We have used Dorothy for both walking our dog Belle and boarding her when we needed a safe, loving environment.

Now that I no longer live in my old place or in the area, I feel more comfortable writing this…read more Jeremy walked my dog for a few months after I moved to San Diego. He did a fine job, and I didn't have any major issues. My only issue in the beginning was that he told me AFTER our meet and greet that the time clock for walks starts when he walks into the building. I showed him the entrance closer to my place (which is right by the entrance), but he wasn't using that one at first. While I had wished that he communicated this during our meet and greet, I wasn't upset by it after we had established a steady routine. A few weeks/months after I settled into my new job, I had been granted the ability to work from home full time with a few occasional sporadic days in the office. I texted him to tell him that I won't need a walker after a certain date and explained that I'll be WFH. I even told him that I'd still like to reach out on days I'd have to be in-office. Later that day, he called to "ask" me what he did wrong. His tone was extremely confrontational and aggressive. I reiterated that I don't need a walker anymore because my situation had changed. He kept demanding an explanation. Honestly, I felt really put off by this. I had to tell him several times that it's because the situation had changed and it took multiple attempts to get him off the phone. He kept trying to push me because he didn't seem to believe me. Honestly, I don't care if he did. Before this conversation, I probably would have asked him to walk my dog on the days that I'd be in the office, but this made me so uncomfortable. Over the period of several months, he occasionally texted and/or called to ask me if we had any dog walking needs. I didn't answer, but eventually texted him to tell him that we did not. I understand his wanting a "reason" to try to improve. However, I gave him a reason. And even if I didn't, I don't necessarily owe him one to the point where he has to demand one repeatedly.

Also, immediately following the Pug-walks with Kay, my Louigi was not out of breath, even though the weather was very sunny and hot (Pugs have a definite tendency of overheating). Kay consciously followed my exact directions, in order to find the perfect location, for my Pug to have a nice and shady route, every time. Also, Kay acknowledged the items of concern, which I had emailed to her, immediately prior to the initial scheduled dog-walk (at my front-door). Thank you very much, Kay!!! Kay is very compassionate and has a very positive disposition. Kay is very reasonable about everything and has a very competitive rate. I am a definite fan of Kay and her great company called Dog Walks and Soul Talks!!! (FYI, lately I have tried a few other Dog Walk Companies and they charge you way too much for way too little).x

I found Kay online and she offered to do a free meet & greet to make sure we're compatible. Bandit is a reactive dog on a leash, which means he lunges and whines/barks at other dogs on walks. It was really hard for me to find a walker that could take on all 60lbs (lean mass) of him. It was doggy love at first sight, he was super excited to meet her and was really chill with us chatting. I quickly schedule a dog walk for the next morning. Bandit had loads of fun on his dog walk and he was pretty much pooped afterward. Like bro! It was only 30 mins. Kay is definitely now our regular dog walker.

I'll be totally honest: as a first-time dog owner to an Australian Shepherd, I was feeling a little underwater. I knew I needed help, but I was so nervous that professional training would be an investment I couldn't justify. That all changed the second I got on a consultation call with James from WhosWalkingWho.com James is one of those rare people who is just... real. He's straightforward and incredibly genuine. Right away, I could tell he wasn't just trying to "sell" me a package or take my money--he actually cared about my situation. He has this amazing way of explaining things that just clicks. He doesn't gatekeep his knowledge; he truly wants to hand you all the tools and resources you need so that both you and your pup can be the best versions of yourselves.
