I came here with my husband upon the advice of one of his co-workers. I ordered the chicken Marsala and I can unabashedly say it was the BEST chicken Marsala I ever had!! The chicken was so tender and the Marsala sauce was exceptional! My husband ordered the veal parmigiana. It's his standard by which he judges all Italian restaurants! This particular restaraunt use to be my family-go-to. I ordered a regular burger but wanted to substitute my fries with coleslaw. The waitress said no she cant do that! I go here very often for lunch and it has an amazing menu!!!! No one that has gone there has ever complained about the food or the service. The servers are an extremely friendly bunch!!! Probably the best place to eat in all of West Pittston. The food is delicious, portions massive, and the price is right. Service is great and the waiters and waitresses are very friendly. Their Facebook and website don't seem to be updated but you can call in for the daily specials. read more

This is a no-frills, well organized, breakfast and lunch restaurant. The service was fast and the restaurant clean. We were the youngest people in there by about 30-40 years. You're going to get an affordable American breakfast here, but you'll never remember the name of the waiter or what's on the wall. The corn beef hash was amazing. read more

Stopped here for a late dinner with the kids. There is no kids menu so you will pay full adult fare for them. The food was a mix of diner classics and italian favorites. They are very accommodating and will customize a dish for your kids needs. The pot roast was good. I was a little let down by instant potatoes when everything else seemed homemade. Since we came so late the salads were a bit wilted but that was the only negative thing. The meals were decent portions and the staff was attentive. Awesome Wyoming Valley take on diner food. Pretty much everything here is decent, but for the full Agolino's experience, stop in for breakfast or brunch. My personal favorites are the mascarpone-stuffed french toast and the breakfast frittata. The Hubster and I took my elderly mother out for lunch here. It was easy for her to walk up the ramp and into the restaurant. The booths were roomy enough for her to slide in and out of. The food was wonderful and so was the service. The waitress even brought us extra iced teas without asking. The Hubster upgraded his soup to the chili for just the difference in price. Good food. Nothing fancy but just plain good normal food. I attended a meeting there and we all had a meal. I had the mushroom barley soup which was very good, heart and not salty. Next I had roast beef with Marsala mushrooms. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, lots of mushrooms and came with generous portions of green beans and mashed potatoes. Dessert was an apple turnover with ice cream. The turnover was light, flaky and overly sweet. Also on the table there was fresh Italian bread which also was tasty. Service was very good. Today is my birthday. My wife, Tina, and I decided to go for breakfast. Not knowing where we wanted to go, we drove around. From Scranton, we drove and wound up in west Pittston. We, by chance, looking for another place to eat, ran across Agolino's. We were pleasantly surprised. They were super busy (2 parking lots full), but it was not a long wait. The atmosphere was a kind of classy comfortable family place. The wait staff was happy and pleasant, very attentive and accommodating. Lunch was sub par, at best. What really turned me off to this place is there was a woman and old man (part of the management) who would constantly disrespect the waitstaff in front of customers. I called for a reservation and the woman on the phone laughed at me when I said it would be for 13 people, she quickly said she would not take us and promptly hung the phone up. My family has been coming here for years and we have had wonderful experiences. However the past dew times we have been there we have been greatly disappointed. Our server was very rude and unprofessional. The French onion soup had a very sour taste and the crab stuffed mushrooms were a disappointment. Our server hardly checked on us and didn't come by to refill our drinks. She forget our soups that we had asked for and our extra napkins. However our meals were very good besides our appetizers and soup. I would highly recommend the white clam sauce. read more

A friend and I took another friend, who was just out of the hospital after chemo therapy, out for lunch (this was her first outing after treatment). I went to pay our bill at the register, then wen tback to our table to tell my friends we could leave. On the way out the door, the manager asked the girl at the register in a loud voice: Did those 3 women pay their bill? I was so motified and didn't want to cause my friend any embarrassment, so we continued out the door. This comment by the manager was totally uncalled for and we will not return again. read more

This is one of the BEST privately owned restaurants in the area. The salmon is to die for, changing the glazing sauces frequently. And the Italian dishes are superb! Breakfast is just wonderful, and the service is great with the friendliest waitresses I have ever met. The atmosphere is home town warm and friendly and I give it five stars in my book. read more

A coworker recommended this place to me so and I took my sisters for dinner on a Wednesday about an hour before closing time. The woman who greeted us was working the register and was somewhat cold, I don't know if she was stressed because it was busy and she seemed to be one of the people in charge, but I decided not to take it personally and we sat and waited about 10 minutes for a table. Also, when we were approaching the register to pay after we ate, she left the station and had another girl take over to wait on us. We were quiet customers, good tippers, so maybe it's just me over-analyzing the whole thing...but anyway, the server was sweet, attentive, refilled our drinks without us even asking which was wonderful, brought our food out fresh and hot, and it was delicious, so it is worth the 4 stars. Linguine with clam sauce, Agolino's chicken sandwich, chicken fingers, fries, I can tell you all of those dishes were excellent. I'll go back, not as a regular, but on occasion. read more
