Husband sent photos of the existing unit, Andy asked for a few more just to be sure (our unit ended up not being installed properly, which explains our periodic leaking issues with the unit...), and after gathering enough information provided a competitive estimate with the details. For a couple years now I was planning on upgrading and wanted to establish a relationship with a company that handles repairs and checkups on the unit. Found Alpha Air Pro on yelp and worked with Andy on a membership for them to come back a couple times in a year. The membership even came with a discount on the work being done when my wife and I decide to pull the trigger on a new unit. Well that time was now. We just pulled the trigger on a 16 seer Goodman, insulation, duct work, and removing the old asbestos. If I had photos of the before I would share. Took 4 days (one day for asbestos removal) and they worked with my schedule for a quick install. Even when there was a delay with delivery, Alpha Air Pro made it right and still delivered. It's easy to write a great review when everything goes well and there are no issues but the true test of customer service is how issues are resolved. What started out as scheduling glitch was resolved professionally and efficiently. Andy M and Blake really went out of their way to make adjustments to accommodate the repair today. Even though they weren't sure they could get it done given the heat wave in town, they did and, with A+ service. I was not holding my breath that they could pull it off but they over delivered. I had full AC and furnace replacement with the company in April 2020. They did good work but terrible customer service. I have been trying to get a call back from someone for service and no one calls. Avoid them if you want or expect good customer service. I regret using them because they have no concern for you after they get paid. Bad business. read more

We spent $17,000 having Alpha Air install a new system for us last year with a 2 year labor warranty. We've had Alpha come back a dozen times to fix a number of things that went wrong. For the past year, we gave them the benefit of the doubt since they came back to fix the problems they created in the first place. However, things have taken a bad turn. Our brand new AC stopped working again on Aug 6 during the middle of the heat wave. I spoke to David that day, who said he'd come by Aug 10 to fix it. It's been 4 weeks and we've called David, Andy, John, and the office daily. We can't reach anyone. Spent $17,000 and we have no working AC. Not sure what's going on over there but I'd avoid this company. If the owner wants to call me back to fix the problem, I'd be happy to talk. But as of now, this is unacceptable and Alpha should be reported for negligence. read more

Really disappointed in Alpha Air. We got multiple quotes from different companies and though theirs was not the lowest, we liked them and moved forward. Fast forward a month, we have been going back and forth with them for the whole month trying to get an accurate quote and work out the details of the job (where the units were going to go) Suddenly the quote we were given shot up by $6,000!!?? Very frustrated that we invested the time and effort in this company when we should have gone with any of the others whose quotes were all under Alpha's original quote. Another A/C company trying to up sell me. I didn't need a new coil, condenser, and my system didn't have a leak like Alpha Air Pro told me. I simply needed my system recharged. Instead of the $6,000 + system they tried to sell me, I paid $495 to recharge my system with Freon. It's been working great! Nice try Alpha Air Pro. read more

Great Service today from my Technician Randy! He noticed my unit was not working properly right away and took the time to get the source of the issue. Unexpected that there would be an issue with the unit on a standard yearly maintenance call, but he stayed the extra time to fix everything and make sure the unit was working at 100% before he left. I found myself on here doing the same thing awhile ago when my central air unit stopped working. After talking with several other HVAC companies to get quotes on repairs. I found that Alpha Air Pro was my best choice. Their representative at the time, Andy, came over to my house with a kind professional attitude that made me feel confident that they were the right team to do the job. Also, they gave me a fairer quote than other companies gave me. However, me being me, I thought that maybe I don't want my old HVAC repaired. It was installed on to my roof back before the new century, and it was an eye sore to see that old hunk of junk sitting up there. I told Andy as to what I thought about replacing the whole thing all together after he had already sat with me for awhile explaining to me what needed to be repaired and then giving me the quote. Being the patient man that Andy was he took his time explaining to me what needed to be done. He didn't rush me, AND he didn't push me with any upselling on more products. In fact, Andy helped me out a lot. And, I appreciate that Andy! So thanks. Just didn't like the way you disappeared on me and the project. But, that's ok. This company was absolutely fantastic! We returned from vacation on Monday to discover our AC unit was not cooling the house at all. That evening around 6pm I called and was met with very friendly service and a "can do" attitude. He immediately set up an appointment for the next morning. The service tech came out and was able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes. The repair was a very reasonable price, when we asked if we needed more puron for our unit they were honest and told us we were all good. Our unit has been functioning just great with no problem. Out of the four companies who came to look at the project Andy was one of the most creative thinking, honest, and affordable contractors who extended me a quote. I'm glad I went with this company because they completed the project quickly, with precision, and friendliness that really made the job actually very easy to deal with. I would note that they're contracting service is a separate business and it took some time to coordinate follow-up remodeling with their contractors, but the air-conditioning side is five stars for sure. Do Not go with this company! Alpha Air Pro has yet to give me my deposit back ($6,000). They have been giving me excuses and the run around on not returning my deposit. Here is the breakdown. Andy M. was the representative who I was in communication with about getting a new installation hvac for my home. We messaged through yelp regarding pricing and equipment. We agreed on a set price and equipment before he was able to come see the work. So David and Ricardo(installer) comes to my home to inspect the house on Saturday August 1st. Andy used pressure tactic on getting that price we had agreed on yelp ($10,000) that I had to sign that same day (red flag) and then they wanted a 50% deposit that very same day (another red flag). Just FYI it is by California Contractors Law that they cannot ask for a deposit of more than 10% or $1,000, whichever is less. So Alpha Air Pro broke the law! We gave them a deposit of $6,000 not knowing this contractors law until after the fact. The install was suppose to be scheduled for Tuesday, August 4th. So on Monday, August 3rd I messaged Andy about the install and he said they don't have all the equipment since it's sold out and it would take up to possibly 2 weeks for them to get it. So Tuesday, August 4th evening I spoke to Andy on the phone to cancel the job since we are not going to wait for the equipment. As stated on Alpha Air Pro's contract "You may cancel this transaction without penalty or obligation within three (3) business days from the above date." At which we had cancelled on the third business day. Then this is where it gets crazy. David sends me a text on Wednesday, August 5th saying that Andy no longer works for the company and that we cannot cancel the job. Andy calls me and said he left the company because the company owes him money. Then Ricardo shows up to my house saying he also left the company too and that he wants us to go with him for the install. David tells us we can't cancel because it's more than 3 days. He is trying to count Sunday as a business day. Sunday is not a business day! So we are trying to ask for our deposit back and asked to speak with the owner of the company but yet David says he is out sick. We had given them time to try to fix it and gave them the benefit of the doubt but they have taken our money and will not give it back. Now they are ignoring and avoiding my calls and messages. Stay away from this company! They will scam you of your money like they are doing to me. read more

Awesome service today from our Technician Randy. He is super friendly, professional, and most importantly, honest. He tested all the components in the AC unit before determining the issues. He wrote up several options for me to chose from. I asked him a lot of questions and he answered every single one without hesitation. Our AC unit is 35yrs old. We are naming it Ol' Betsy now. The new motor Randy installed caused the housing to shake a little more than usual. I joked that the "new heart" is too strong. Randy was not satisfied with the shaking and reduced the shaking. At the end it was much quieter, although Randy was still not satisfied. I told him I was happy with the end result. He said if I am not happy in the next few days to let him know. I had issue with my AC not cooling but knew it was probably time for a replacement as it was very old along with my furnace. I contacted many different companies and felt like I was being sold and wasn't sure if the prices being quoted were considered reasonable as they were all over the place. I contacted Alpha and they came out and were very thorough gave me many options if I didn't want to do a full replacement of AC and furnace. We ended up doing the replacement as their prices were very reasonable in comparison to the others and they did a few extras for me that I requested as well with no extra cost. I scheduled the work for 2 days later and they did a great job!!! I am happy with my new AC and would def recommend. read more

Had a mini-split system installed just under a year ago by alpha air pro. Everything worked fine but then we didn't use them again until it recently got hot again. Now they are not blowing cold air. Andy the tech came out almost 4 weeks ago and said that they were low on refrigerant. He said he would have someone come out to fill it up. Didn't hear back from him for 2 weeks and we called and he said he no longer works for the company. He said just to call the company and that they would send someone out. I called and spoke to them and said they would call back by last Thursday to schedule an appointment to come out and refill it. It's now a week later and still no call back. I've called 5 times and left messages and still no call back. I would not recommend using this company at this point. They are clearly unorganized and have other priorities once they are done with your job. Hopefully I can update this review with them coming to fix......but until then beware of using this compan read more

Blake and his colleague completed the entire install in just a few hours and made sure that I was happy with the placement of the materials. BUYER BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!! When we first approached Alpha Air Pro they were very eager to get our business. Andy seemed to be really nice and helpful. The day of the install they somehow tripped the power to our restroom and master bedroom. Then the supervisor came out and tried to blame existing problems with our power which we didn't have. They claimed they fixed the problem and then the next morning the power to our lights went out again. They wanted nothing to do with it and never returned our calls. A month into the install both mini-splits they installed read E1 and would not work. Then one would work and one wouldn't. Again we tried to call and we couldn't get a person to answer and no one would give us a callback. Yesterday we finally hired someone from a different company to come out and take a look. This took up a ton of our time, cost us more money, and truly gave us a headache. Find another AC place unless you are into being frustrated by lack of quality work and professionalism. read more

First bad review ever. I guess there's a first time for everything. Very disappointed with their service. We had an issue with our A/C unit so we contacted them based on their positive reviews. I guess yelp reviews are not as reliable as I thought. Blake came to our address to fix our A/C unit but instead of diagonosing the problem, he just assume it was a coolant problem. He poured 4lbs of coolant into our A/C unit and called it a day charging us over 400 dollars. I decided to check on the internet to see how much this particular coolant cost and it roughly $4/pound of R-410A refrigerant. We basically paid them $420 dollar just to watch some guy pour coolant into our A/C unit. Well... fast forward a month later, the A/C unit stops working again so we decide to contact them to see if they can address the issue and they wanted to charge us an obscene amount just to diagonose the problem.... what they were supposed to do the first time and that doesn't even include the repair cost which I'm sure they would of failed at as well... Andy promised to call back with a solution to help out... turns out he failed to return a call even after charging $400 dollars for a failed job.. YELPERS BEWARE read more
