My husband and I recently purchased several cuts of beef, chicken and pork front Ainsworth Meats. The beef filets were tender and very flavorful, the beef and pork cutlets were tender and tasty when chicken fried and served with cream gravy. The chicken breast was very fresh and very superior to what I have purchased at any local grocery store. The service was great and the individual who helped us was very knowledgeable. Every item you purchased is shrink wrapped so it can go directly into the freezer. The prices are reasonable and we will definitely be purchasing from Ainsworth Meats again! read more

We have been wanting to try Ainsworth Meats for a while now - based on their stellar reviews - and we finally made it out. (We usually buy our meat and poultry from WholeFoods when we're in the US, but we're looking for something different.) It's a quaint location. Very clean and spacious, tastefully decorated and not cluttered. But what you're probably really interested in hearing about is their meat! There's a far greater selection of meats here than at WholeFoods. They even sell precooked brisket vacuum packed. They sell a variety of wild game as well, like deer, elk, and buffalo. We ended up ordering a bone-in ribeye and a T-bone steak with mesquite marinade. (A lot of items can be purchased with marinade, which is convenient.) The quality of the meat is excellent. We just had two of the best steaks we've had in a long time, even better than you can find in a restaurant. We're simply amazed. The total came out slightly cheaper than it would at WholeFoods. In terms of service... We instantly got the impression that the staff care about what they do. It's a family owned and operated business that's been around for nearly 50 years. They pride themselves on old-fashioned service. This is a 100% accurate description - and very apparent from our visit today. Our server was very cool, kind, and courteous. It was our first time here so we took a while to decide on what we wanted. She was patient with us. There were plenty of staff behind the butcher counter, and all were busy and seemed very pleasant. They had some potatoes and tomatoes for sale, as well as pickled home brand mushrooms, garlic, asparagus etc, fruit butters, salsas, and salad dressings. We will return here for our meat and poultry needs. So happy to have found a local butcher to support. read more

Small town butcher, but with TONS of food options. Meats, sides, spices - you name it, they got it! The team here is so helpful and they take the time to answer all your questions. The seasoned pork chops, chicken, fajitas- etc are so delish, as are the burgers with jalapeños and cheese inside. Go to this place!! read more

It had been awhile since I checked out Ainsworth meats. It's kind of tucked away in a weird spot on 2978 near the back of The Woodlands. I failed to plan dinner and I needed a quick entree. The first thing I thought of was a Cajun stuffed chicken. Hebert's has it but they are all the way to the front of the woods so I decided to revisit Ainsworth. So glad I did. It's a full fledged Butcher shop. And then some. They did have the stuffed chickens but they were frozen so I had to go another way. They had a variety of choices. Fresh cut Steaks, marinated chicken and beef for fajita, burgers, apatizers, and a small amount of grocery items. Including bread and some produce. As difficult as the choice was I decided to go with a Kielbasa sausage wrapped in chicken breast then wrapped with bacon. See pics. I also grabbed a nice 5 pound beef chuck roast for another time. This place is rip. They short change you on weight. After spending $300+ on 2 freezer packs which included 3 lbs of strip steaks I received 3 steaks about 3/4 lb each. Also everything was shrink wrap & not labeled. The owner says they only label if asked to. Every first time customer knows to ask for labeling, don"t they? Very nice and helpful staff. Wide variety of meats, some marinated, sausages, specialty parts, jerky, smoked meats, wild game, cheeses and pickled items. The quality of the meat is top notch and no more expensive than the big grocery stores. Certainly faster to shop here. Brits, they have bangers and British bacon too. Sorry no Heinz beans in sight. They even have some aluminum trays and paper towels. So shop local everyone. Give them a try. read more

I have gone to Ainsworth Meats and have had no problems. As for the idiot who talked about the mask issue, THIS IS A FAKEDEMIC! You are an idiot masking yourself and your children is stupid and not going to stop a virus! From the CDC ( which have been lying and is a political group instead of being concerned about health) has posted that out of the people who have contracted the virus, 85% were religious about the stupid mask. I personally have noticed that people who continually wearing a mask have gotten sick. I do not wear a mask and I have not gotten sick. Ainsworth is a good company. If you decide not to go to the company because of a mask you do not deserve to get good service or quality meat! read more

Low inventory unless you want chicken. Poor customer service.

The customer service is amazing and the selection is incredible. We bought the chicken del ray with the jalapeño cheese sausage in the middle. Cooked it in an air fryer and it was fantastic. I wish we had been shopping here for the 16 years we have lived nearby. We will be back. Mark K gives them a 1 star review for being out of meat in the middle of a pandemic with a run on food.
