I did an UberEats order and they prepared it quickly but it also tasted just as fresh as it would be in store. I'm pretty picky with my ramen but this one was pretty tasty. Would definitely order again!

This is our go to ramen place when we're in the area. Me and my now husband, had our first date here and we come back all the time. I've never been disappointed and I'm still in love with their ramen after all these years. The ramen broth is full of flavor and the staff is so nice and attentive. I've been currently obsessed with their spicy pork chop rice bowl. It's such a huge portion, end up taking half home. The chicken karaage is also a must try, so tender and yummy.

Their ramen noodles are quality noodles, their toppings are fresh and delicious. If ordering chicken, make sure it isn't burned or overcooked- it's happened before & that texture isn't enjoyable in ramen, but they have no problem revising. My husband and I tried this spot and didn't expect to love it like we do. He usually gets the pork broth, but adds chicken for protein. The cashiers are kind and have been welcoming. As far as the ambiance, it's clean, but the music kind of throws the vibe off. Will be back for more delicious ramen

Wow!! I'm still full and I tried this place weeks ago!! On a cold moist day the vibe was absolutely a warm bowl of ramen. A quick search we found Kotsu and could have been happier. When we got in it was slow only a couple or two. By the time we left 75 percent of the space was full. This is a walk up and order then seat yourself type place. The servings were absolutely massive which I wasn't aware of or I wouldn't have ordered one of everything with a side of rice haha. The meal was fast, extremely flavorful and really hit the craving that was itching.

When I finally sat down to eat, I opened the container and was greeted by a clump of mushy, fused-together noodles. Not exactly a great start. To make things worse, I wasn't given chopsticks for my ramen--just a flimsy plastic fork that actually broke mid-bite. I'm a big fan of ramen, and this was the first time I've ever had to eat it with a fork. Not exactly a milestone I was hoping to hit. As for napkins, they included a couple of those rough, brown, tri-fold paper towels you usually grab in a public restroom. It really added a certain... atmosphere to the whole experience. The food itself wasn't terrible--I've definitely had better, but it wasn't the main issue. Overall, though, the experience was so consistently off that it felt less like a meal and more like an experiment in how many small things can go wrong at once.

Some of the best ramen I've ever had. The broth was incredibly flavorful with a perfect consistency, not too thick, not too watery; and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I constantly compare other ramen spots to this one and this is my favorite! The service and food were great, but the facility maintenance needs attention. Best ramen around!! Top tier I recommend the Kotsu flame, Kotsu curry... anything Kotsu Depends on your mood, really. They have a lot of options for those who prefer pork, chicken, or veggie. Tons of side dishes as well to complement the main courses. I usually go for the Kotsu flame if I'm feeling like eating something spicy yet rich. I get the Kotsu curry when I want something with more depth. (Owner if you're reading this: This place needs some pork buns. It would be a game changer)

The ramen soup was just okay, but not something I'd get again. My boyfriend and I both ended up getting food poisoning afterwards, which was really disappointing. Overall, I wouldn't go back.

Came here to try a new ramen spot! It was a little crowded when entering since you have to order as soon as you enter the doors lol so wish that was a little different, cause we were jammed pack, there was a family of 5 ahead of us & then people came behind us & so they were waiting with the door open! After you order then you can pick a seat, get your soda & wait for your order to be delivered by the guy who took the order in front. I can appreciate it didn't take to long to get everything! The apps we ordered came out first which were the pork gyozas & the spicy flame garlic edamame! Both delicious. I could eat that edamame on the daily, they didn't hold back on drenching the edamame with their special sauce which I absolutely loveeeeee since I'm a sauce girly lol so the more the better! Still dreaming of them (: Our ramens came out shortly after & they looked soooo delicious & spicy haha we both opted to get the pork flame! I love that they charred the pork! Flavorrrr! Everything was spot on! I do wish they just gave a full egg instead of half only. Today my son and I wanted to have something different on a cold rainy day. We stopped in at Kotsu Ramen. The Look: Very Clean,opened space lots seating , from Booths to tables. Service: Great! Smiles and attentive. Portions: Large Bowl for what we ordered. Price: Affordable . Our Order: 2 Bowls Tori Curry Up Ramen ,Chicken Presentation : Absolutely beautiful and savory aroma! Last minute decision to drop by here after picking up our AX badges and we had to return one of our roomies back to his house before the big con weekend. Of course we had to get Japanese food. I was okay with the other location, but since many things were going to close soon (weekday evening), we decided to stop by. Even for a weekday night, restaurant was decently busy with a good number of customers at the tables and at the bar counter area. Service was a bit slower because of this and we reached the last call of the night, but overall it was decent. We got the: 1) Hai Five Gyoza: -5 pieces of their original pork fried dumplings. -It's okay. Standard gyoza dumplings you can get anywhere. Really wish they did the pan sear that other Japanese places do and you get that extra crispy flaky skin that comes with it, but alas. Some of the edges where the gyoza was folded was a bit tougher to chew. I'd put it on the same par as gyoza you may pay a bit too much for at festival. 2) Kotsu Flame: -It does have a kick at the start and a slow burn throughout eating the bowl of ramen, which is a plus since there's a lot of ramen places where you can order it spicy and it is barely even that. -You choice your protein topping and I got their pork chashu. Decent, smaller slice of chashu (you only get 1 unless you order more). Wish there was a tad more meat, but maybe I'm just spoiled by Ramen Nagi if anything. -Other toppings include soft boiled egg, diced green onion, ground pork, black garlic oil. -It's a thicker much heavier, oilier ramen with thin noodles. Maybe it was towards the end of the day but our noodles were a bit overcooked too... It's not bad, but there are definitely better ramen options either. read more

The inside of the place feels a bit cramped and looks pretty plain. The service was lacking, once we ordered our food that was the last we saw of the servers. The food itself was mediocre. You won't be missing out if you don't try this place. read more

Hello fellow yelpers .... The service is outstanding and totally accommodating. My mother and I were the only ones there upon arrival, we chucked it to being after lunch hour . It was quite hush quiet in there ..... I ordered a recommended ramen ... tofu curry .... And mother got chicken no spice ramen . ..... it was a bit thick and heavy , ramen noodles were not old and sticking together . Maybe it just wasn't for me today .... I couldn't tell you .... I tried this spot today, after struggling to find a place to eat since it was Memorial Day weekend. The place is nice, good decor comfortable vibe the gentleman that helped me was super cool. I got a ramen with pork and an extra egg the spice was perfect it didn't need anything extra and I had a bluemoon while waiting let me tell you that beer was so cold any colder and it would start frosting! The Roman here was thick and authentic now I see why they have good reviews the lady at the cashier had excellent customer service as my wife and I never been here we didn't know the spice level of the soups .So she ordered one that was way too spicy .So the woman at the register politely replaced it without us even asking ! not many restaurants offer that level Of courtesy .The ambience was awesome and not too crowded. read more

Not too long ago my wife and I went. The food was good. Keep in mind that it's under new ownership..so far the service is not the same as before. Two people are cooking and one is in front doing everything. (cleaning tables, taking orders). One of the cooks went outside to unload a delivery and then went back inside the kitchen to help cook. The ambiance is not the same. They took so long. From the time we ordered our food and finally got it took close to an hour and the place was not that busy. Terrible customer service. We arrived hungry and were seated while waiting for our food. Shortly after, a party of 12 arrived behind us. As we were sitting and waiting, Alma approached us and asked if we could move to the bar because she needed to accommodate the larger party that had just arrived after us. After being forced to move, we decided we no longer wanted to eat there and asked for a refund. When I requested the refund, she accidentally charged my card a second time instead of refunding it. When I approached her to correct the mistake, she tried to make me wait until after the party of 12 placed their order before helping me. Another couple next to us in the middle of their dinner were also asked to move to the bar in order to seat the party of 12! Awful! Completely unacceptable. The entire situation was handled very poorly and the service was extremely frustrating. I would recommend going somewhere else for ramen. read more

This is our usual go-to delivery spot for ramen in the area. The ramen itself is very good but the new sushi options have much to be desired. I ordered a side of shrimp tempura and california roll along with our ramen orders. The shrimp tempure was missing from the order which Grubhub refunded but the california roll had a very mayo heavy crab salad and the hardest avocado I've ever tried to eat. I ordered the CA roll with no cucumber but the avocado inside was so hard and unripe I literally thought they forgot the no cucumber note. A chopstick couldn't puncture the avocado slices and I couldn't get a bite through them. The ramen is great, highly recommend adding a side of tofu to any order but avoid the sushi altogether. Sure there's some level of quality decline in ordering for delivery but if you can't do a CA roll right that's pretty bad. read more

The kick was delicious not to spicy, noodles nicely done not to soft not to hard, the pork cashu was tender, thick, nicely charred, with a hint of sweetness, and had great flavor. The egg was soft with a hint sweetness. The chicken karrage was delicious, crispy and had paird nice with the Lemmon and brown sauce that comes with it. The hai five gyoza was temp hot so be careful let them cool down a Lil but the flavor was nice with a hint of garlic well done. The OG tori was good too the chicken was nicely charred around the edges and delicious along with the broth and everything that comes in it. Overall the food, service and ambiance were great. I have been going here prior to management change. History: Kotsu ramen had great quality under prior management with delicious rich broth, tender pork and noodles, and a good quantity of food. As time progressed, the food quality and service dipped and kept dropping until it's closure. So now I have returned when it came under new management. The interior has been redecorated slightly retaining the bright interior but with a slightly more stylized design. There's a few TV screens up listing pictures from their Instagram but the ambience is generally the same. Service was okay, you order at the counter as usual and wait for the food at your table. There was a wait but not terribly bad. The food has returned to quality. The broth was silky and rich with a nice kick from the flame seasoning. The noodles were tender with a nice snap. The pork is slightly worst than peak, but still tender and flavorful. This is the opportune ramen restaurant in the area in my opinion and worth a visit if you never experienced Kotsu ramen before. read more

Came for lunch on Friday and was seated right away. Chicken Karaage- 3/5: The outside was super crispy, but had an underlying burnt taste. The chicken was super dry inside and tasted better with some lemon and sauce on top to make it less dry. Kotsu Deluxe- 2/5: The broth was very bland and had no flavor. The meat and egg by themselves were salty, but with the bland broth it kinda balanced out. The noodles were very al dente and too hard. read more

My favorite Vegan Ramen in California! I've tried all the Kotsu Ramens from Riverside to Los Angeles and this is by far the best one! Subtle changes to the Vegan Tonyu Flame have made it even better! Unfortunately, this place is not what it used to be since reopening under new management. My family and I used to be regulars at this location and always ordered the same items. The last few months, our orders have almost always missed something. Lately, we have received our ramen with only half the ingredients (like no veggies) or substitute items (different noodles) and they have neglected to tell us. Why would I pay full price for an item when a bunch of it is missing and I was not even informed? Also, I have witnessed some unprofessional behavior, specifically with hygiene. I saw an employee walk in for a shift without washing hands or putting on gloves. I witnessed him grabbing my bowl from the kitchen (where I saw him drop an egg onto the counter and then pick it up with his bare hands and put it back in the bowl). When he tried to serve me the bowl, I told him I did not want that order after witnessing that. He just said okay and reordered then washed his hands and put on gloves. Wild. Lastly, I have absolutely no problem with English not being a first language or having a bit of a language barrier in customer service but there have been multiple times I have tried to express something and none of the employees could understand or answer me. I arrived at the restaurant feeling excited, though aware that it was under new management. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a shift in the atmosphere, and the menu had undergone slight changes. The person taking our order had an indifferent attitude, which set the tone for the rest of the experience. After placing our order, we were allowed to choose a table, but when we sat down, it was clear the cleanliness was lacking. The table was dirty with a random empty plastic bottle and had a sticky residue. The cups provided were also sticky, and the napkin dispenser was covered in dust. As we poured water from the glass container into our cups, I had to get up and ask for ice. The water itself had an odd aftertaste, which was unpleasant. While waiting for our food, one of the cooks brought it to our table--unfortunately, he had a very strong body odor, which was quite off-putting, especially since he was serving our food. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning, so as we tried to enjoy our hot ramen, we were sweating in the stifling heat.
