not bad. Everytime I go, it's packed out and I end up waiting for an open spot. One complaint is they won't let you shoot steel casings, only brass. That sucks. read more

I usually go to Best Shot range but this past weekend when I was visiting family they had over an hour wait so we ended up at this range. Pretty nice range with probably at least 20 plus lanes or so. The only downside of this range, which is pretty important, is that there is very little regard for firearm safety. We saw three guys in the lane next to us reloading and pointing their gun towards our side instead of keeping the firearm safely facing forward. There were multiple times that they did not follow BASIC safe handling...I mean these were actions that MOST ranges would've kicked them out for. I was very surprised no one said anything to them but that's probably because they lack safety officers IN the shooting range/lanes. There were literally NO safety officers in the shooting area at one point, and at most times there was only one. It was insufficient considering the amount of people in the range shooting at one time. Most ranges I go to, that are smaller than this one, have at least two officers to enforce safety rules. In addition, the one safety officer that was partially there, had his back turned pretty much the whole time we were there. He was talking to people on one side of the range completely disregarding everyone else shooting. I will not be returning. I shoot regularly with my husband and this is probably one of the worst ranges in terms of safety. I hope they read this review and implement safety measures, hopefully preventing an accident. 4/1/19 today was my first time in the range and I have to say I absolutely love this range and I will be a regular it's super clean and the staff was awesome Sam was the guy who helped us and is very educated on guns and gun safety helped and really educated my girlfriend about gun helped her feel a little more safe and educated around them read more

My wife and I are new to the shooting sport. We decided to visit Agis due to its proximity to our home. When we walked in we were attended by its staff in a very cordial and friendly manner. We asked for a weapon's handling class for beginners and they coordinated the initial training with Javi. We were very satisfied with Javi's training style. He didn't rush through the process. He ensured we cover safety, weapon handling and weapon maintenance and cleaning. He came with us to the fire range and assisted us during our first shooting session. KUDOS for Javi. The Agis facilities are well maintained and the range/shooting area was very modern. We were pleased and for sure we will come back. read more

Went to get a muzzle brake removed as I could not remove it. 5 minutes and he was done. Asked how much and he said just come back and see us. That's 5 starts from me . Will come back after vacations. read more

Dillan was great he helped us when we came in and gave step-by-step instructions on how to load and use the gun. He was very patient and we were able to shoot pretty well for a rookie and one who shoots once every decade. We had a great time and are looking forward to visiting often. read more

Great place to go practice your shooting skills at... and it's very very safe there great staff and there is always a range officer watching the lanes making sure everyone is being safe with their firearms and I think they got very good air circulation that helps a lot with all the gun powder from shooting... I feel like I can breathe better then best shot or marksmen and it's kids friendly also so if u want to start training your kids with a firearm this is a great place to start at. read more

Took an LTC class from Sean P at Agis Arms. Sean was a great instructor and kept the class very engaged. Would definitely recommend taking from Sean. Have also been here numerous times for the range. Have been given very good service. Was there with my son when the nearby construction knocked out their power. Was given a full rain check for the range fee and gun rentals. Have had no issues with any of the range equipment and the staff are attentive if you have any issues. read more

I went here on a Monday around 4pm. There were other people there, but there was no wait. We brought our own gun and ammunition. We paid 2.50 for protective glasses that we could keep. Ear muffs were complimentary. It was 18 dollars to enter the range. The staff was nice. The place was clean. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

For those of us that want to sharpen our gun handling skills, this is a great place to do it. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of firing lanes. They carry all the popular cals of ammo. Since one of my firearms was a new assault rifle and scope, they brought out a chair and bench rest to assist in sighting in the scope (making allowance for the short distance, of course). I'm currently in Texas for work from California and I had some free time so i decided to stop by. Walked in and explained how i haven't shot a gun in quite a few years and was looking to have an experience while i was in town. The staff helped me pick some guns that would give me the most fun while i was here for the short time. Dillan and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful with showing me what i needed to know and helping me in my selections. I would definitely come back here anytime I am in Houston just from the level of helpfulness and the great experience i had while i was here.
