We had them come out to just clean our dryer vent. They were here for 15 minutes total, never went inside to actually push the lint out of the vent. They only did the outside and when I asked him about going inside he said that is appliance issue. My husband ended up purchasing brushes on Amazon and cleaned the vent out from inside, which in turn made him have to clean it out from the outside again. Not to mention all the lint that it pushed through on the roof again. Very frustrating. Although I think PNW Fresh Air did an adequate job cleaning my dryer vent, they took minimal precautions to protect my appliances and home while they were here. I have a new washer and dryer that didn't have a scratch before these two guys came out. The assistant kid was using the top of the washer and dryer as a staging area for their tools, using no drop cloth or protective pad to protect the surfaces. After they left I see that the washing machine now has several long deep scratches and both washer and dryer have multiple scratches and scuff marks. The same assistant also took the big shop vac that they used to clean the vents, which had been sitting out on a muddy wet lawn just prior to being brought inside, and put it directly on the hallway carpet with no drop cloth to protect the carpet. They did both wear footies, so I guess that's something. read more

Update:This review is overdue and taking out 2 stars because... I tried to contact this company for an annual check last year. First, the response took awhile. I had called, sent a msg via yelp, msg thru the website and email when i finally received a response. I didn't want to go thru another company since they've already serviced out furnace the previous year so I waited. Second, when I finally got a reply, it was so difficult to schedule a service day. I gave him my availabilities, and he couldn't make any of the days work(even if it meant booking a month in advance). Everything I had said about scheduling on my initial review, I got the total opposite treatment when I tried to book with them the following year. The person I spoke with wasn't easy to talk to, impatient and short. Grateful they came when they did the first time, disappointed of my experience the following year. read more

The Team arrived on schedule and began hooking up their power vac to our furnance duct and opening and cleaning the vents. They wore booties everywhere and was careful loving around the house. These guys are fast, efficient, and competitively priced. I needed some diagnostic work done on ducts in my house--one room hasn't been getting heat. These guys were the only ones willing to commit to figuring out where the block or break was. They came out and figured that out first. They didn't really have a diagnostic service in their list of stuff they did, so they came out to clean the ducts, too. They did a great job at both. They located the broken duct joint and cleaned everything within a couple hours. They showed me pictures throughout the process--dust, mold, crud all piled up from probably years without cleaning. The house is 30 years old and the dust was easily half an inch thick or more in there. They forwarded me all the photos in my invoice, which I had in email before they left the house. Duct cleaning isn't an expense I want to cover every year; it's a few hundred bucks for something you can't even see or use when it's done (in the sense that it's not a new tangible thing). But there's no way around the fact that ya gotta do maintenance like this, and this is one thing that most of us forget to have done. I have just had half of the heating ducts under my house replaced by PNW Fresh Air. The job was done by two young men who were very polite, professional and personable. They came two days ago to do the scheduled cleaning and found out that 6 of the ducts were damaged and had to be replaced. They were able to schedule the 2nd visit almost immediately (today). I hired PNW Fresh Air based on all of the 5-star reviews, and they did not disappoint. His bid wasn't the cheapest, but it was the most thorough. It turns out that in the 17 years we have had the furnace, it has never been serviced, the ducts had not been cleaned, and no filter was installed. (I thought my then-husband was taking care of everything.) I did end up spending more, but do not feel like I was nickel and dimed as I did not realize the extent. Shabtay (the owner) is great. He is super responsive and trustworthy. I live in NE Seattle and he drove here round-trip twice from where he is based in Lake Stevens, including returning--twice--during rush-hour. So I have used this company's services in the past to do a vent cleaning and an A/C service, and recently just called them to do a furnace service. Unfortunately when they got up there, they were unable to move forward due to an issue with water being in a pressure switch thing (I don't know all the technical details). I was thinking, great I will get charged for them to come all the way here and just look at something. Nope Jake, not only didn't charge me, he let me know what the problem was, gave me a referral to another company and even stayed next to me while I was on the phone with the other company to explain what was needed - all at ZERO charge. Then as he is driving away, he calls to tell me he thinks he figured out why water was getting into our exhaust, it was because the cap on the roof was missing - and to call the other company to make sure they bring a cap when they show up for the diagnostic! Shabi did a fantastic job cleaning all the ducts around my house. He even discovered that an old flooding incident had caused water to collect in one of the ducts, rendering that heating register useless. His equipment was able to handle sucking out the water to correct the problem. Shabi returned at a later date to fix my dryer vent situation. Turns out that the home builder had skimped on construction and the dryer was dumping warm moist air into my crawlspace instead of outdoors.
