Upon searching "laptop repair" in Yelp, one of the first suggestions around El Monte was Fix A Computer. The call linked me to Jose and accepted to evaluate my Son's gaming laptop repair the next day. During the evaluation, Jose explained how the gaming laptop hinge would be repaired and gave two options for the repair approach. After two days with Jose at Fix A computer, I received a text alert that my Son's laptop was ready for retrieval. Jose stated the repairs that were done and applied new thermal glue, improving my Son's gaming laptop cooling functions. Both my son and I are completely satisfied Working with Jose at Fix A Computer. I'm the happy father helping his son and my Son is happily back gaming from a brief pause. Thank you kindly, Jose.

He said hed take a look and quoted me an estimate based on what he thought the problem was and said it would take a few days. The next day he calls me and tells me its ready for pick up and he fixed the problem. Charged me less than quoted and its been working fine since. No damage no extra upsells, just good honest work. Mike and his team are professionals and broke everything down so i understood what i was paying for and their work is super solid. Cant even tell my console was taken apart. Now its running smooth and i have a trusted place i can take my electronics. I highly recommend them and will continue to use their services.

I searched for several pc repair stores around the area and none of them could promise file recovery. I didn't even know if it was possible at the time. When I ended up going to Jose's repair shop by the valley mall at the time, I was near the point of giving up and ready to cry(because, again, high school overachiever). Jose immediately changed all of that around for the positive. He assured me that he would be able to not only recover my files but run a virus check to ensure that there were no hidden spyware. He even included a anti-virus at no additional cost. This was back in 2006 and I still continue to trust him with my computers and ask him for recommendations on new tech or applications. He is the only person I trust with my personal files and has managed to set my up with a system that fits my needs. I do data analysis for a living and I am guilty of having a multiple spreadsheets at the same time which slows down my PC. Jose has managed to make it work properly. I have lost count on the times that Jose has saved me from complete tech chaos. I highly recommend him!

Parking: Free garage parking. It's quite low so I would be careful if you have a vehicle taller than 6'2". Don't park on the ground floor as it designated for other businesses and you may get towed. I get test anxiety. The owner and the employees are friendly and fast. They don't act overtly strict or too lax. It's just right. I recommend this testing center alongside Edugo in DTLA to everyone. I'm personally not a fan of the Pearson Professional Centers due to their professionalism and overall customer service.

I was visiting from out of town so he ordered parts that arrived within the week. He installed the new keyboard and suggested ways to protect the keyboard so that this would not happen again. I bought a keyboard cover which makes the keyboard look great and my keyboard works great :) The price of the parts and the labor was very reasonable - I am happy that I chose Computer Stop to fix my laptop.

We talked about the issue I was having and provided the servicing cost which I feel was fair (~$100). Gave me a 2-day estimate for servicing. After 2 days the technician gave me a call that my PC is ready to be picked up. At the store he gone over the issue (which is an incorrectly plugged in power supply wire which I completely overlooked). PC is running very smooth. No issue ever since taking my PC in. All software running with no issue. No more power issue. No more stress. Will not hesitate to come to Kaddy's for any future PC issues.

I just purchased it a few months ago from the Apple Store. Next morning, I brought my laptop to Hung and his partner (I forgot his name) who are very knowledgable. They did their little magic and was able to resuscitate my laptop back to life! Best of all, they didn't amputate my arm or leg for the repair! ;) So far, my brother's screen protector has been very protective, my mother's unlocked iPhone is functioning perfectly, my Macbook has been getting me A's jk but it's working just as good as new. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

Had I known that, I would have taken the computer directly to an authorized repair provider. The laptop is currently being repaired by Geek Squad. I intentionally support small local businesses, and Di-No is close to my home, so it seemed like a win-win. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When I asked whether a refund was possible given that the repair could not be performed, I was told no. Consumers should know there is a possibility they may pay for a diagnosis, only to discover that the shop cannot complete the repair and that they will need to start over elsewhere.

Mike and/or his team I guess (?) pick up and drop off and you pay the guy at the counter who knows nothing about printers. I never saw the printer guys; just talked to Mike on the phone. It took almost 3 weeks, but at least prevented me from buying a whole new printer. If I spent another $100-150, though, I could have just gotten a new printer the next day. So this is the kind of situation you're dealing with.

After a pet-related mishap caused my son's computer to shut down I decided to contact Sam & Marcus…read morewith Expert Reaction based on them being local, and very highly rated here on Yelp. While they do "house-calls" this issue was a bit more serious, and so I coordinated with Marcus to drop off the computer so he could trouble-shoot the problem. (Note: their current location IS inside the yard for the auto body workshop.) I also left them with the brand new PSU I'd bought from Newegg, thinking it may have been the problem, but wisely deciding to use their services rather than have a go at it on my own. Because as it turned out it was NOT the PSU, but the motherboard and RAM, and after replacing those components Sam and Marcus were able to get the PC up & running. They also very considerately did not even open the PSU box, even leaving its shrinkwrap intact, making it an easy RMA for me. The lads stayed in contact with me during the entire process, which took a little over a week, from the initial diagnosis, to sourcing the new components, the installation, and then 'burn-in' to make sure there were no other issues. At the end of the day they get a well deserved, well-earned 5-star review. "Pet-mishap", remember? Let's say it was of "the worst kind" and leave it at that. Thanks Sam and Marcus!
