Purchased a home with a furnace that was serviced in February 2025 by this company. The log indicated that they did a furnace check up, hypervac service and air duct cleaning. I went to check the air filter to see what kind of filter I needed to purchase in the future. Imagine my surprise when I saw this filter just floating in the filter frame. There was plenty of gap for air to just go around the filter and straight into the blower. We have had Air Ductors service our house for many years and they continue to impress us. They have an incredible staff from the initial call to set up our appointment to when the technicians review what they saw during their cleaning and furnace servicing before they leave. Rob and Drew were very friendly and informative throughout, and respectful to us while they worked. The airflow through our vents is much stronger now and my allergies (to dust) are practically gone now since they cleaned them out. The "fan only" switch that Rob recommended and installed is AMAZING. I've used the services of Air Ductors since 2007, for duct cleaning, furnace and AC repairs in 3 different properties I've lived in. Every single time, they have been professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and reliable. The last time I sourced them, few months back, I was in a rental house, the AC was not working and the heat was nasty, the property owner sent his AC person and that person said the AC unit had to be changed and the cost would be 5,000.00+, and would take them a month to come back, I called Air Ductors asking them to quote the changing of the unit, they were there a day later, said that the unit was fine, but the vents were horribly clogged, so they cleaned all up, left all working perfectly fine after charging just for duct cleaning. I hope more companies work with this level of integrity; we need more like these folks. read more

I hate to give a negative review to a small business, but here goes. I called and made an appointment and was given a 4-hour window for the service call. I rearranged my whole day to be home. I checked in three hours into the window and was told I was next. An hour later, no service person ever showed up and this business didn't even bother to call to explain or reschedule. That was yesterday. I was polite during the phone conversations. I can't imagine why this business failed not only to show up but also failed to contact me to explain, other than they don't prioritize good service or responsiveness. Air Ductors came out to do dryer and home vent cleaning. The kid who came out said he has never seen an exchange like ours and had to call his boss. The home was built in 2012! He only could clean the inside dryer vent, not the exterior exhaust part. When he left there was dryer dust all over the laundry room and upstairs where he "cleaned." I waited to review them since I hate giving a bad review to small businesses but we just found out the dryer vent is full of holes. My guess is the kid who came and tried to clean it. Used Air Ductors for 5 times through the years, and for the most part they did a great job. But here's the caveat: early on they warned me about cracks in my heat exchanger, which they claimed would result in carbon monoxide being released into the house. Since they said it was under warranty I went ahead and did the replacement at no charge. Once removed I asked to see the cracks for myself. The guy had me feel around the inside and for the life of me I couldn't feel anything besides maybe the rough natural texture of the metal inside. Zoom ahead a few years to another furnace check-up and they tell me the exact same thing: heat exchanger needs to be replaced (again) due to cracks! Can't tell how serious he was because he seemed to have lost enthusiasm mid-sentence. Ultimately we hired another outfit who didn't see anything wrong with the heat exchanger in question. I told him about my conversation with AD: he admitted it was quite a common tactic (search on "furnace cracks scam"). He even showed a letter from the furnace manufacturer attesting that "hairline cracks" (if they are even that) are common and do not compromise the effectiveness or safety of the unit in question. Anyway, I'm not going to be dealing with AD any more for what may be questionable tactics. If they do suggest that you replace your heat exchanger, please do your due diligence and/or get a second opinion. read more

We had Air Ductors come out and clean our ducts and service our furnace. Was originally scheduled for 2 appts, one for the ducts and one for the furnace. When they came out to do the ducts, he said he could do the furnace while he was there too. That was awsome! As I was going to have to leave work early to make that 2nd appt. The tech did an outstanding job on both the ducts and furnace!!! Two days later, the furnace goes out, what the heck? So I called Air ductors and they had a tech (Rob) out in about 20 minutes!!! He diagnosed the problem, (circuit board) went out. (It is a 24 year old furnace) Had it fixed with-in minutes!!! Right before the 110 heat wave, our technician Rob came over for our air duct cleaning and AC maintenance. They cleaned all the duct for a reasonable price and checked the AC. Had our Furnace and Heat pump serviced by Mike from Air Ductors today. On time, and attended to every question I had on the system. Very knowledgeable, helpful, easy to talk to and honest. We didn't have a manual for our thermostat and he searched, found and emailed me a digital copy of the manual. I had hired this company a couple times in the past to service and clean my furnace. Last year, I decided to buy and have installed a new HVAC system. It was recommended I have my ducts cleaned prior to the install. So, I called Air Ductors, naturally. Made the appointment. But had a bit of a hassle understanding their procedures and how to properly prepare my home and in particular, address my concerns over the safety and well-being of my pets. The office person did not know how to answer my questions. She referred me to the owner's spouse. When that call came, I felt some attitude on the phone as if to imply my questions were out of line or something. In the end, I kept the appointment and prepared the house, removed my animals to avoid any issues. This was a hassle to burden a neighbor, but I did it. On the day of the appointment, no one showed. No one called. When I called the office, I only got VM. 4 hours later, the owner's wife called to tell me their tech had a truck breakdown and was in an area of no cell service. She did not apologize and asked if I wanted to reschedule A FULL WEEK LATER. The HVAC install was in a few days. AND, I had taken time to move things to prepare the house, arrange to stay home from work, remove my pets.....UGH! Some service providers have no sensitivity as to what they ask customers to go through. I was just a job to her. Still no apology. What an amazing experience! I've had big duct cleaning projects and been completely amazed at how organized, efficient and effective their cleanings were. They also maintain annually 2 furnaces with great care. This time my furnace stopped producing heat, though the furnace ran all right, which I thought was something therefore that I must have done. So I reset everything and went to bed, thinking next morning everything would be fine. Next day still no heat and it was below 50 degrees early morning. COVID-19 was all over the Seattle area, and I called them at noon to get someone out, but they had shortened their hours for obvious reasons. I left a detailed message on their answering machine, and next morning at 7 I got a call saying they could be there soon. Mike, Jr arrived before 7:30 a.m., changed the igniter switch, and had everything working perfectly within the hour. Just bought a home and never owned a furnace or vent system before- I knew I wanted to clean the vents but wanted to make sure they were all thoroughly cleaned and not just using a shop vacuum, like other companies do.
