I was greeted by Daniele who gave us a well situated table and we were all well taken care of by our server Zohran and the bus boys who were professional, friendly, and efficient. The food was excellent, even if it wasn't on the menu, the Chef was nice enough to prepare me a nice tagliatelle all'Amatriciana. I appreciated that very much. We were all happy with our meals. I finally made it to Cafe Sapori on Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach to check out the vegan menu and honestly... this is the kind of place that reminds you vegan dining can still feel elegant, upscale, and genuinely special. Warm lighting, attentive service, beautifully plated dishes, and the kind of atmosphere where you can slow down and really enjoy dinner. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Some highlights from the vegan menu: * Melanzane e Zucchine -- warm zucchini carpaccio with pine nuts, crispy artichokes, and eggplant that was beautifully balanced and packed with texture * Barbabietole, Avocado e Cetrioli -- avocado, sliced red beet, cucumber, and orange vinaigrette with gorgeous presentation and incredibly fresh ingredients * Polpette di Verdure -- vegan meatballs made with eggplant, mushrooms, roasted lentils, breadcrumbs, and onions in tomato sauce. The vegan ricotta cheesecake with fresh berries and house made sorbet was outstanding. The house made ricotta had an incredibly light, creamy texture, the berries and sorbet kept everything bright and balanced, and the crust was honestly one of the best parts of the dish. Cafe Sapori also has a very extensive wine list that really elevates the whole experience if you enjoy pairing wine with dinner. What makes this place especially great is that it works whether you are fully vegan, plant curious, or dining with non vegan friends. You can enjoy a full upscale vegan dining experience while others order from the regular menu, which is what helped make Cafe Sapori such a well known and respected restaurant in the first place. Also worth mentioning: the prices felt very fair for the level of service, presentation, ingredients, and overall experience. The Hosts were fun and food came out pretty fast! Service was okay. I had planned on getting the penne picanti but last minute switch to the gnocchi because it had the restaurants name in it, I figured it would be the best thing to get but wished I got the penne instead. The sausage was microscopic in the gnocchi and I was just craving some spice. The chicken parm was the biggest I've ever seen. I seriously cannot comprehend how they get it that big. I mean I have an idea but... it's so crazy to me the margarita pizza crust was very nice and I think my favorite was the friend zucchini. What did I like? The initial appearance of the building and the atmosphere. The inside is loud, so be mindful if you think you are going to have a nice quiet dinner. I would caution anyone when valet drives your vehicle. They have some parking on site, the rest is across the street. We stood there waiting for our vehicle as we watched how valet drove the cars like they were in the Indy 500, fast take off and hard braking. You do not have a option to self park. We were seated directly right next to a server station. We did place our order for burratta for our appatizer, and chicken parmaginana. Initially we forgot to tell the waiter no arugala for the burratta, as he was right next to us typing in the order to the computer. I politely asked him to not put arrugla on the burratta. Even though he was putting our order in, he threw his hands up. The chicken parmigiana did come out, as I ordered it. But, my issue is it was a very flat piece of chicken. The sauce was good, but it did not come with any pasta at all. I have this all over the world, this is the first place that did not include it, especially at the $33.00. I did order spaghetti to go along with it as that was the fastest pasta they could have out of the kitchen. As you will see on the bill, the pasta was free, but the marinara the pasta was in was $16.00. For chicken and pasta was $49.00, is beyond ludicrous. As we were finishing dinner, I had a medical boot that occupied my foot and half way up my leg that was very visible. As the manager was moving chairs around, he struck my boot and simply said sorry, and moved along. When he did that, my foot was under the table. I do not ever mind paying for a good meal and great service, however they fell short on both. The pricing structure is nothing short of price gouging. Came here to celebrate the anniversary of a special occasion we chose to celebrate here last year. My grandparents and mother are Italian and are friendly with some of the people here, though it was just myself and my husband dining this time. We made a reservation with a notation of the special event and were right on time. Valet was unfriendly and in no hurry to come get the car, despite not being busy and having no self park option. Service was impersonal but effective. Food was 5 stars, except for some small bones in my sea bass, but realistically I feel like it's bound to happen and not anyone's fault. The whole evening we watched the few other occupied tables receive attention from staff, personalized service and simply friendly conversation/ acknowledgment. I even noticed your typical palm beach type man with what looked like his rented date seated in a secluded nook, yet my husband and I were placed next to a man who was on a FaceTime call the entire time, despite our celebration. Also didn't appreciate when I asked if the tiramisu had an alcohol in it, he basically brushed me off and told me it's good and I should get it, while never definitively answering my question or even offering to check with the chef. Was bummed that our special occasion was not acknowledged despite having worked with the manager who was there personally to plan it last summer. Ultimately we left feeling like unless you are one of their regulars, they really don't care about your business. It's frustrating, as two professionals who are well dressed and polite, to receive subpar service in comparison to what we observed to be the obnoxious, rude and heavily surgically altered crowd that I guess they prefer serving. We met friends here last month for dinner. I hadn't shown doing a review here, so I assumed we'd never been. But both the guys recognized the building and the interior layout once we were here. And as we dined, it became a bit more familiar to me. However, it was before I was yelping. so that means we visited more than nine years ago (!) and an updated review would have been necessary in any case. The building was lit and decorated even more so for Christmas. There's valet parking which is convenient. It's an upscale ambiance inside. You feel like you're coming to someplace special. There's a very large menu of selections and a lot of daily specials on a separate insert. The only real negative was that the room became a bit loud in volume as it filled up with diners. We started with an appetizer of prosciutto and melon that we shared. The prosciutto was top quality and very tender. The cantaloupe was sweet. It was a delicious combination of flavors. Our friends shared a caprese appetizer. They liked it. Both appetizers were split in the kitchen and appeared to be large portions. For our dinner entree, they had lasagna Bolognese, gnocchi with sausage, and we both ordered the pompano with a lemon butter sauce. The pompano was "melt in your mouth". It's one of my favorite fishes to order and I was a happy camper as I don't see it on a menu often. For dessert, we ordered their walnut apple strudel and four spoons -- to share. The strudel came with hazelnut gelato ice cream, but we substituted vanilla gelato instead. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but the food, the ambiance, and the service are up to the dining experience. I'd come back here again when looking to be pampered. read more

The food, waiter and servers were fantastic. acoustics very bad, could hardly hear our friends. Parking at the restaurant is only by valet, who was extremely rude. We always travel with our dogs, and any other restaurants with valets, let us park and we give them the keys. He was having none of that. Told us to cross busy Southern Blvd and Parkin a church parking lot. If our friends were not already seated in the restaurant and we had not driven for 40 minutes, we would have left. As an Italian who is picky about her pasta, this was absolutely some of the best pasta I've ever had & worth every penny. Made a reservation for this restaurant one night prior to attending a Kravis Center show. Parking was easy as really the only option is valet. We seated promptly and alerted the waiter as soon as he came over that we had a show at the Kravis center and didn't want to be late. He immediately took our appetizer and entrée order. For an appetizer, we ordered the artichoke chips, which were outstanding! The aïoli that it comes with was definitely made in house and had a wonderful flavor. For our main dish, we ordered the cavatelli with pesto and had grilled shrimp added to it. My husband and I shared it and would highly recommend. The pesto was fresh and bright, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The homemade ricotta cavatelli was some of the best I've had. We got the tiramisu for dessert as well as a cup of coffee. The tiramisu was delicious. Not the best I've ever had but very good. The coffee was extremely strong to the point where I couldn't even finish it. We came in tonight and the service was excellent. The menu is extensive and it was difficult to choose. We started with 1/2 portions of Ceasar salad which was ok, not cold and could have used more dressing but I was too hungry to ask. I ordered the parpadelle wth osso bucco. For how long I have lived minutes from this restaurant, it sure took me a long time to finally eat here. I would definitely call this an upscale place. The drive way is easy to miss so pay attention. The parking lot is tiny, which I am sure they have valet service on busy nights. All the cars in the parking lot match the prices on the menu; Pricey and can't decide which you would prefer. The entryway reminds me of going to Europe and sitting at a café. Or maybe something I just saw in the movies. The inside is pretty large with white table clothes. Since it's during Christmas time, there's a very large tree in the middle of the room on top of a large stand. Our waiter was an older gentlemen who made small talk with us and shared his recommendations on the menu. Which is always appreciative. I can't fully remember everything that was ordered, there was five of us. Fried Calamari- It was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. They did look like round French fries. Came with two sauces. You also have the option to order grilled. Bruschetta- came to the table looking like tomatoes on a bagel. It was good, still nothing out of the ordinary. These two appetizers are my go too. Our waiter recommended this pizza looking thing with prosciutto on it. No sauce. It was pretty good with this different kind of favor bread. My main meal was the tuna tartar. The presentation was on point. I did request truffle oil but not sure he heard me since I didn't taste or smell it. That stuff you should be able to smell across the room. No such luck. Birthday Celebration Dinner in A Saturday night. Ambience is great has a formal but not stuffy feel to dining room. Service was great. All Pasta and desserts were home made. Had the beef carpaccio and tuna tartar along with a delicious ravioli pasta to share for appetizers. All were delicious it the pasta stood out by far, it was amazing and I could have had it for meal. We were with a child and they we're very accommodating to her specific tastes. Deserts were excellent mix of home made Italian cookies and another desert which was good. One valet was visibly unwell. When I asked a senior valet to not allow the visibly sick valet to return my vehicle, he became aggressive, combative, and confrontational. With so many rave reviews I was actually a little disappointed with this place. Tables are pretty close to each other and it's very loud. First bread comes out and it's good, I had the Endivia con Pere e Gorgonzola salad to start (pear salad), it was ok. Had the chicken parmigiana for my main course and that was ok too. The rest of the table also thought the food was ok. My water never got filled half way through the meal. The valet area is a bit of a mess, not the valets fault, people are so inconsiderate! The thing I most love about Sapori is the amount and variety of seating available. It looks small from the outside but is deceptively huge inside. The food is good. Had a lovely New Years' celebration here; the atmosphere was lively but sophisticated. To start, we enjoyed a bottle of Wente Cabernet Sauvignon along with multiple baskets of their delicious bread. We all shared the veal meatballs and buffalo mozzarella -- both solid appetizers choices. For entrees, I had the swordfish from the specials (divine), while my boyfriend and his mom had the gnocchi sapori and risotto. My father's spaghetti and meatballs were "just okay", my grandmother/grandfather/and mother's seafood risotto was not creamy. I ordered the orecchiette con le rape for the second year in a row and they vegan-ized it, which I did not want or ask for, for the second year in a row. Last time I just took it as it was, but this year I said that they messed up and I want the ricotta that my dish was supposed to come with. Then they handed me what you see in the photo. I said what is this? They said, ricotta. I said, is this vegan? Thinking that might explain why it looks like ~that~. And they said no. I asked everyone I know what that block looks like and they all said halloumi. And it was nasty when I tasted it. We celebrated my wife's 77th Birthday with friends this was our FIRST TIME there. Although having passed the building many times, I never realized it was a restaurant, I only found it with a Yelp search. Overal it was an enjoyable evening. Parking attendants were very helpful. Quick seating and the ease with which I was able to bring my wife's wheelchair from auto to the table was appreciated, even though the tables are close together. My food food review is mixed: The appetizer Veal Meatballs were excellent! We wanted more. However, the Calamari was not, as firstly served overly salted, but replaced with no salting at all! And tHe salad's were uninteresting. My wife's Veal Parmigiana, and our friend's Chicken Parmigiana, were both large and excellent. However both my friend's and my Veal Osso Bucco with Risotto were not. The Risotto was well seasoned but lacked the fluidity of a truly Italian preparation, it was more like plain rice. The Veal was an adequate cut, but was under braised, dry and under sauced. In celebration a large piece of Tiramisu was served for the table that we all enjoyed. Our waiter was a Mostel as in Zero. My wife ask for a cocktail list and he tells her we have a bar what do you want. We want to see what specialty cocktail you have. We don't have any he says go to the bar. Ok? We ordered bucatini with fresh truffle sauce. Seal Team 6 couldn't find a hint of truffle in it if they tried for a week. The steak our wives ordered were something you normally see in a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Our Brazino and Salmon were excellent. Then we wanted to order desert so we get desert menus and what is the first thing we see. A page of specialty cocktails!! So when the waiter asked me what I wanted I said I wanted a cocktail that you said you didn't have. Then he tried to tell me they were desert cocktails. An espresso martini is not a desert cocktail. A Sazerac old fashion is not a desert drink. There won't be a repeat performance for us here. read more
