Best in San Diego! Been taking our two dogs here for over 7 years, never had a problem. Kathy is very good with the dogs, she knows how to handle them well and she is kind...always exchanging kisses with the dogs. Her prices are good and you get good quality service. I've been to other places (when Kathy is booked weeks out) with higher prices and much less quality and love for my pups...other places don't show the love that Kathy does. Might add most of my family takes their dogs here as well. We've all had very positive experiences. She can be busy, so allow time for an appointment. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE... Dropped off my 3lb Maltese on Wednesday at 2pm to be groomed. I started to worry once 6:30 rolled around and I had yet to hear anything. When I drove over to check in I was greeted with "what are you doing here?" My little one was not finished four and a half hours after I dropped her off!!! How is that possible?! This "lady", and I use the term loosely, then began to handle my tiny dog so roughly right in front of my eyes that I had to tell her to STOP. SHE THEN THREW MY DOG AT ME! Are you serious? Her actions were completely unacceptable. I am still in shock that anyone could treat a defenseless animal in such a way in front of their owner. God only knows what she does behind closed doors. Please stay away if you value the health and safety of your pets. read more

I took my yorkie for his first real grooming experience to bostone's. I had my doubts at first that I would return and find myself with either an ugly or traumatized dog. When I returned, he was jumping around and was happily responding to anyone in the shop. He also looked very cute in his new bandana. Love Kathy!!! I have been taking my 7 year old yorkiepoo to Kathy since she was about 4 months old. I bring her approx. every 2 months, for a bath and a trim around the feet, head and face. If she has any matting Kathy takes her time and brushs the matts out, not like some of the big chain stores that have a groom shop. I used to use one of those groom shop for my cockapoo and if they found one matt on him, out came the clippers and they would just shave him instead of taking the time to comb it out. Needless to say that I stopped taking him there 7 years ago, he now goes with his sister to Bostone's Doggy Groom Shop. Kathy is wonderful with my dogs and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. read more

I've been taking my dogs to Bostone's since 1996! This is the BEST groomer you can find. I found Kathy when I could not find another groomer brave enough to work with a Rottie. I called Bostone's, explained the problem I was having with a Rottie that had horrible itching and skin inflammation, and she told me to bring him in. She recommended an aloe vera bath and a oil treatment for his skin. Two visits helped clear this skin condition up that very expensive visits over the past 6 months to the vet's office, along with shots, pills, and dips could not.
