We had an appointment to have our dog groomed. They frightened him by putting a leash around his…read moreneck and making him walk inside the grooming station instead of just letting me hand him to them. It was quite different from any groomer I've ever been to. Of course, he didn't want to walk away from us and into the unknown, so he resisted. They decided to let him walk towards the exit door. They had to observe his walk to make sure he didn't limp. That satisfied them, so they pulled him in by the leash. Then they asked if he had any medical conditions. I told them he takes medicine for seizures. They said he'd have to come back another day when they had express service. Express service is actually something I'd like but taking him back another day didn't fit our schedule. We are visiting our daughter and leaving soon. Besides, I didn't want him to be put through the process he went through this morning. He's been groomed regularly for years and we've had no problems. I've had several other dogs that were groomed all their lives. We never experienced anything like this. I would like it if other groomers started express services, but these people didn't seem to try to put Baxter at ease.

First time I have been to a self dog wash in Knoxville. The store was clean and the staff was nice…read more But comparing to other dog washes that I have been to in the past, this was a little disheartening. Walking in, the staff did inform me that there were no towels available, as their machine was broke but they had dryers that were available. They don't offer any brushes or scrub brushes to clean your dog with. Their take? "Well if a dog comes in with parvo, we don't want other dogs to get sick." Which I get that, but if a dog does come in with parvo, in the dog washes, it is highly contagious and the dogs coming in could still get it. Parvo is killed with bleach or another strong industrial cleaner and the staff didn't use bleach/strong cleaner (from what we could see) after we were done with the dog wash. Also, other dog washes have stiff rubber dog cleaning tools and steel brushes that are extremely simple to clean. The shampoo & conditioner probiotic is mixed together and extremely watered down. But the smell was decent and the additional spray cologne post wash was nice. For $17...I guess it wasn't too horrible. And the dryers worked fairly well. So, while this place is not my favorite place, in a pinch, it could still work, as long as I remember to bring everything necessary.

I have been shopping at this store for some time, but my latest visit may be my last. I purchased a bag of dog food and one other item, handed the cashier a $10 coupon, paid with my card, and drove home. When I reviewed my receipt at home, I realized the $10 coupon had not been applied. I called the store and spoke with Madeline, who was apologetic and helpful. She asked me to bring the receipt back, request a manager, and explain that I had already spoken with her. When I returned to the store, I asked for the manager and explained what had happened. Madeline also confirmed the situation. I expected a straightforward correction, such as refunding the $10 difference to my card or issuing a $10 store credit, but that was not offered. Instead, I was told the entire order, which was approximately $75, would need to be refunded and then re-rung with the coupon applied. Because the refund could take about three days to appear, I would temporarily have roughly twice the amount tied up for a mistake that was not mine. I am requesting a simpler and more customer-focused resolution, such as reimbursement of the $10 coupon value or an equivalent courtesy credit, along with follow-up from store management. I hope this can be addressed appropriately, because the lack of a clear apology or practical solution has made me reconsider shopping at this location again.

This was one of the most dishonest and disturbing experiences I have ever had with a company. We…read moregave clear instructions that we wanted to apply for only one financing option. Instead, they took our personal information and submitted multiple financing applications without our knowledge or authorization. When a company uses your sensitive personal information in ways you did not approve, it raises serious concerns about how they handle customer data and whether they respect basic consent. We trusted them with private financial information, and that trust was completely violated. Their actions resulted in multiple credit inquiries that we never agreed to. Whether this was negligence, incompetence, or something worse, the outcome is the same: our instructions were ignored, and our personal information was used beyond the scope of what we authorized. I would never do business with this company again, and I strongly caution others before sharing any personal or financial information with them. If a company is willing to disregard explicit instructions during the financing process, what else are they willing to do? I don't know maybe commit Identity fraud?

When I picked him up, I was charged the $75 rate plus tax which was 81 something and when I said why so much he said "well we quoted you it's $75,,,, plus tax ,,,,Tennessee tax is 9.25% and that makes it $81." Thank you, sir. I had no idea. He was catty, which is totally not necessary from the owner (he said) and the person taking your money. While I was waiting for my dog, I walked around and looked at some of the merchandise, and everything was dusty ~ on the shelves, the jars of merchandise, everything. It was pretty dirty in there. The machine where you run your card had dust all over it. I understand it's a dog place, but you can dust off your credit card machine and especially the merchandise if you want customers to buy it. All in all, the haircut was OK. And his nails had been clipped and maybe buffed because they were not sharp and ragged like another place we visited. Did not leave feeling good about this place. Note: I have no problem with the tax or the Revenue service! Re-read the review ~ or don't. But don't make it out like I am complaining about the tax. My issue is the price ~ BEFORE tax ~ and the attitude of the employee and the lack of cleanliness. To reiterate ~ even though I was quoted $65 to $75 for my dog, I should have known they usually don't charge the lower amount. Done.

I hired Aquatic Marine to install and setup a tank in my home and was promised "magazine quality"…read more Nearly a year later, we weren't close. I became frustrated with the tank when there was no end in sight, the work was chaotic, scheduling was near impossible, and I discovered that even after paying for routine maintenance none of my equipment had been properly maintained. I decided it would be easier to just start over with a smaller tank, so I gifted my larger tank to the owner, Kinny Parrott, and purchased a much smaller tank that I thought would be easier for them to actually finish and gave them a chance to live up to what they had promised. He and his service manager agreed with no hesitation to store my equipment and livestock until the new tank was cycled and ready to be setup. Instead, they misplaced half my livestock and his service manager came by one evening without any notice and dropped the rest of my fish into the tank before it was cycled and my gem tang and yellow tang both ended up dying. I sought out help from the store to try and save the rest of my fish, and an hour later, received a call from Kinny stating he was firing me because I was bad-mouthing him to his employees which was not the case. He lacks professional courtesy and the skills to deal with any sort of conflict and is one-sided in his beliefs. His communication style is quite aggressive and dismissive, which makes it hard to have an open and honest conversation with him. He proceeded to yell at me and told me that they would not be doing my install anymore and he was not going to return any of my equipment. He threatened us with attorneys and blamed me for being "too hands on with my tank" and said I had unrealistic expectations. He yelled at me on 2 different occasions using me as a scapegoat for both his personal and business issues and never offered an apology for unleashing on me. For months, he had told me that his service manager was overloaded, overworked, and on the verge of burnout and promised changes that never came. When our relationship ended, I was left feeling like their internal problems were passed onto me and I was fired as a result. When I got upset over being fired for no reason and him holding my equipment hostage, I got mad and Kinny proceeded to tell my wife that I must be bipolar. He finally agreed to return a fraction of my equipment after a battle, and several parts were still missing. He still has thousands of dollars worth of my equipment in his possession not including the tank. After gifting him a new tank, purchasing another tank without asking for any sort of discount, and spending thousands of dollars at his store, I was left feeling incredibly taken advantage of. I could go on and on about the customer service, problems that occurred during our time together, and retracted promises, but am hopeful that this brief glimpse into my experience will help prevent someone else from being lied to and taken advantage of. I had been warned about getting involved with Aquatic Marine, and looking back, I wish I had heeded the advice.
