Kirin came by to do the work, and you can tell he really enjoys his craft - he was meticulous and took his time to get everything just right. They redid the counter flashing, cleaned and sealed both chimneys, replaced spalling bricks, applied Crown Coat, installed new stainless steel rain caps, and replaced a window flashing. They also repaired window trim bricks to coordinate with my window replacement, and gave me a very good price for that extra work. Everything was done on schedule, and the work looks fantastic. It's not easy to find good contractors. I'd definitely call them again and recommend them to anyone who needs chimney or masonry work.

After a thorough onsite visit to gather our input, Eric provided a detailed estimate, which unknown to him, exceeded our budget - and then worked with us to make the project within our budget while maintaining our priorities and aesthetic. During the estimating processes, we were told a 6-month lead time was needed due to the current climate (COVID) - and they were able to start/complete the project more than a month earlier than planned. As installation began, the team prepared the jobsite to ensure zero damage to our wood floors and surrounding areas. Throughout the project and upon completion the jobsite (our home) was kept clean - like they had not been there. At the conclusion of the project, we had a beautiful show piece that looked like it had been to the house all along. His knowledge of everything about masonry was on point and generous. My quest to cap my chimneys started this past spring when an adult Swift bird got into the gas fire box because the flue had fully opened up during a recent wind storm. Fortunately the pilot light for the gas log set was not lit and we were able to let the bird into the house, capture it into a garbage bag and release it unharmed outside. A few weeks later we were startled to hear the chirping of baby swifts in the same chimney when mom or dad dove down the chimney to bring them food at the tiny nest they built just above the flue opening. We had to endure the loud chirping ~ every 7 minutes for two months as the chicks grew and finally flew away. Darrel did a great job finding the right caps of different sizes, chipping some cement away from the one chimney liner to expose enough of the liner to attach the cap and even painted the chimney crown with some grey Flex Seal I had on hand to seal it until we replace it and the other two crowns when we sell our 35 year old home in the next year or two. Darrel did not want to charge me for the extra paint step but I compensated him anyway because he is an honest, knowledgeable businessman working to build his new business. He was flexible and accommodating with the scheduling. Price negations were also very professional and I feel like I god a great value for the work he has performed. The project was to prep a fireplace for installation of wood burning insert stove and involved grinding out of external face cracked mortar between bricks causing internal fireplace leakage. Darell comped pickup and delivery of the fireplace insert and installation from the total cost of the project. As he was performing the job he recognized that the upper condition of the mortar was in a better state, and did not need repairs, so he refrained from fixing what wasn't broken and lowered the cost of the job. Later on when called about some follow up questions he was very accommodating and provided plenty of his time to consult on operation and maintenance of an insert fireplace. Not only did we get an appointment within days, Casey showed up exactly on time, and even called to let us know he was on his way. He used care and caution in our home, and was very respectful by taking his shoes off without even being asked. Casey came prepared with parts necessary for the retrofit. After the main servicing of the 28 year old fireplace, he told us it could easily be fitted with a remote, and that it already had a fan - that was broken. He quickly retrofitted for the remote and installed a new fan. We were so happy that we didn't have to replace the entire fireplace. We cannot recommend this company enough!
