We have had Krantz as our preventative maintenance service for almost two years now. We had a…read moreBi-annual contract set up. There were multiple times I had to call to have them come out and service as they were behind on our contract, on top of that they never walked staff through regular monthly repair information. I was told on the phone today that filters should be replaced every month, they only service the filters on the time scheduled for a bi-annual check. They do not send a reminder or share best practices for getting this done for us (not the HVAC professionals) who are supposedly just supposed to know how this is done and what is needed of 60 ton units. We pay people for their expertise for a reason. On top of that they wanted a $100 per unit that needed to be looked at (our business has 8). The unit that is currently down is our main unit which they had "checked". They left the belts out of the unit on top of the roof, and kept the motor running after sending a quote via email for just belt repair, which there was no response to due to change in ownership, which they were told after resigning our contract and sharing new ownership contact information. This caused the transformer to blow, which we now have to repair on top of replacing the belts they removed and never once reached out to us asking to confirm this information or if we wanted to be serviced for this project. They left it to deteriorate. The last time we were serviced was 6 months ago meaning we were due for a bi-annual inspection and no one was sent to take care of this. I called another company who came out today and showed me photos of each unit, and the unit at hand that had the issue, which Krantz last touched. They walked me through everything I needed to know and let me know they also do monthly preventative maintenance options if need be. It is a shame that a business who's job is specifically HVAC could be so careless to let this happen and show no form of remorse or concern when the issue was addressed being argumentative on the phone because they sent an email in December (to the wrong ownership). Funny because when we spoke in February to finish off the invoice, Unit 1 was never mentioned, or the repairs they said they sent a quote on. In the two years we have been with them we already spent 20k on repairs. Sad. Anyway look for another business especially if it is for commercial work. Otherwise you will be spending a lot of money in the long run.

I had to have all the work redone by another company and it cost a lot of money. The county inspectors, Dominion Energy and two master electricians from other companies looked at their work and were shocked at the poor workmanship. They left the outside meter box in an unsafe condition with exposed wires and dangling master on/off switch. They used the wrong wiring and the wrong sized breaker in the inside breaker boxes. They destroyed every surge protector in the house as well as several appliances. They offered to fix some of it, but after seeing the quality of their work, I was not willing to trust them again. They were also way too dismissive of the scope of the problems they had caused; arguing that it wasn't going to require much to fix things. I felt like they focused on the need to avoid costs of repair rather than how to make things right in what was clearly a major screwup by a new employee who was way in over his head on this job. Add to all this, they said they would compensate me for some of the cost of fixing their mess and I never saw a cent. The company may be okay for HVAC work but I sure don't recommend them for electrical work.

Mike came out and looked at my unit. We checked to see exactly how old the thing was. It was a a lot of Kareem Arun, but it had been registered at the time it was installed. It was eight years into a 10 year warranty and I told him to fix it. It was the air compressor and the refrigerator coil. Mike said if that was what he wanted him to do what he would do so he was unable at first to obtain a replacement for the air compressor. They wanted him to go to the place that he purchased the unit in the first place and they didn't have one for him to put in. I lived in South Carolina most of my life, but I have not air conditioner in a very long time, I very quickly became extremely unhappy with the fact that I did not have air-conditioning. Mike went out and bought a small unit they put it in while he was still hunting for the replacement parts. It cooled my bedroom down enough so I could sleep in the cats could sleep. My unit has now been fixed had ended up having to factory itself told them that I couldn't find the and that nobody in town meant to one told her her my serial number gave her Mike's name and contact . She actually called Mike when I called him after I got off the phone with her I called Mike to tell her what she said that this is what he needed to do, and while he was talking to me, he got a message from her. He and two of his young man came over. They took out the piece that he had already part four and they started putting that one in while he went to pick up the one that was getting shipped in by now. Have a cool house again like I said been a long time since I've been without air-conditioning I would give Mike a five star review the things that went wrong during that repair not his fault. Mike comes over and checks my unit out twice a year to be sure that everything is working it should be. I cannot think of anything that he could do that would improve his record or his work ethic he has always gone above and beyond. He actually serviced my parents prior to me needing an air-conditioning put in because of the time I hadn't this on I Mike five star review and recommend him to anyone without any hesitation at all.
