My new vent goes through the roof and was installed a little over a year ago, after a fire in my home. When Jose went to the roof, he found that the flap was sealed over by stucco!! Jose also changed the direction of the duct that goes to my dryer; therefore, doing away with that bend in the vent. For all this additional work, he did not charge me an additional charge. LA Duct Cleaning and Air Duct Experts are the same company, so this review would apply to both entities. I scheduled a dryer vent cleaning with them based on a quote of $99 for up to 10 feet of dryer duct. I was charged $179 for 20 feet of dryer duct, and then charged an additional $60 for a filter box cleaning. The total was $239, much more than anticipated, but I was offered a discount of $39 if I left a review. I'm leaving an honest review. I would have appreciated a quote before service began or additional details on pricing over the phone. That said, I too could have made sure I knew the final price before the service began. The technician was courteous and did good work, but the pricing was much more than I anticipated. There are other vendors with flat rate pricing--$150 for everything regardless of length--that would be a better deal for me next time. read more

Had a good experience hiring Air Duct Experts to replace an old dryer duct in our crawl space. They switched it from the old flexible kind to a rigid flat metal duct that is safer. They were able to come provide an estimate the day after I contacted them, and completed the work the same day. Their price seemed fair compared to other companies that wanted to overcharge us. Ulises completed the work for us on his own and did a good job, versus a different company told us he would need 3-4 guys for the job (not sure why). I called Air Duct Expert for an initial inspection to see if I needed to get my air ducts cleaned. It had been almost three years since the last cleaning, and after turning the HVAC on for the first time this year I experienced some congestion which I attributed to dust that may have accumulated in the system. Jose showed up on time and worked quickly to identify all the vents and went into the attic to look at the main unit. Afterwards he showed me photos of the air ducts and fan blower in the furnace showing that they are all very clean still and there is no real need to service them right now. Jose and his assistant did a great job! We moved into the condo a year ago and had always wondered why the dryer took so long to dry clothes. Had the machine checked and it turned out it was in good condition and was told to get the ducts checked. Called Jose and he finds out the exhaust was blocked by stucco. Meaning the original builders messed up and even the previous owners of this unit never knew the dryer duct was blocked all these years!
