The lady up front showed poor customer service and a nasty attitude. She wanted to charge me for using a piece of tape and just wasn't friendly at all. I understand if policies change but being kind and not looking at someone in a rude way or speaking down to someone isn't needed or professional in any way. I wanted to think maybe she was just having a bad day and took that out on me until I unfortunately saw her other recent reviews. This is my local UPS store but I hate going in there. The owners are unfriendly and it always feels like I'm bothering them. Today, I had a simple boxed and labeled drop off. I arrived 5 minutes before the store closed, the gate was half down and was told they were closed. I mentioned that I had 5 minutes and just needed to drop off. The young girl acquiesced with deep irritation and pulled up the gate. She proceeded to tell me that I better have the label ready, that she was alone and doesn't get paid beyond 5:00, that I can't just walk in at close... Had the window sign noted the store closed at 4:55, I would have been ok and returned another day. I will go out of my way next time. I'm tired of giving my business to grouches. read more

I spent the last 15 years getting every notary I've ever needed (which is many) and sending all my packages through this shop. I went in today to return an Amazon package which required a box. I had a box ready for the return and asked the young lady at the counter if I can use "an inch" of tape so I can secure my package to send. She refused me and said I need to tape it at home and then bring it in, she said all this while her tape was sitting right in between us. I don't expect local shops that I've spent thousands of dollars at for the last 15 years to treat me this way. I will never step foot in this location again. read more

That Manager/Owner? is an awful lady. I went there to return an Amazon item. The Amazon return instructions said there was no need for packaging and that "they" would handle everything. When I tried to drop off the item, she made me buy packing and said they don't package Amazon items for free. I thought maybe I misread something so I bought the packaging. I went home to check the return instructions, I was right. She should have packaged it for free per Amazon instructions. I'm sure she knew that, but she scammed a few bucks out of me. On a different occasion, I went in there with another Amazon return. It was packaged nicely in a cardboard shipping box but I didn't have any packing tape to seal it. I went to the store and asked if they would seal the package for me (maybe 12 inches of packing tape), she told me they don't seal items for free and that I had to buy the a roll of packing tape from her. Needless to say I walked out of the store in disbelief. That particular store has always been horrible, and for the record, there are many others all over the place to choose from. read more

I went in to print 1 single piece of paper. Nothing special, just a black and white one page paper on basic printer paper. Guess how much they charged me.... $1? No. $2? No. $5? YES! $5 for one piece of paper. My experience with the Los Arboles UPS store showed me what rotten service is! They told me I could print color copies for $0.59 - no extra charges from their computer. I go in, they put me in front of the slowest computer I've ever seen, move me to another one, and it takes me 20 minutes to get (5) copies! So what ...- chill, I know computers screw up - no big deal. I go to pay - and they jump the price up and try to overcharge me for "computer use" time ! I just laughed and said No,No - that's not gonna happen. I'm amazed with the indifference and attitude - like my wasted time means nothing. They should have given me the $3 or at least a discount! I come to this store most days as I have to ship a lot for work. I absolutely love the team here! They are friendly, ultra helpful, and are always going the extra mile! I can't recommend them enough. I occasionally hear people say that they are going to try the post office to save money. All I can say is that you get what you pay for. I wanted to write a review because I received the best customer service from these 2 women that work there. They were kind, attentive and made a situation that could have been dreadful so easy. I got fingerprinted last year and there was miscommunication between Department of Justice and our school and myself and I went back to get fingerprinted again and they easily processed it without me having to pay again. They also did it with no attitude and just simply want to help. I appreciate them. They made my day! It's these little kind encounters with people that leave an impression. read more

I am not sure why there is no option for no star. This store does not deserve even one star. I was instructed by Spectrum to return the equipment. I brought in 3 items. 1 internet box, 1 wifi router and 1 cable card. Kyle at the store insisted that he only needed to scan 2 items. Box and Router. And I received a bill from Spectrum show my full monthly payment for $170. I called and they said the cable card was missing. I went back to The store but Kyle was coming in late. I spoke with the manager but she saw my receipt and she said I only returned 2 items. So now I need keep paying $170 until I return the cable card. So I will bring this matter to the small claims court. Because it is my words against their words. They only received 2 items. I will ask for the video camera in the store. Also. After they find it was their mistake, I will bring to the court for me dealing with issues and could not flight to Japan. Its not just $170. The problem is I need to keep paying until I return the card which I brought to the store, but Kyle totally ignore and made error not returning. Please be care full. read more

I've been here several times over the years. A close, convenient place with plenty of parking. I've used it mainly to mail packages and for their notary service. However they have the usual mailbox service and the store appears well stocked for everything mail related. The notary service stops at 5 pm, though the store remains open until 6:30. read more

Just dropped off 8 boxes of file folders to be shredded. I stopped in earlier and asked the one employee if I could come back later when there was more help so someone could help me unload my car. When I got back there were two young men in their 20s and the owner present. nobody came to help. They stood inside and waited for this 72 year old man to unload 8 heavy boxes. I had a VERY important statue to send to my brother in Missouri - it was a family heirloom that needed to get there in one piece - it was very delicate. Singh at the UPS Store #1055 in Thousand Oaks was SO kind and took the time with me to understand the importance of the piece, and to make sure it was properly wrapped so it was not damaged in transit. It got to my brother intact - and my brother was so grateful to get it. He even told me, "Whoever packed this up did a GREAT job!!" This place is terrible! The customer service is awful and they have countlessly over charged me and have also guaranteed me delivery with failure to execute. I've returned to this store only because of the connivence of the location but today I finally made the decision to never go again. Very rude woman this morning!!!!! I tried to return Amazon package but she tried to refuse it. I bring it in the original packaging and she kept telling me it cannot send it back that way. The delivery slip was still on the box too but i still try to not taking from me. By the end she said ok as i showed her both box even has the delivery slip so what other box she wants????? Also on the Amazon app says I don't even need to pack the returns so I didn't get why this woman gave me such a hard time. They are a one-stop shop, which is nice - I needed a notary, USPS and UPS at the same time. So it saved me a bunch of running around to three different places. But their prices for the post office services are very high, and the notary was one of the unhappiest people I have ever seen in customer service position. Also, he was a major germaphobe that wouldn't touch anything I had touched. The experience was actually hilarious and insulting at the same time. There are better places to go. However, I do drop off a lot of return packages to Amazon here, and they are always very nice about those. They accept Amex, which is a big plus and why they received 3 stars instead of 2. read more

Visited this location yesterday and got quoted shipping. Returned today to be told that it was going to cost $175 MORE than quoted yesterday. VERY disappointing. I don't blame the hourly, front desk person... but I DO blame the owner who was there yesterday when I was quoted. The fact that the employee didn't feel like he could honor this, or reach out to the owner was disappointing. I definitely won't be using this location again.
