Ben came out to clean the vents, I had had them cleaned 1 week before and still having issues with the dryer heating up. The got me an appt within 1 1/2 days The service was great and Ben took the time to explain all that he was doing, he started on the outside and hit a blockage, came in and started from the inside and went back outside to finish the job and make sure the air flow was correct. It took him 1 1/2 to get the birds nest out, he would not give up. He made sure there was no mess inside and made sure all was cleaned up after he completed the work. Also ran the dryer to make sure it was not heating He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure I understood the process. This will be my go to for any kind of vent cleaning. Avi and came out and cleaned the vents and dryer vent. I don't know when, if ever, the vents had been cleaned, but it had been 3 years since I had the dryer vent cleaned. When they cleaned the dryer vent from the outside, it was like it was snowing. So much lint and debris coming out of the vent!! It was scary to think that the amount of lint coming out from the vent could have caused a fire. I am pretty sure the last guy I hired didn't clean the dryer vent from outside, only a cursory cleaning from inside, based on observation of Avi and his partner. They got on a ladder outside to clean the vent. Gave me some good information on how to keep tabs on things. They did a phenomenal job, were timely and not a mess. We just moved in August, and I wish we had the air ducts cleaned earlier since there was pet fur (and dog food!), old tiles, sawdust, giant lent balls, all sorts of things in our vents that Avi removed for us. Avi was very responsive through the Yelp app. He answered multiple questions promptly. After getting multiple quotes (most $300 more and nickel and dining the vent count) and looking over reviews I decided to move forward with Air Improvement. Avi called approximately an hour ahead of scheduled time and gave an ETA. He showed early, walked through the house to ensure where all vents and returns were, and got started. He had to cut the returns that were painted over and was careful not to chip the paint. Upon completion of cleaning the ducts every vent/return covers were replaced. The furnace was inspected and given a light clean before tackling the dryer vent. Avi worked on the vent from the inside as well as the outside, and cleaned up the lint upon completion. Before and after pictures were taken and explained. Air Improvement was efficient, punctual, and did what they said they would without any surprise markups. I contacted Air Improvement based on the posted on-line reviews. After 29 years in this house, the cleaning of the vents and returns was obviously well past due. Avi quoted me a price over the phone. I felt that the price was reasonable and fair. Avi arrive at the house on schedule and fully explained the process that he used. As he worked through the house, he showed me the before and after photos that demonstrated the quality of his work. We had not discussed cleaning the dryer vent during my initial call. As an after thought, I asked that if he had time, would he also clean that vent. I expected that this work would be charged as an extra. Avi responded that the dryer vent was included as part of the quoted price. With the ducts all clean and sanitized, I feel the difference. Overall, the service and the results were great.
