When the technician Jeff from Air Flo came, he explained that he found out that we had mold and bacteria in our AC unit, and needed UV Light installation, which cost $600. However, the technician was very clueless how to install it, even tried to call for help from someone when he broke 2 UV Lights and made scary loud pop and fire sparks from it. My father told him no more after seeing him struggle to figure it out. However he continued to try to tell my father that he has a differ model that he can install. And he knew what to do. The technician Jeff started to make 2 holes outside of the vent on top of the AC unit. My father immediately told him to stop, but he insisted that it is the way it should be installed. Very unprofessionally, he even asked us for duck tapes to tape the UV Light on the Vent. And leaving a long electric outlet line hanging on the AC unit. After he asked my father to tip him. Also very silly us, felt very bad for him that he had to work on a hot day, so my father tipped him $50. When I came home from picking up kids, I called Jeff and questioning why it was installed outside not like he told me, would be installed inside the AC unit. He said this one works just fine. My new HVAC system was installed just months ago, and my technician showed me why fogging the vents was necessary. They had quoted $500 for fogging and recommended an additional UV bulb. Bulb installations typically cost $200-$1,000. Air Flo's technician also recommended fogging and installing a UV bulb. The total cost for fogging, bulb installation, air ducts + dryer vent cleaning was $699 out the door. The important thing to remember is Florida's high humidity requires extra equipment to prevent bacteria, mold, mildew, etc. Older HVAC systems may not have a UV bulb, which prevents bio growth. Vents need a bulb too, since growth happens outside the AC unit as well. Once everything's installed and cleaned properly, coupons for $89.99 cleanings once per year are well worth it. read more

Checked the AC unit, started to tell me his recommended additional equipment with UV light, special cleaning prior that needs done. I'm always open for improvements. Personally, I think he did a great job so I can't complain. He is a rough with communication as English isn't his first language but he does work hard and get the job done. We just had AirFlo clean our ducts and dryer vent. The two gentlemen were very professional, courteous and informative. Before they started fully explained what they were going to do. They cleaned my dryer vent and found a screen in the vent on the roof packed with lint and dust etc. it was wet and heavy as it rained very hard yesterday. (No wonder my dryer was taking so long to dry clothes!) Most likely prevented future fire. So thankful they found that. They advised - recommended but were not pushy at all, which we really appreciated. They offered a uv light cleaner which we did not take at this time as we wanted to do a little more research on the benefits but they did offer a military discount - which again very appreciative. I must say I used this service as a last ditch effort to see if my dryer was working properly ( as it its brand new) , and my sensor kept going off. Somehow I got talked into a sanitation job, of which costed me $275 where he basically laid a blower type machine into the airflow vent of my ac and let it sit there for like 5 minutes. He also took a huge vent looking machine and hooked it to one of my vents, and that was it. All of about 10 minutes total. My main reason for calling was to fix my dryer vent duct. I got a coupon in ValPak for $99 Combo Clean Air Duct + Dryer Vent. The service was supposed to include "Unlimited vents per A/C unit, High pressure negative air machine, Camera inspection, Air flow check, Duct work inspection, and A/C unit inspection". The young lady who made my appointment told me he would first put a camera through our main air intake (where the filter is) and show me the dirt and dust and inspect the vents to make sure there are no holes. Then, he would attach the machine (basically a vacuum) and suck out all of the dust which I would be able to see in the filter. I asked about cleaning the dryer vent and she said he would pull out the dryer and clean the vent from the inside AND he would clean as far as he could inside the dryer from the back. I specifically asked her if they were going to try to sell me more extra stuff and she said, "On no no no" and laughed. Today, the so-called technician arrived, asked the last time we had our vents cleaned, looked concerned, shined a flash light into 4 vents, didn't even want to look at the air intake, and said we had mold and mildew and his cleaning would not help at all, I'd be wasting my money. I told him I wanted the $99 cleaning and he argued with me and said it wouldn't pull any dust because it is stuck and I asked him if he was going to put a camera in the vents to inspect and he claimed he already inspected. I asked him to leave, but on the front porch he continued, so I invited him back in and asked him to just "Cut to the chase, how much extra will this cost?" This whole cleaning process felt like a joke. I will never use this company again, and I will make sure everyone I know hears about this scam. Be careful! Today, 3/12/25, I had an appointment for air duct and dryer vent cleaning. My appointment was for the technician to come to my house from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. When it was 11:06 am, I called to see what was happening because no one had called me back and no one had come to my house. When I called, they informed me that they were going to call the technician to find out what happened. After waiting an hour without anyone getting in touch with me, my wife called them back and explained once again what had happened. We were very angry about the poor quality of service. We explained to them that this was not acceptable, especially since we had taken the day off to receive the service. My wife asked to speak to the supervisor to explain what had happened. Unfortunately, he never called us back, and the technician didn't have the balls to call us either. He only sent us two text messages offering to reschedule our appointment. Got an Airflo Valpac coupon for cleaning of dryer duct and ac ducts for $99. The technician said his name was Gil. I have seen that name in other complaints here. He refused to service the dryer duct because the washer dryer combination is in a closet and would have to be moved to get to the dryer duct. He then stuck something into an ac duct in the kitchen and quoted a price of over $1000. my wife asked what about the coupon. He said the coupon could only be used if the ducts were clean. He then talked us into a $300 duct sanitizing. we weren't sure what that involved since he came in empty handed. He went to his truck and came back with a plastic can shaped like a gas can and proceeded to spray something into our air handler. Contacted the company and they arrived the next morning. I was at work and the worker explained to my wife that we had a major issue that would take a lot of work to unclog a supposed clogged dryer vent. Quote given to my wife was double the amount for any other company, however she was unaware of that. Because she was told it was dangerous to run the dryer she had the work done.
