Small poke bowl with brown rice, salmon, tuna, TPP sauce, cucumber, edamame, crab meat, fried onion & seaweed flakes. So yummy!
    Katrina N.

My boyfriend was craving poke and was gonna order elsewhere. I told him the only place I'll eat poke from is The Poke Place. We ordered via third party app. The ordering process is the same. Choose your base, protein, sauce, and toppings. However I did not see any dry toppings options for furitake, crispy onions, tempura flakes, all the good stuff you add at the end. So our poke ended up looking kinda bland. I wish that could be an option addded there.

wow this is some of the best poke i've had in the ie in a while! great portions for an amazing price. they also don't skimp on the portions which makes these bowls so worth it. the fish tasted so fresh and i loved the different fish and sauce options they have. i love the variety in options from the base to the fish to the sauce to the toppings. the service was quick and speedy and the workers were so kind to talk to. it's nice how much seating there is and it's a great place to eat with friends or get food to go. this place will definitely be seeing me again!

I recently went to a poke spot in Rancho and it's honestly worth the price. They really pack the bowls to the brim with toppings. Even when I ordered a small, it was still a lot of food and super filling. The fish tasted really fresh, and all the toppings were so good. They're also pretty generous with how much they give you, so every bite had a good mix of everything instead of just rice. The people working there were very nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The ambiance is also really peaceful and relaxed, so it's a nice place to sit and enjoy your food without feeling rushed. It's honestly the kind of place that feels perfect on a nice hot sunny day, because eating a fresh bowl of poke just hits different when the weather is warm. What I liked most was how customizable everything was. Being able to pick different toppings and sauces makes it easy to build exactly what you're craving, and since they're so generous with the portions it definitely feels like you're getting your money's worth. If you're in Rancho and craving poke, this is definitely a solid spot to check out.

The best place to get a bang for your buck. The service online and in person is always great. The line can get long but it always goes at a good pace, I never feel like I'm waiting too long. The workers really know how to get things done efficiently. And ive never had an online order feel like it wasn't as good as if I had just went in person. GREAT PORTIONS, GREAT QUALITY, AND GREAT OPTIONS!!! I've never been disappointed going to poke place, the taste/quality is always consistent, and everyone I know LOVES this place. Genuinely no other poke place in the IE compares. I recently picked this up before going to the beach and every bite I was just like "ugh I love poke place"

Three years in straight Yelp award PEOPLE LOVE US. The website to order take out has all the items listed and easy to navigate. Dine-in area is very clean, simple and spacious. There are outdoor seating as well. Ordered in person and note there is a long line which we don't mind... It must be good! Love the portion and selections of toppings. Fish and ingredients are very fresh and cold! I recommend small bowl bc they really pack it up.

Bomb poke spot! The fish tastes fresh and the portions are huge. They have a good variety of toppings and don't charge extra for avocado like other places do. The small size was surprisingly stacked so definitely worth the price. Definitely recommend if you want poke around the Rancho area!

This place has the BEST poke bowls in California and I wish it was closer to where I live! Any time we are nearby or passing through, we make a pitstop here because it's so delicious. Well worth a trip diversion. What makes this place stand out is the marinated fish options and the toppings to customize your bowl, only a few places have both! My husband and I usually split a large which comes with 4 options of protein, but we usually get 2 marinated salmon and 2 marinated tuna options depending on what they have available that day. The size of the bowl is immense so this is plenty of food for us. It's a little pricey (~$20, but with us splitting it, it's very reasonable). They also have sushi rice as a base, pineapple as a topping, plenty of toppings and sauces to choose from, and the fish is always really fresh! Parking is super easy and they have online ordering which can be clutch during lunch rush hour since it gets pretty busy. I can't wait to go get it again when I'm in town!

Oh my gosh!! So good! Extra cilantro and tempura crispy's are my favorite! Huge portion!
    Rae Ann D.

Great flavor! Huge portion! Even the 2 protein option is huge and I can never finish it. It's also a great price for what you're getting. Fresh fish and fresh veggies. The pickled radish is amazing! I love the ginger and the house sauce. The service was quick and friendly. The place is clean inside, which makes us feel great. My stepdad loves this place and it is always busy, which is also a great sign!

Small Poke Bowl was actually HUGE!

Wow! Very impressed with the quality of food from this place. The best poke place that I've had to date in 38 years.

    Brandon T.

This poke place was absolutely breathtaking. Every single bite felt like a glimpse of heaven and I truly could not ask for anything better. The amount of fish, toppings, and portion size I received was beyond worth it. Huge shout out to the server who prepared my large poke to go. You went above and beyond and you honestly deserve every good thing coming your way. We ordered a large for about twenty one dollars and it was more than enough to satisfy two extremely hungry people. The portion was generous, fresh, and filled every craving we had. Even though I live far away I already know I will be making the trip to Rancho Cucamonga often just for this. If they ever open one closer to me it will instantly become my go to spot. Truly an incredible experience that left me feeling fulfilled in every way.

Of all the poke places nearby, I would say this poke place is best one in the area. They give a generous portion for the price. The fish doesn't taste fishy and it's fresh. They have a variety of fish/seafood to choose from, but I would say the best one is tuna. Service was good and speedy, so it's perfect if you're buying lunch for work or just simply in a hurry. And interior was clean, which is a plus!

Small Poke Bowl (2 proteins - Shrimp & Spicy Tuna)
    Angela N.

This was my first time trying this place and I ordered food to go. I was impressed by the portion size of a small bowl. I couldn't even finish it. It came with 2 proteins and you are able to get as many toppings as you want. They had a wide variety of toppings. I got shrimp and spicy tuna. From my experience, everything was fresh and tasted great. I would definitely come back here!

    Lucy Y.

Went to Poke Place for lunch and had a great experience. I got a poke bowl and was impressed by how many topping options there were--it felt like a great deal for the price. Everything was fresh and flavorful! The service was very quick, and the staff were super nice and helpful. There were a few tables inside, and the space was clean and quiet--simple but pleasant. Perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch.

I really wanted to like this place. My brother raved about it, so perhaps it was an off night.. or…read moreperhaps their happy hour is quite different than their normal dinner service. However, this was the experience. Came in at 9pm. Sat down pretty quickly. Ordered a Philly roll, albacore tuna roll and yellowtail roll. Albacore was the equivalent of canned tuna mixed with some sriracha mayo. Yellowtail had a pungent fishiness to it; most certainly not fresh. Philly roll was the best out of the three, but was loaded with cream cheese. For $6 a roll, I wasn't expecting high quality. But I also wasn't expecting THIS quality either. Grocery store sushi is better. We were ready to order a second dish of edamame, yakitori and a beer. It took 20 minutes for someone to even stop at our table and we continually tried to wave someone down. We eventually placed our second order and also asked for more wasabi. We received our food, but no beer or wasabi. As we bit into the yakitori, it was cold. Like it had been sitting out for a half an hour longer or more. We tell the nice waitress (the only one who was attentive the entire time) it was cold. She brings back the chicken and I notice a skewer is smaller than the rest.. they literally clean cut the piece I bit into and reheated it lol. Our waitress was very nice, but it seemed like she was literally doing all of the work while other wait staff were kind of in lala land. I may try out the regular menu the next time I need some convenient sushi, however I'm not in a hurry to do so. Will update if and when that happens.

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Surf & Turf roll which is spicy crab and coconut shrimp, topped with seared Wagyu, truffle oil yuzu, and eel sauce--absolutely incredible! Next was the Kuwada roll which is crab, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with baked lobster, eel sauce, and masago. The presentation on this one was extraordinary--and the flavor was amazing! Finally we finished with the Shrimp Lover Roll which is crab shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce--another winner! Jojo did an excellent job serving and clearing plates, as well as keeping our water filled! This place is a treasure and I can't wait to go back!

The vinyl like material is cracking and uncomfortable to sit on. Our waiter was great. He was very tentative and kept asking if we were ready, had questions, or needed anything. The sushi even came out pretty quickly. I ordered the double jeopardy hand roll and absolutely loved it. That peppered salmon and albacore is a game changer from the regular fish. It gives it an extra punch of flavor. The vegetable roll was refreshing and light. A nice bright option from the fish. The nigiri eel, peppered salmon, pepper albacore, and salmon were fresh and I appreciate it being nice size slices of fish to rice ratio. I love that all the rolls come as a hand roll option because it's a little smaller portion. I also tried the Halibut but no my favorite. For a premium fish it tasted slimy and had no flavor. The shrimp boats were not good. They were heavily bartered and fried. It was like biting into grease. I also didn't get shrimp from it, more imitation crab than anything. I don't suggest this item unless you enjoy deep fried. FYI, This place can get pretty crowded on the weekends and evening but definitely worth checking out!

Their seabass is good, but I've had better. Truffle udon 7/10- creamy & udon cooked al dente (just how I like it). Sashimi deluxe platter 10/10: my boyfriend and I had not seen any photos of the sashimi deluxe pot that we ordered, so as soon as the server brought it out, our eyes widened and jaws dropped. First of all, the platter was absolutely beautiful , there was dry ice that was cascading out of the bamboo fixture, like a waterfall, over the bed of ice, and pieces of the sashimi weee decorated with fresh wasabi and 18K gold. Our server gave us a presentation, so that we knew what we were eating, and once we picked up the first piece of sashimi with our chopsticks and ingested it, it was LOVE at FIRST BITE! Although most of the items were tried were good. The Sashimi was the definite star for us. My boyfriend and I agreed that our main focus to order on our next visit is the sashimi. Tenmaya has become my favorite Sashimi restaurant in town!
