One seemingly small detail that really impressed me: the technicians put shoe coverings on before walking through our home without my even having to ask. We have black granite floors that show practically every speck of dust and dirt, along with light-colored carpeting, so I really appreciated that level of conscientiousness and respect for our home. Bonus points from me for hygiene and cleanliness! During the second visit, they also performed a whole-house inspection and were proactive about letting us know about things we might want to keep an eye on or consider servicing in the future. I described our system's symptoms, and he let me know he suspected a capacitor issue. He worked us into his schedule and got us running the same day during the morning within two hours of us discussing the symptoms, which is already going above and beyond. We greatly appreciated this given it was in the middle of a heat wave. He also was willing to educate me when I asked elementary questions about HVAC, which I always appreciate from tradespeople. George's usual prices are a good value, being entirely fair to both parties. We'll absolutely be planning on calling GVK HVAC again for future A/C and heating needs.

I'm sure this cut some costs with remove/setup, but based on some research this is ideal as the weather can get down below 40 degrees where I live. We went with GVK due to this, the fact he took the time to answer all questions thoroughly and honestly, and they were able to install the next business day; got a quote on Friday afternoon and scheduled me for Monday to install the new system. The price was also very competitive with the other options. We did have a delay in starting as they had a mix-up on install dates and had to postpone one day. However, George called and apologized and offered a discount for the mistake and to charge our current system to help keep the house cool until they came out the next day, which I think reflects how he runs a customer focused business. When he did come out that day I had more questions about the setup and based on our discussion we changed the coil for more flexibility in moving the unit in the attic one day. It was pretty clear that George runs a solid business; he double checked they left no trash after leaving, his workers made sure to set up mats everywhere they worked inside, they let us know when they would be using louder tools (as we have a baby), and they stayed until the unit was fully installed which meant they stayed pretty late. I couldn't recommend them enough. George is really easy to work with, does a great job on the customer side and also steps in to do the work himself which is all reflected in the impressive reviews he has.
