There is a difference between China Town Chinese and your neighborhood Chinese. This is your neighborhood Chinese, and of the many that are around here, this one is the best! The food is never too greasy, and the lady at the counter is always so friendly when I come in. I've only ever gotten one other person before, and I don't think it's that he wasn't friendly, I just think he didn't speak any English. It's conveniently located. Parking is limited as there's no parking lot but I never have trouble getting a spot right in front. I'm always in and out. They say "15 minutes" and I get there in 15 and my food is always ready. Its the only Chinese food that I eat the pineapple rice the drums chicken wings are the best. Everything is very good and they always answer the phone with a good attitude and it's very fast and they give you a free soda. You would think bacon and shrimp would be an interesting combo to try? NOPE....don't do it here! It was like a mass of a couple of butterflied shrimp with some egg (I guess to hold the bacon in place). Just NO! The chicken wings were small and hard to chew and even harder to digest. Best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Coming from the city to Long island, I was skeptical but they do a good job on the food.

Was looking forward to my first good Chinese food after Lent. Good food here, usually. Horrible people on the phone. Lady was yelling from the start! I called to order a lunch combo and I asked if with my order (ordered more than just the combo) whether I also got an egg roll. She yelled "can of soda" obnoxiously a couple of times and hung up! WTF?!?! Especially these days when places NEED business, that was the totally uncalled for! I usually give a tip, even when I pick up vs. get delivery but after today's fiasco, I purposefully didn't and she saw that I didn't as she hovers over you when you sign. Needed a new Chinese spot. So on the way home from work I stop here and picked up food. The service was good and so was the food.

The place doesn't look clean and the cashier there is the worst person to deal with. She is so rude and doesn't even know how to talk to the customers nicely. She has to learn that we are not getting the food for free there, we pay for it. So at least be nice to the customers. I don't even recommend this place for anyone. If you are ordering online to deliver it, they will increase the price by few dollars from what is listed in the site too. read more

It's "Chinese food" let's remember that before we critique. So I've ordered from here a fair share of times. Taste is pretty good. The quality of the ingredients are pretty good. You can tell the ingredients have some depth of freshness from just seeing them. Never got sick from the food. Delivery to Franklin street is quick. The delivery guy is always nice. Today, my 6th day losing the never-ending battle with the flu, I decided I needed a little hot and sour soup as an alternative to OTC nasal decongestants. The soup was good, I'd certainly get it again...it was the other stuff I ordered that I feel warrants a disclaimer. The vegetable lo mein was mediocre - the noodles were a bit too mushy and the dish was much too salty. I was hoping the chef was just having an off day until I tried the shrimp with garlic sauce. It was a bit too sweet and saucy, and the pork fried rice that accompanied it was overcooked. The crab ragoons on the other hand were good - super crunchy and nice flavor. I know what you're thinking - that's a lot of food for someone with flu...I certainly didn't eat it all, though I sheepishly admit, I ordered it all for myself. I'm thinking that my dulled sense of taste right now along with a chef who woke up on the wrong side of the bed is to blame for much of my "meh" experience. This place has terrible service! I ordered a chicken chow mein, and they sent me the incorrect food. I called up and said I got the wrong food, and they said they would send the right food (chicken chow mein). After 1 hour, still no food. I call back, and they said what I got is right, basically yelling me, even though it isn't. Bad customer service, bad food. I love this place is local and very good even on last minute orders with the fresh food

I have ordered here numerous times with no problem, except when I had a problem with one of the gentlemen while ordering on the phone because he would get it wrong often. However, that's not what I have the REAL problem with... Yesterday, my family and I ordered from here, I ate the food around 9pm, by 12am, I had the worst pain I've encountered in my entire life. Didn't know if it was an allergic reaction or food poisoning. Without getting too graphic, my body got rid of it whichever way possible. I felt fine once it was all out of my system. Tonight, my dad reheated his leftovers, and he threw up after. The verdict is in, we were both food poisoned... we cannot return. Beware. All we had was general tsos with vegetable fried rice and egg rolls. read more

I absolutely love their food!!! My husband and I order from here every month or so. They make an amazing wonton soup. Love their sweet and sour chicken. And their scallion pancakes are delicious!!! It's always the same delivery guy, Mike. He always calls us his friends and by now knows my dog won't eat him and just wants to see him, lol. They are usually great about timing. The one time they forgot about us, Mike came flying in no time and they gave us some extras on the house as an apology. They're always kind! And super yum!! read more

I ordered for the second time last night and let me tell you.. They're delicious! I feel sesame chicken at other places is a bit oily or too saucy or both. It's perfect! The egg rolls are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Delivery time is normal, approx 25 minutes. They're super polite too! Def recommend read more

Terrible. The shrimp in my Lomein was fishy, dumplings were greasy, pork tasted rancid. All the other food was sub par except the cheese wontons. And they messed up my order. never ever again. It wasn't always this way. read more

I have tried 3 other chinese food places in the area looking for anything remotely close to good chinese this place is it!!! The general tso was crunchy and well fried the sauce was on point the egg roll was crunchy perfection and my veg fried rice was fresh and flavorFul. I ordered from Ahlaw today as I'm not feeling well and didn't have the energy to cook for myself and the kids. I was looking for the chicken with the thin noodles which I asked if that was chow mein. The guy on the phone said I would get the noodles on the side. So I said that's not what I'm looking for and said I wanted the chicken with the thin crispier noodles mixed in with the chicken and vegetables. I've had it before just wanted to make sure I had the correct name ( I also looked up photos of the dish and it looked like what I was looking for) He said this is it but the noodles would be on the side. I said ok, as long as the end result is the same I can mix it in myself. I received my order and it's definitely not what I wanted. It's chicken in a thick clear sauce with with cabbage and a small bag of the those crunchy noodles you get with the soup on the side. Absolutely not something the kids or I like. I'm very disappointed as I mentioned I'm not feeling well and am not up for cooking. I called them back and said I think I got the wrong order, the guy said this is what I ordered. Then he says maybe I wanted chow Mei fun. Whatever, I explained what it was, couldn't he have said that earlier. So I asked if I could exchange it as this is our dinner, he said its really busy maybe we can exchange it during lunch time another day. What?! I don't know about anyone else but if I'm ordering dinner out I definitely don't have another dinner prepared on the side. Finally he says fine I'll exchange it but at that point I was so frustrated I said forget it. We were starving and who knows when it would come. First order took almost an hour. I also ordered the vegetable fried rice which was bland and spring rolls which were so soggy I just took out the filling and mixed it in with the bland rice. That was dinner for us tonight.
