Nine years later, we are still going strong with China Garden of Hempstead because of their commitment to providing delicious food. It is one of few places that I will purchase chicken wings from because of the freshness of the meat and they don't have feathers on them. Their prices have gone up significantly but so have other countless restaurants so they are stuck with my son and I. Their consistency is what keeps me coming. We never have to ask for anything beyond placing our order because our server always anticipates what we need, and every member of the staff has been friendly and polite. As for the food, this is easily the best American-Chinese restaurant I've had on Long Island. Our favorites are the General Tso's chicken, which is perfectly crispy and coated in just the right amount of sauce, the crab rangoons, which are generously filled with crab and cream cheese, and the house fried rice, loaded with a great mix of proteins and plenty of egg. If you haven't been here yet, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try. I'd put much more weight on your own experience than on a handful of reviews that seem wildly out of step with what we've experienced.
