We went here right after blueberry picking from Sabbatical,it is nice quaint place and before the picking of strawberries the lady owner share the rules,it's $4/lb and 2 lbs per person, you can bring your own container or buy a small box from them for .50 cents. There's so much potential on this place to make it more welcoming ,starting with the meet and greet of the owners.

We went as a big group with kids around noon last month. It was not at all crowded. The strawberries very sweet and juicy. The kids loved this activity

Ah Mary's U-Pick is hands down one of my favorite places we've visited for Upick. My family and I went on a weekend morning -- it was a bit busy, but the farm is so spacious that it never felt crowded. As soon as we walked in, we could smell the strawberries in the air -- super fragrant and inviting. The berries were huge, bright red, and so juicy that some literally dripped when we picked them. They were incredibly sweet, honestly better than any organic strawberries I've bought at the store. The kids had a blast running through the fields, picking and eating as they went. My little one even said the strawberries "tasted like magic." The prices are very reasonable -- $4 per pound and $0.50 for a picking box. We ended up picking around five pounds, and it was super convenient that they accept both cash and Zelle. For the freshness and the experience, I think it's totally worth it, especially knowing we picked them ourselves. The staff were really friendly too -- someone came over to show us which rows had the ripest berries, which made it even more fun. The whole farm is well-kept and clean, with shaded areas where you can sit and rest, which is a huge plus, especially with kids. It wasn't muddy or messy at all, unlike some other U-pick farms we've been to. This visit really changed how I think about Brentwood strawberries -- fresh-picked just hits different. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing outdoor activity with your family or friends, I highly recommend Ah Mary's. We're already planning to come back again with more people!

Great location with variety of different Strawberries. Plenty of parking, they accept zelle or cash.

    Picking my strawberries

The strawberries are absolutely ripe and sweet! Unfortunately the owners of the farm are not very hospitable. Sad to say because I love the strawberries so much but the farm has too many strict rules that leaves a sour taste in the mouths of visitors like myself. The lady who greets you gives you all the rules and regulations but at the same time she has this rude tone to her delivery. I just read other reviews and the same has been said before by other visitors. I don't know if it's the culture of the owners or if it is just the upbringing of them which is the root cause for them coming off as a**holes. Will I be back? Small small possibility because there are so many places to choose and why come back to some place I didn't feel welcomed. Price was $4/lb and there is a 2 lb minimum per each adult that enters. The box is $0.50 or bring your own container.

Give them a call to ask if they are open!

The donated strawberry to LHS Jr Prom. They were the best strawberries! I had to come and buy some for us because everyone rave about them.

We got there and had to go over a few things but it's a farm what can go wrong. Pricing was pretty decent as well.

For 10 years straight, Nunn Better Cherry Orchard in Brentwood has never let us down!…read more Every season we make the trip out, and every single year the cherries are absolutely incredible -- sweet, fresh, and impossible to stop eating before we even get home. Well being truthful even some as we picked....The orchard is beautiful, the staff is always friendly, and the experience has become one of our favorite family traditions. In a world where so many places change over time, it's honestly amazing to have a spot that stays consistently wonderful year after year. Thank you for a decade of memories, sticky fingers, full buckets, and happy hearts. Already counting down until next cherry season! Now to pit them and make a fresh cherry pie..... $4.50/pound

Later on, we found out that section was already out of season. As we walked farther, we finally saw much better cherries, but most of the good ones were way too high to reach and there were no ladders available. There were some lower branches, but the cherries there were not great in quality, so we ended up picking only around 3 lbs. We then decided to switch to the peach and nectarine area hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately there was barely anything good to pick. Most of the fruits were either overripe, damaged, or already picked over. Overall, it felt like the farm should have better guidance on which sections are still worth visiting before customers pay and spend time walking around in the heat. The staff was fine, but the overall fruit quality and picking experience were disappointing for us this visit.

Parking is easy, and the staff are wonderful and helpful with recommendations. It's rare to find a truly organic farm in this area, and the quality and freshness of their fruit and produce really stand out. The general store up front is amazing...they have specialty breads, nuts, and unique jams made from their own fruit that are to die for. Definitely keep an eye out for unique finds like their frozen mulberries and white peach or nectarine jams. We loved the specialty products so much that we actually went back two days later to stock up on gifts. We came for U-pick peaches and nectarines. The tree-ripened fruit was incredibly sweet and juicy with a floral aroma. We went with kids and grandparents, and everyone had an amazing time. The apricots looked amazing too...can't wait to come back once they're ripe!

(3.5 stars, rounded up to 4)…read more The Urban Edge Farm is well-known for their peach and apricots during the summer time. But who said U-Pick season has to end after the summer? During the fall, they offer other U-Pick fruits, such as pomegranates, persimmons, and kumquats. Last weekend, we decided to try out their persimmon U-Pick. I initially found out about when their persimmon U-Pick would be available through an Instagram comment (there weren't any lnstagram posts or events on their website directly advertising this year's persimmon season), but I also double-checked by calling them the morning of before making the trek to Brentwood. The front of the farm area is a little store front, where you can buy fresh produce that's been harvested directly from the farm. This is also where you weigh your fruits after picking them. After completing the liability form via QR code, they drive you and your guests on a jeep to the fruit trees (and back). During the short drive to the persimmon trees, we also spotted baby cherry trees, a couple of pomegranate trees, and what appeared to be a grapefruit tree. As for the persimmons, there were about 5 Fuyu trees and 2 Hachiya trees. There were plenty of Fuyus available for us to pick. On the other hand, the Hachiya trees were quite bare so we only ended up finding and picking one that was ripe enough. At $4/lb for both varieties of persimmons, we ended up paying around ~$17 for 12 persimmons. The persimmons that were ripe enough to eat were nice and sweet. Getting the U-Pick experience without the summer heat and with reasonable prices was great. The only downside to this experience was the abundance of ants on the trees. The ants got on my hands, clothes, and even my face and the top of my head. The ants didn't appear to affect the quality of the fruit, since they were mainly on the branches and the tops of the persimmon leaves. I wasn't afraid of getting ants on me, but it was starting to get bothersome having to swat the ants away from my body and the persimmons I picked. I thought I had gotten rid of all the ants before leaving and getting into my car, but throughout the ride home, I spotted some straggler ants on my lap and arms, and even on the windshield! So take that into consideration if you're not particularly fond of ants.
