Would totally recommend if you like sweet and spicy. I got the (Black Bean Noodles with Special Sauce?) and I really liked how clean () the taste was. I get really groggy after eating a lot of Korean Chinese food since it's usually heavy and greasy, but I felt pretty good after. Portions sizes were great and prices are great as well. This is a jewel of a neighborhood restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. All homemade. We love the sweet and sour pork and samseon jajangmyeon (seafood black noodles) which is always delicious with specks of crunchy beef. Also tried other dishes which are delicious too. A great local place to bring your family (kids love the pork/noodles). Also the women who run the restaurant and the kindest and sweetest people. Finally got to try this new Korean-Chinese restaurant in Tenafly. Highly recommend it! We used to drive to Ewha Won in Closter to get our Korean-Chinese fix...but no more! Food is yummy, portions are big and the service is so friendly. It's not a big place...we counted ten (2-person and 4-person) tables...so a nice, cozy atmosphere too. Try it out! read more

Solid lunch specials which works for the area. This place specializes in Korean/Chinese dishes. black bean noodles [ja jang myun] and noodles in spicy seafood broth [jhamp bong]. The noodles could have been a little more al dente and soup was a little bland, but good for when you don't want to trek to Palisades Park. The servers are very friendly and try their best because it can get busy during lunch time. I also had the mixed seafood rice similar to a Chinese shrimp with lobster sauce. It was good, but got cold rather quickly so have to eat very fast if you don't like room temperature food. Will go back to taste the dumplings and other specialties. Easily one of the worst dining experiences in recent memory. The staff was inattentive, rude and dismissive, which could be saved by the food but that was not the case. Unfortunately pales in comparison to places in the city, but luckily between Fort Lee, Palisades Park, and even Closter there are much better alternatives. read more

Just ate there for dinner- terrible service- the servers were so overwhelmed by the take out orders- they were completely ignoring the customers that were eating at the restaurant. This establishment maintains the Tenafly tradition of so so Chinese food. The dumplings were good. The mild noodle soup, tasteless. The spicy mussel soup itself was ok, the mussels looked like they suffered greatly on their way to the soup. Kung Pao chicken was dry and American. Prawns were large, nicely presented but the sauce was too sweet and managed to strip the shrimps of their breading. Taste was lacking and disturbed my wifes stomach. This could be Covid related, but if product is a little long in the tooth... On the positive side portions were large. read more

If you are looking for solid korean / chinese food, this is THE place to go to. I ordered the spicy garlic prawns () and the spicy black bean noodles () and was with impressed the quality of ingredients they used. These shrimps were meaty and fried to perfection, placed on a bed of sweet and spicy sauce. I prefer when places do this as opposed to drowning the shrimp in sauce because the shrimps won't get soggy and will maintain their crispy texture. The spicy black bean noodles were just how I like them - not so spicy that you can't taste the other flavors, but spicy enough to complement the noodles very well. My family has lived in the NY/NJ area forever and we've gone through several phases of favorite Korean-Chinese restaurants and this one is our current favorite by miles! The restaurant has a bright and clean interior, more understated than big and flashy (not banquet style) but the food is a standout! We started with the tanguyuk (sweet and sour pork) and lajogi/rajogi (spicy pork). Both have the most beautiful crunchy exterior with a savory and tender interior, covered in glossy sauces. At a lot of places you either get crunchy with okay sauce, or less crunchy and a very good sauce, but here the dishes check all the boxes. I had the ganjjajangmyun after and it was the best jjajangmyun I've had in a long time. The noodles are bouncy with a satisfying chewiness, and the sauce is chock full of onions (which is how I prefer it). Most remarkably, their jjajangmyun doesn't leave you feeling like you ingested an entire bottle of oil. It has a cleaner finish and feels less heavy/greasy than at other places. My parents had the jjampong which had an incredibly refreshing broth with the same delicious noodles. The employees are friendly and efficient, and were happy to answer our questions. Since discovering this place a few month ago, I've ordered take outs from here many times. Everything I've had is good. Jjajangmyun (regular and spicy), jjambbong (regular and oyster), tangsooyuk, nanja wans, fried dumplings, and yangjangpi. But my favorite was jjambbong. My only complaint is that I wish their oyster jjambbong is spicy like the regular one. I'll ask them if they can do that the next time I order from here. read more

Fairly new Korean Chinese restaurant, way better than Ewha won in Closter in my opinion. I have been ordering from here since opening. Their jjajangmyun (black noodles) are really good, as well as their jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup). The two are staples whenever you go to a Korean Chinese restaurant. I am so glad that I don't need to make a trip down to Fort Lee or Palisades Park to get good food. Having said the pros, the food has been on and off lately. As I mentioned, I have been ordering since they opened and I can immediately notice when food tastes different. The jjajangmyun was sweeter and had finely chopped ingredients but lately, the ingredients were chunky and the pork was pretty hard. I ordered their tangsooyuk on two occasions and both times, the meat was tough and hard. I don't know if they changed their chef but their food was definitely better few weeks ago.
