This is a brunch party spot. Restaurant is on a small strip overlooking the marina. Boats are docked and I saw people partying on them, others cruising and some jet skis. Great view on a sunny day. In the middle of the restaurant is an outdoor parking area. It doesn't look like many people use it/are allowed to. I personally loved the music- reggae, dancehall, soca, hip-hop & afrobeats but the volume is high so it's not a place for talking. Unfortunately, people don't dance here either, but they do smoke hookah. I don't, but it didnt bother me because we were outside. I did enjoy my steak and potatoes meal. ~$32 and a small portion, no veggies, my friend got her steak with rice and she said the rice was cold. Yikes. This was the most expensive thing on the small menu. We bought a bottle of vodka which came with a bottle girl and sparklers which was fun for the bday vibes. Also, cranberry, pineapple & lemonade mixers. Friends said they liked the burgers and fries. All in all, it seems like a good place to come if you're into the hookah/club scene. If not, stay very far away. Also, celebrity rapper Ghostface Killah was there With a big entourage. Have no idea if this is normal, but no one ran up to him. read more

First off the place has no parking for customers, and the entire place is no bigger a fast food restaurant. Speaking of this so called restaurant, when I placed an order for food they said THE CHEF IS NOT HERE YET NOR DID HE EVER ARRIVE ALONG WITH MY FOOD. I wish I could give this place zero stars. From the time of arrival, things seemed very disorganized, but we wanted to give it a try since my mom wanted to take my husband and I put to celebrate our first anniversary with a nice dinner on the water. First off, the place charges $20 for parking in their lot (it's literally na two min walk or so to a metered parking lot where we paid about $2 for 3 hours or so). Now when you approach, they have whole bouncers and door people standing there like it's some exclusive club. They charge a cover fee to enter. To enter to eat and have a drink? Are they kidding? I mean, I'd get it if there was some sort of drag show or live dinner entertainment or something. But this was just silliness. I can't believe they get away with doing that. Once seated, we were completely ignored. The tables and chairs were cheap plastic and kind of dirty. There was garbage all over their deck floor. Granted, they did have a small baby party going on in the midst of this (strange place to have something kid themed with hookah and drinks but to each their own). The only time we were paid attention to were by two separate people who kept coming over to ask if we wanted to buy hookah. Once we said no, good luck. No server nothing. Finally someone comes over and she has a whole electronic system with which take orders. This is an important detail for what's to come. We ordered our drinks and meal altogether because god knows when else we'd get a chance to see anyone come back to the table. Drinks came out and now we play the waiting game. The waiting game that never ended. About an hour later, a server comes over with out with two plates. Yes, they were things we ordered (after waiting an hour I'm surprised we even remembered what we ordered) but then we asked... what happened to the rest of the order. Looking baffled, he asked, what rest of the order? We said we're three people, see? We ordered appetizers and meals for each of us. He confusedly replied that appetizers are usually brought out first and I was sitting there with my drink and plastic set of utensils like ... okay... where? He said there was nothing else put in with our order. Now, I'm curious, how could that be when the waitress came over, I watched her key in everything as we ordered, and she'd repeated the order back to us... TWICE! An hour later and we didn't have our meal. We drove over an hour out to nautical mile for this experience. Needless to say, we got the hell out of there and went to Caribbean Island - just a few minutes, if even that, down the mile where we not only had great food, but live music, great ambiance, and an overall amazing time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS PLACE. I am warning you. Their owner does not care about service at all. When we were leaving and we're asked what was wrong, he just nonchalantly said, "well we have a party going on so things are slow". First of all, if you can't handle a party of about 15 people... are you really a restaurant who should be having dinner service at all? Secondly, no one even complained about the wait - the issue was - HALF OUR FOOD ORDER WAS NOT PUT IN... should we have waited until closing time to eat? Come on. Pick literally ANY place other than this. Caribbean Island and Tropix are two of my tried and true. I wish I could post photos, but again - not like we had anything to eat. We had a great time at Agua. The hookah was amazing! The quesadillas were also good. Drinks were not watered down. Nice vibe with outdoor seating. Staff was so friendly and helpful! Definitely a must try if you're looking for a hangout vibe and just to chill. read more

I arrived at Agua on the mile 07/09/2022 .do not waste your money time or energy. for starters they were charging the patrons just to get on the premises, last time I checked there wasn't an entry fee to get in a outdoor bar /restaurant, however the team of bouncers at the entry gate were charging from 20 dollars per person to 60 dollars per person. when someone inquired about the charge the bouncer responded you are lucky I am only asking for 60 I am about to raise the entry fee to 80 per person. After entering this establishment more disappointment. the bar tender was extremely rude and disgraceful for no reason. I cant understand is this place in business to make money or just to abuse the clientele. the staff overall is very unprofessional ,please if you would like to have a good time on the mile in freeport new York ,pass this place .do not enter, the disappointment and abuse isn't worth your money and time . I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. I frequently visit the nautical mile and I have never been asked by a waitress to hold my ID and credit card until I finished my meal. This was shocking for me, Do they think ppl come to eat and run, pure disrespect. The reason she gave me was that this is something they just do. Never again will they see me, customer service and satisfaction is out the window in this place. read more
