There are plenty of breakfast options and even a few mimosa-type breakfast cocktails. They do have a full bar. Portions are huge, and you should order the hash potato casserole; it is cheesy wonderful! The ham side is a thick slice that goes perfectly with eggs. A pancake side was a large as a dinner plate, and it was served with warm syrup. Their biscuits and gravy arrive with two buttermilk biscuits and are smothered in delicious country sausage gravy. Needless to say, we all went off our diets on this visit! Coffee is served in unique cups that keep your coffee warmer longer. I wonder how many of these cups end up going out the door. the good things about this place are the atmosphere and marketing. There's a lot to order here. I like that you can come for breakfast or lunch. However both times i've been have been just okay. I loved the pictures I took here, but the meal is never something to talk about. the portions i've received have been too much to where I usually save half and it makes for a full meal later. Today I had the buttermilk pancakes and my top pancake was undercooked :( I didn't like that my coffee was served in such a tall glass because half of it was ice and by the end of my meal it was half water. Our waiter didn't check on us at all during the meal, so getting another item for the pancake (and my dad's undercooked egg) wasn't an option. The Toasted Yolk is my go-to brunch spot to meet up with friends and family. I constantly crave the blueberry donuts (see picture). I also love and highly recommend their caramel macchiato, omelettes (I add a side order of queso to mine!), and the Ruben sandwich!!! I really enjoy eating at the Toasted Yolk, but opted for delivery today. When I eat in the restaurant, I also enjoy the hot tea and the Two Eggs and a Cake. My delivery (via DoorDash) was just as good and tasty as it is in the restaurant! I ordered the Two Eggs and A Cake with soft scrambled eggs, chicken sausage and grits. The eggs were cooked to perfection! Few restaurants get this right! The chicken sausage is delicious (don't knock it till you try it!). The pancake is amazing. It came with whipped butter and syrup. The whipped butter is super creamy on top. I also ordered a Side Hash Grilled and Gourmet Coffee. The hash is yummy! The flavor is just right. The Gourmet Coffee is just that...gourmet. It's smooth and rich. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't receive any cream or sugar, but it's possible I missed the selection when ordering. I also ordered the Strawberry Field Salad with blackberry vinaigrette. The grilled chicken that comes on top is like a thin sliced deli meat. That said, the Strawberry Field Salad is delicious and the blackberry vinaigrette is perfectly balanced and delicious on this salad. All in all, great job to the Toasted Yolk! This is a new location in Magnolia. We went on a Sunday morning a little after 7am. Great time to come since they had just opened. There was no wait. We were seated in a booth which was very comfortable. Meghan was our server. She greeted us and took our drink orders. Once we ordered our food, it came out quickly. A couple of other people came in before we left so still not very crowded or busy early Sunday morning but I'm sure it gets busier later in the day. Tip: If you don't want to wait, join the waitlist before you head their way. I was craving sweet & savory so I opted for the Two Eggs & a Cake breakfast. You can choose your eggs any style, choice of meat, choice of grits or hash brown casserole, and choice of pancake or French toast. I opted for eggs over medium, crispy bacon, grits & pancake. It was all delicious! The pancake was so huge, it came in a plate by itself. My eggs were cooked perfectly. Love the runny yolk. And I can add my own salt & pepper to my liking. The grits were amazing. Nice consistency and flavor. I added just a dab of butter to mine. The bacon (three huge strips of it) was nice and crispy just like I like it. Everything tasted great. Their coffee was really good as well. Hot & fresh in a cute ceramic mug. They brought out a little bowl of flavored non-dairy creamers and half & half for the coffee. Note: They do not have any non dairy milk options like almond, oat or soy milk for their cafe au lait or lattes. Overall this is a great breakfast place. Perfect for early birds since they open at 7am. They even have a patio area that is pet friendly. My only complaint (more of a request ) is that they start offering a non dairy option for their lattes and cafe au lait. read more

Either I am becoming a grumpy old bastard when it comes to expectations from a restaurant or they really don't t care and I am right. I finally tried this place figuring that it would have the bugs worked out in operations. Understanding this is a chain and one should expect consistency at each individual place. I sat at the bar because it was just me, myself and I. Boy am I wrong with expectations. I specifically ordered biscuits and sausage gravy with two eggs over easy. My coffee came out, and two seconds later, the biscuits came out, no eggs. I sat there for literally 10 minutes waiting for the eggs, the entire time, my biscuits were getting cold. When I saw the biscuits, they barely had any sausage gravy on them and even less sausage. It's a little miserable eating gluey gravy with warm eggs because they sat there. And with every greedy corporation, menu options change to make more money. So, not so long ago, one could order the B&G with two eggs as a menu item. Now two eggs are additional and cost as much as a dozen of organic eggs in the store. Yes I am venting, but it should not be over $18 for biscuits and gravy, especially when the biscuits are old and crusty and the gravy is lacking on many levels. It's a shame that this is what big corporate stores have come to, when the place is a nice comfortable place. The funny thing is, the person who took my order avoided me after taking my order and the manager walked past me several times while I was sitting there not eating my biscuits for ten minutes. The one on 105 is way better, I would not go to this one again. I am better off making breakfast at home, because it's fresh, better quality and I can feed a family for the same amount that I ate alone for. There is a lot to said for home cooking. read more

Every employee was staying busy, smokes and friendly. The employees all seemed happy to be there and the manager did a table visit even though the place was 2/3rds full. Manager said he was newly promoted. He's running a smooth shift and whoever is running the kitchen is putting out quality food in a fast table time. I was a director of operations at Dave & Busters when Dave and Buster owned the place. I can walk into most restaurants and give you a good idea of how efficiently it's being managed in the first ten minutes. Had to send back a meal that was prepared incorrectly after specifically speaking to the manager about dietary needs.
