We called Capistrano Air and they scheduled a visit for today. They said it would be $95 just to come out for the inspection and the cost would be absorbed or waived if any work needed to be done. Jorge came out, listened to what happened, went up to the attic to inspect the furnace and found a fuse that had blown out. He replaced the fuse and was done within 15 - 30 minutes. Done. $145 out the door. I wondered if he could check our air conditioning unit to do any maintenance on it (which is what so many people say MUST be done once a year), and Jorge said that is not necessary. He said our HVAC unit is working fine and should be fine for the next 10 - 15 years! He said that the only "maintenance" that needs to be done is to replace the filters once a year (which is what we do anyway).
