I worked two paid trial shifts at this location after interviewing for a position. I was told I did…read morevery well, and during one of my shifts a customer even left a 5-star review mentioning me and another employee by name. After my second trial shift, I was told I would be contacted that evening regarding whether I got the job. I never received that call. I followed up by phone and text and still received no clear answer. What bothers me most is that the positive customer review mentioning me is still being displayed even though I was never actually hired. If the store has decided not to hire me, that's their decision, but I think applicants deserve basic communication after being asked to work multiple trial shifts. Based on my experience behind the counter, I would not recommend this location as a place to work. And I would appreciate the business no longer presenting a customer review mentioning me as though I am an employee there.

STORE 4296 should be REPORTED to UPS corporate…read more Unfortunately, this is one of the worst UPS Stores in Westlake VIllage or even from here to Downtown Los Angeles, and that's saying a lot because I go to many locations. The biggest issue is the owner, John. He is consistently rude and unprofessional, which clearly explains why so many reviews mention his poor customer service. I asked for his name and he flat out refused, saying, "I'm not telling you." That alone says everything. So immature. This location nickel and dimes customers. Unlike most UPS Stores, they do not tape boxes BUT instead SELL YOU TAPE. For a UPS Store, this feels cheap and unnecessary, especially when other locations tape boxes without issue. They also do not scan packages at the counter. You are told to go do it yourself at the kiosk. Yes they'll help but c'mon just scan a few boxes at the counter when the store is empty! When I placed my boxes on the counter, John removed all of them and put them on the floor, saying customers needed the counter space. The store was EMPTY, one of the slowest locations around because of the owners' terrible service... What makes this even more frustrating is that the younger employees are great. They are polite, helpful, and professional. If the owners stepped back and let the young people who understand service run the place, this store's reputation would improve instantly. Unfortunately, the two older men who run it, including John, are a problem. I now go out of my way to use other UPS locations. Better service, faster experience, a little more understanding customers should be provided tape, and no attitude.

Second, I was told they could not change the shipping instructions for a package. I was to call them at their same location where I was physically now and they would do it that way. Well, I called from home the Westlake location and he put me on hold and never came back on the line after 11 minutes so I hung up. I called again to speak to the manager, I was informed the manager was not there. But he would help and apologized. What does he do, he transfers me right away to customer service. No help. Why couldn't the first guy transfer me right away. What a way to run a business. Moreover, I was on hold with customer service before already for 11 minutes. FedEx as a whole has gotten a bit pricey on their document printing which is a bummer, but they do print high quality posters.
