I've been a serious basketball player for most of my life. I suffered the worst ankle injury I've…read moreever had--multiple ligament tears and significant damage. I knew right away it was more than just a sprain, but I continued playing on it for two years. Over time, the pain became unbearable. I started to believe I'd have to live with it permanently, which took a serious toll on me mentally. Finding the right specialist felt uncertain, and I was skeptical anyone could truly fix it. That changed when I met Dr. Randall. I had surgery, and just six weeks post-op, the pain that I lived with for years is gone. For the first time in a long time, it feels like I'm not going to deal with that pain again. I'm extremely grateful. Dr. Randall gave me my quality of life back. G-d bless her--she's an exceptional physician who saved me from a lot of long-term pain and suffering. Thank you.

At the first appointment, the doctor examined my son, prescribed physical therapy, and ordered a custom nighttime brace to keep his feet at a 90-degree angle while sleeping. The problems started immediately. We were initially double-charged for the office visit, and it took more than a month to correct the billing error. We were also told our insurance would cover a significant portion of the brace, but after the order was placed, we were informed that a staff member had made a mistake and failed to account for our deductible, leaving us responsible for the full amount. A few days after my son's feet were scanned, the office called to say they had lost the scans and we had to come back for another appointment. After the second scan, they called again to ask whether the brace was supposed to be for one foot or both. The doctor also prescribed physical therapy. I contacted numerous pediatric physical therapy providers, but none accepted children my son's age. When I asked the office for guidance, I was told the doctor would recommend another provider. That never happened. After waiting another month, we finally received what was supposed to be the custom nighttime brace. It wasn't. It looked like a simple shoe brace with no straps to hold my son's feet in the prescribed position. When I called and went for another visit, the doctor initially tried to convince me that this was actually better than the brace she had prescribed. Only after I insisted did they agree to remake it. Then came weeks of delays and conflicting information. Every time we called, we were given a different explanation. One person said we had already picked it up. Another said it had been sent back for correction. Then we were promised it would be ready the following week. None of those promises were kept. By this point, we had lost confidence and sought a second opinion from another pediatric orthopedic specialist. After examining my son, that specialist told us that, in their medical opinion, he did not need either the prescribed physical therapy or the brace. Finally, after more than FIVE MONTHS, we picked up what was supposed to be the corrected custom brace. The doctor didn't even come into the room to check the fit or examine my son. We were simply handed the device and sent home. When we got home, we discovered something that perfectly summed up our entire experience. Both braces were made for the RIGHT foot. Not one for the left and one for the right. Two right-foot braces. After five months of delays, repeated mistakes, conflicting explanations, and a device that was not usable, we ultimately chose to stop the process. We were told that a partial refund could be issued, and we received back approximately half of the amount we had paid. Even with that refund, the experience left us without a usable brace and with months of our son's treatment time lost. ***Update after the doctor's response*** The doctor's response still does not address my main concerns. My son was not supposed to receive an AFO in the first place. We specifically chose a nighttime brace because he attends preschool and we did not want his walking or play to be affected unless absolutely necessary. If the final solution was simply an off-the-shelf night splint with no right or left side, why were my son's feet scanned and why was I charged $550 for what was presented as a custom orthotic? I also find it disappointing that the response emphasizes how the staff "worked tirelessly." They spent that time correcting their own repeated mistakes. Fixing those mistakes was part of their professional responsibility, not a favor to my family. What is still missing is a simple acknowledgment and apology. P.S. Despite receiving a partial refund, I was still charged over $200 for a device that appears to be a generic night splint available for around $15 at Walmart. I am a physician referral source for over 43 years I have devoted my life to many aspects of healthcare mostly utilization management, physician credential and quality assurance. It is so refreshing to see us bringing back some great quality into our community. We have taken many hits with some of our top physicians either retiring or moving out of California. This being said we are slowly but surly on a steady path with some outstanding doctors stepping in. This is one of those for sure. I highly recommend Dr Geller. Toni Musso

I'm an 80 year-old woman that went to him last year because I had a fungus in my large toe. He prescribed a paint on prescription for my toe which was worthless and I ordered from Amazon, which worked so much better and it took about seven months but it's all gone. That's really not the really reason for this bad review at the time he told me he could trim my toenails and Medicare would pay for it every two months so I did go back another time two months later for another nail trim then in January I got a bill for $73.56 so I called and was advised that Medicare did not cover the nail trim even though I was told even though I told them that the doctor had told me that Medicare did cover it so I went on bill pay on my bank account and set up a $20 a month auto pay my mistake thinking that I would get another statement from the doctor when I finally got another statement it showed that I owed $33.56 so I paid another $20 and then another $13.56 then just recently, I got another statement from the doctor that showed I as of 7/27/26 and I still owed them 20 more dollars which made me go to my bank account to see just how much I had already paid them. I paid them to this date $133.56. Needless to say I made a phone call to the doctor's office and they told me that the records didn't reflect that I had to bring in into the office my records to show them so she made copies of my records and she said she would let me know poor customer service

Those words never came out of my mouth. What a weird way to respond. That is your rebuttal instead of taking accountability for your terribly dismissive service as I come in limping with a boot on into your office? Look at his other reviews on yelp. It's very telling of his attitude and inability to stay professional. Making up stories about your patients? You are far from the depiction of a "medical professional", buddy. Also, my photos show my injury. The MRI was just taken on April 7, and I am still unable to place proper pressure on the foot after all this time. I explained this to this guy and he just wasn't listening. Was going to stop at reviews, but you just earned yourself a BBB report, as being a liar on top of all of this ridiculous behavior is extremely concerning. Congrats. Zero stars. This doctor Syamak Yamani is most unhelpful, raises his voice, cut me off multiple times while speaking, did not even perform any range of motion tests on my ankle whatsoever. Actually, didn't even lay a finger on my ankle, or even looked at it! He read the mri results and just wanted to 100% rely on that, stating there was nothing wrong with it. I clearly injured it quite badly and haven't been able to walk. I've had an mri report misdiagnose me for a left hip labrum tear before. Ended up having to get surgery on it as a different MRI place was able to properly find and diagnose the tear. This guy doesn't care about his patients. Staff were really nice though. They deserve to work for a better doctor. He is a prime example of poor practice. Highly do not recommend. I urge everyone to take the time to look at his 1 star reviews. His dismissive attitude is consistent. The good reviews could very well be fake.

Despite already using custom orthotics and attending weekly physical therapy, the focus was on selling additional orthotics and suggesting mine were "worn out," which is not accurate. When I asked for exercise or rehab guidance, I was told that was a PT question and left with no actual treatment plan or direction. Communication felt one-sided, with limited willingness to hear patient input.
