I've been going to the restaurant in Wellington since they opened. The new restaurant on 441 & Stribling is a little but closer to home, so we, my family has gone there a little more often. This afternoon I made a reservation for 6:30 pm. When I arrived at 6:25 I was told the earliest I could have a table was 7:00 pm. I asked why and was told because a couple of big parties had shown up. I asked if they weren't honoring the reservations and was told 'no'. Let me be perfectly clear. This is one our favorite places it makes us feel like we are home on our kitchen. The service was a little off last night but the food is always wonderful! We started with the house salad with a sweet homemade dressing, and to top it off with fresh shredded cheese. We each chose to create our own we each had angel hair pasta with a variety of toppings. I adored the eggplant, which was seasoned to perfection and tender. The lunch special came with a choice of soup or salad. I ordered the house salad. I forgot to ask for the dressing on the side as I usually do but I was kind of glad. When I tasted the salad, the dressing and greens were delectable! My colleague and guests ordered a variety of items that also looked amazing: Soup, pastas, meatballs. Service was on point. Looks like Agliolio has another location in Boynton. Best thing was the eggplant panini, I would rate a solid 7/10. Eggplant was crispy, good bread and cheese was great! Chicken Parm's pasta was rubbery and sauce had no flavor. The lasagna was also pretty mediocre. For the price point you could find better Italian in the area. Unfortunately I took my family here only 1 time. We ordered simple Italian food exp chicken parmesan with spaghetti. What we got wasnt in my personal opinion Chicken Parm. It was cover with too much sauce . A small amount of what they called mozzarella cheese they gave me something other than spaghetti. My child order penne alla vodka which the sauce was red not pink. We sent our food back and lefted tge restaurant that evening. This was more than 1 year ago. I can update my review of over four years ago. Sometimes it's good and this time it was annoying. The music was too deafening and conversation was very difficult. Otherwise the food was good. The Cioppino pasta was good , not excellent, skimpy on the seafood, yet the tomato sauce was excellent and not runny. My husband had ordered the bolognese with penne, server recommended the Sunday gravy with meatballs and sausage, which he absolutely loved. I had the pink sauce with grilled shrimp, was absolutely delicious. The pasta is fresh and home made. We will definitely be back and I would not be surprised if this becomes one of our new go-to's. We arrived on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. My brother & sister in-law had eaten here before and loved it, so we were excited to dine here tonight. We were mixed in our impressions, some things were absolutely delicious... my brother loved the fried calamari but my sister-in-law wasn't as thrilled by them. The shrimp Francese was the winning dish in my opinion. The shrimp in both entrees were perfectly cooked. The Francese had the most delicious flavor.. now I wish I'd had the whole entree to myself. The crabmeat stuffing in the stuffed shrimp was a bit too fishy to me. The chicken Parmesan looked delicious and my Sister in law tried it and said it was very good, but my brother wasn't thrilled by how thinly it was pounded. The garlic bread was to-die-for! Crispy crust, soft fresh centers with a perfectly mixed garlic oil brushed on with plenty on the plate to dip. So although we were less thrilled with some aspects of our meal, the things we loved were outstanding. This leads me to believe there was an off-night for certain entrees. So we would probably try it again. Non food notes: The service was very friendly and attentive. The outside chairs were very hard and uncomfortable... cushions would have been nice. Also it was LOUD out there! I opted for vegetables instead of pasta but the only veggies I got were the ones that would have been on top of the pasta. I must have miss ordered because I was not pleased with my food. My husband ordered the angel hair with a few veggies on the side in the sauce and he enjoyed his. The Meatball Appetizer was good and had plenty of sauce and ricotta. The service was very quick. Almost too quick as we felt very rushed out of the restaurant even though we had a reservation and was on time. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, look no further this is the place. We recently dined celebrating a graduate. It was a party of 9 and the staff was so accommodating. Our server was on top of everything and made sure the little ones had their food first. Ok now dinner: Be sure to get their bread it's fresh, hot and SO good! I love how you can build your own pasta dish. So the possibilities are endless. My personal fave is the angel hair pasta with white clam sauce. Pizza sauce and lasagna sauce is simple, like Ragu without seasonings simple. their baked lasagna was technically baked but I expected a light crust if browned cheese on top, and something thicker than a frozen lasagna. Bread and oil at table are fine, but a bit too hard (stale or over toasted), croutons in salad matched. Chicken and salmon were just ok. I really want to support local businesses and scratch kitchens, but honestly the food is no better than Carrabas at 2-3X the price. Service was amazing though. Too bad. won't be back.
