However, an energetic play time by my teenage grandkids resulted in a a smashed screen on our awesome Trane thermostat. AHR has been my go to for heating and cooling for over 20 some years! I have never had any issues with any of the technicians that have come out, they are always prompt, professional and courteous. Just had them out for the spring check. First time using them. I was extremely pleased with the service. They gave me a 4 hour window and the tech arrived within 15 minutes of the start of the window. Gabriel (the tech) was very thorough, he explained everything he did as well as the condition everything was in. He even changed all my air filters. You must know that P&S tried to scam me, stating my 6 year old A/C unit required replacement. They tried hard sales techniques and still cost $1400 to put refrigerant in. Completely scandalous company. Incompetent employees who scam customers out of hard earned money. 4 years ago they claimed that our old AC unit was completely shot (which they serviced twice a year). The old unit worked just fine at 13 years old. They just wanted to make money installing a new unit. 1 year after installing the new unit, they claim that that unit is trashed and needed to be replaced, due to the tenant not replacing the air filters (completely false, with pictures to prove). After having a 2nd opinion inspection done, they had neglectfully installed the new unit with a 6" gap, which was sucking in open dirt from the attic. Also, upon 2nd opinion inspection, it was observed that the previous"maintenance" was done improperly, not having the normal signs that a proper maintenance check had been performed. In addition to these unethical, scandalous, unprofessional dealings, they also are fond of cancelling scheduled appointments 2 HOURS into their dedicated window. Contracted AHR to repair a piece of refrigeration. AHR charged us well over the value of the equipment and still is not repaired or functioning. Faulty part was replaced by AHR and has failed again less than 90 days later. AHR takes no responsibility for their work or repairs. Company is still trying to bill for work not completed. Entire process has taken an unacceptable amount of time for a business. It really seems this company and their administration has no idea what their doing other than collecting bills. Every time our company calls and ask to explain why we are being billed the extremely rude office staff cannot provide any information. Our company has been swindled for over $4,000.00. We hired AHR as a recommendation from our property manager for the annual furnace inspection at our 1 year old vacation home. We hadn't used the heater for quite a while and when we turned it on a week later it wouldn't heat. I called AHR on a Sunday and they had somebody out very quickly. After some troubleshooting it was discovered the builder didn't install a required drain trap and the inducer motor was flooded. Not sure if this would have been caught in the furnace inspection as the builder's inspector and the private inspector we hired last year didn't catch it either. We ended up contacting the builder's HVAC company and it was fixed under warranty. What really impressed me with AHR however was their customer service. One of the owners called me for a follow-up, and in this COVID world, good customer service isn't easy to find. Advertising and marketing may make the sale, but it's customer service that keeps the customer. We'll be using AHR for all our HVAC service. Knowledgeable, reliable, and responsive! read more

Suggested they installed the unit on her new home three years ago and would be happy to perform a free inspection while they were in the neighborhood. $900.00 - suggested cleaning coil, clean blower wheel, clean fan and drain line flush. This was after a discount "cactus member" She called and asked us fortunately - none of this was necessary. Thought I had a roof leak, but it turned out to be leaks in the HVAC ducts on my roof (cracked HVAC sealant from a very old system). They sent someone out within a couple of days of my request to examine the problems & then scheduled someone for the next day. The repair guy, Butch, showed up early, identified multiple cracks in my HVAC ducts, and sealed everything up. Everything looks great! read more

We have beeen using AHR Mechanical since we moved into our house 6 years ago. They have always been prompt, reliable and professional. They installed 2 new air condioners last December. They inspected them in the spring and came back to check and make sure the heat pumps were working before winter. Josh and Deshawn were the technicians and they couldn't have been nicer. They found that one of our vents had a grid that had fallen back and the air wasn't coming through into the office. They fixed it and we now have AC in the office and have peace of mind that the heat pumps will be working efficiently when the days get colder. They always go above and beyond. read more

If you need dependable HVAC service do not use AHR Mechanical. I had these guys quote some ductwork modifications and their quote seemed reasonable and comprehensive so I agreed to move forward and we set a date for the work to be completed. I told them that the job was time sensitive as we were having guests and then additional remodeling work done that would interfere. Ok no problem was the response. Thirty minutes before they were supposed to start we get a phone call saying they only have one crew and they were sent to a different job. Our guests came and went and we completed the other remodeling work so I thought I would give AHR Mechanical a second chance. Gave them a call and scheduled a 4/15/22 install date. Five days later I received an email stating that the price had increased by 30% and they do not have the materials so thE 4/15 date would change. I tried following up a couple times but could not get a commitment and eventually not even a response. These guys talk a good game but cannot manage schedules, materials or even simple customer communication. If your looking for looking a company that can execute on what they commit to do not use AHR Mechanical. read more

Mike returned my call with 15 mins and was very friendly, forthright, and helpful. He told me the tech would be to my house within an hour and 15 minutes, but Nate actually arrived with 45. I could not have asked for more than AHR Mechanical provided: Promptness, honesty and value. Our AC went out on a Sunday. I called Mike and a technician (Darold) was at my house in one hour. Darold was friendly and only sold me what I needed to get the AC running again. He even commented that he was surprised to see a 12-year-old AC unit running as smoothly as it was! Clearly, he was not going to try to upsell me like many other companies have. Darold worked quietly and had the AC working in under 30 minutes. While the cost of AC repair is ubiquitously exorbitant, AHR offered many discounts. They also offered a one year warranty on the part they replaced. I would confidently call them for any other AC repairs we may need and I'd recommend you do the same. read more

One star out of five is way too high for this company. UNBELIEVABLE what just happened here!!!! Especially in the dead of summer. So much for customer service. Mike, who identified himself as the owner of this company could NOT have been more rude if he tried. We have ONLY used this company at our business for years and when we had an issue, because the cooler went out (that was replaced last summer)... With the type of industry we work in, it's IMPOSSIBLE to run the business. We would have to shut down for the week which is not even an option. In a nutshell, the technician came out, said we needed a new motor and it would take a few days too order. Really? He said we needed to talk to Mike about this. We did so and he was very blunt, rude, arrogant and said he needs his tech out on other calls and cant help us today. I was pretty shocked. We even asked if WE went up the street to buy the motor could the tech put it in? Once again NO... I think the thing that disgusts me the most right now is just how he spoke to our owner. We MUST have air today. NOT NEXT WEEK or later in the week, but TODAY...and this was very possible, because we were even willing to do half of their work by going to a place and buying one. END RESULT: My guys went and bought a motor, stopped production on our business and installed it themselves. We are up and running cool air now, however my company, the entire industrial complex I work in and anyone we know, I will absolutely NOT recommend this place. read more

AHR is great and knows their business well though might be overpriced (see below). Our compressor failed due to a another company's work on our unit 3 weeks prior. Of 3 A/C companies including AHR, only AHR realized the compressor was under warranty so we went with AHR. Unfortunately, after the compressor was installed, the technician noticed something was wrong (something another A/C company did not properly diagnose 3 weeks earlier). AHR has excellent technicians (Darold and Matt came to our rescue). I thought the price we paid for the hours they were there was pretty high (the ONLY reason I did not give 5 star) but I did not have time to compare with an A/C unit out in August. read more

I have at times been initially disappointing with AHR, but they always, always, have gone the extra mile to make it right. Anytime I have had an issue if it is simple they fix it right away with minimal charges. I recently thought I had a minor refrigerant leak in my AC, they came out and investigated and assured me there wasn't. 3 weeks later I was sure I had a serious refrigerant leak. This is big business for an AC company, I had contractors tell me I needed new coils. Leigh from AHR came out and was 99 percent sure that wasn't it. He investigated to make sure it was not a leak, then he trouble shot a small electrical issue with thermostat for an hour. He only charged me $150, said my refrigerant was good. They have consistently been honest and work to get problems resolved. There really isn't much more you can ask for. read more

Both were courteous and good-natured, a pleasure to be around (I generally hang around to watch repairs because I like to learn what I can about pretty much anything). Jiggs (sp?) was very pleasant on the phone and Norma in the office apparently had quite a time trying to source a part for our ancient Goettl unit but she came through in the clutch. Adam, the technician who most often comes to my house, has managed to figure out the tricky access route to my rooftop AC unit. I think his name is permanently associated with my file! AHR Mechanical Services was asked to perform a regular annual inspection for our HVAC system 5 months ago. The system was working fine. We paid them $395 for replacing supposedly a burned wire and installing an unnecessary HVAC starter kit that costs $40 online. Our regular mechanical company performed the next inspection today and was quite surprised to see the installed kit. We were informed that the kit was not essential for our system, as well as being highly over-priced. read more

From initial install (no pressure, honest answers AND leaving the final decision to me as well as giving me ALL the options I wanted or could think of) to yearly service, working with my schedule, reminders if you want them, discounts if you are a regular customer AND also telling you when the utility company is giving deals so you can take advantage of them. Everyone is just wonderful. Don't get me wrong, they are super professional and great installers and technicians, and office staff, yet you feel like family.
