Ordered myself some takeout from ahipoki for the first time the other day, it was actually pretty good! I ordered the regular plate which comes with two proteins and your choice of add-ons and a miso soup on the side. The food was delicious, and well portioned. The store had the food ready by the time I got there so i was in and out of there pretty fast. My only complain, if any, was that having the hot miso soup sitting on top of my poki in the bag did change the temperature of my poke a bit, no biggie - I just put it in the fridge while I ate my soup. This is such a great spot to grab a poke bowl! I've been here a couple of times now, and it's always a smooth experience--easy to order, super clean, and plenty of seating. They offer a nice variety of fish and even have musubi, which is a fun bonus. Everything I've tried has been tasty and filling. I've also noticed a lot of people picking up to-go orders, which says a lot about how popular it is. I threw up everything at 3 am. I've been coming here quite frequently, and usually this place gets the job done. But not yesterday. I got the usual, 3 scoop combo. Mind you, the first scoop of protein was so small we asked for a bit more and the charge was a whopping 2.50??? I almost said no, but my boyfriend said "go ahead" I verbally gasped. I got the blazing salmon, which we haven't gotten in a while. I thought I'd give it a try, big mistake. When we got home, as I'm eating I could feel something was not okay. But I was so hungry I didn't care. After a couple hours of not being able to finish the whole bowl, I felt something sink into my stomach. I kept burping what seemed like hot sauce mixed with salmon SO HORRIBLE. What really did it for me was my boyfriend already deals with stomach issues, so this was messing him up even more. My body physically woke me up to throw up at 3 am??? That fish was not fresh and definitely on the verge of rotting. I am so disgusted, I could feel the acidity in my own vile. Definitely, never coming back here again. Opting for the poke at Montclair mall from now on. read more

My co-worker and I went in today, and I was having a terrible day and the manager noticed I was crying talking to my co-worker while waiting to check out. Discovered this place about a month ago and I have not stopped coming back. The food is so fresh and delicious. So many options however I have a go to each time I come.The staff are friendly and courteous. I wanted to add some additional information to my original review. The portion sizes for the sides are very small. I have never seen such small spoons and when you ask for a little more they either say it is extra or give you such a small amount again. Please realize that the customer has come to the company and you should appreciate the visit. Please don't let the customer feel so uncomfortable when asking for a little more, just give it to them, I am sure it will not bankrupt the company and you will have a repeat customer. read more

This place doesn't answer their phones. I go in there's 3 people in front of me so they are understandably busy. I ask for 6 TOTAL musubis had to repeat myself 3 times to the lady taking my order. I am at this place for over an hour waiting between in line and then waiting for the food to be done. The guy calls me over and they made 12 and try to make me feel bad like I did something wrong. They fucked up and didn't wanna admit their mistake and making me feel like it was my fault. Tried making their problem mine when I was clear as day when I said 6 total. Parking: plenty. Shared lot Ambiance: clean. Neat. Restroom could use a little TLC. Door needs a little extra push to get in. Food: choose your own like any other poke place. What stands out at this location is the extra flavored items they have that other places don't. For example, they also have a Blazing salmon (salmon with spicy mayo sauce) and Tuna Luau (tuna with avocado). Honestly, why not get a Tuna Luau so you get both tuna and avocado and not have to pay the exorbitant price for just an avocado? Anyway, I enjoyed my meal, fish tasted great. read more

A bit pricey BUT very good. The scoops are small but I wouldn't say much smaller than other poke places. We have gone 2xs now and both times were good. A decent variety of choices. I have ordered pickup twice from here, and I really like this place. One time the sauce was on the side for me which I prefer, as it is to go ... and places usually over sauce... this time, today, it was mixed in, which because they didn't over do it with the sauce was totally fine, I swear other and most places add way too much sauce. Since I got the pick up order from Uber Eats... there is NO PLACE to write in sauce on the side...which is annoying I think that is Uber Eats fault unsure who needs to fix that. Anyways they have fresh fish. I love their salmon and crab salad mix a lot. They have nice warm white rice. I plan on being a repete customer often, I highly recommend their poke! The poki is great the staff is friendly both times I've gone however I've ordered twice for pur company lunch for 6 ppl and both times the food isn't ready on time for pick up I've had to wait both times 20 min to get the order, very inconvenient especially for lunch they should have more ppl working knowing they aren't providing such great service! Salmon wasn't fishy and the crabmeat wasn't overly mayo-ey. The avocado scoop has seen better days. I liked that they didn't drench the salmon with the sauce, I've had some other poke places where they are heavy handed with the sauces. The two guys that helped put together my plate were patient and helpful. They were thoughtful to ask about putting the wasabi on the lid vs. on the side and letting me know avocado costs extra. Little things like that.

I highly recommend Ahipoki Bowl! The food is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the customer service is a solid 10/10. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and great at offering recommendations, especially if it's your first time visiting. They take the time to explain the menu and help you find something you'll enjoy. If you're new, definitely try both the poke bowls and the grilled items. The Musubis are amazing, with several options including the Classic Spam Musubi, Spicy Salmon Musubi, and Unagi Musubi. Everything is flavorful and made fresh. So I finished a late workout and didn't realize the time. A buddy and I rushed over to Ahi Poke hoping we could make it before closing time. The employees (Jenna, Genevieve and Vanessa) graciously unlocked the door and not only let me and my buddy in, but also welcomed a family of four along with another person who showed up 5 minuets later. They were very sweet and didn't mind helping all of us with a smile on their faces. So thank you Jenna, Genevieve and Vanessa for going above and beyond to feed a Fatty MCFatpants in his darkest, hangriest hour. The food was great as usual but the service somehow made the meal that much more delicious. Most satisfying meal I have had in quite some time. A little kindness goes along way. There are two changes that I think could bring TK up to 5 star range. One would be more consistent service. And second, it would be so amazing if they would have 1 night a week (maybe a Sunday or Monday) reserved for relaxing music; really anything from Standards, Jazz, Japanese, Classic Rock, Trip Hop....anything mellow. We would go on that night every time! (And I've heard other people express the same wish.)
