You'd be surprised at the number of companies that don't. I had 6 total HVAC companies out to my house to fix an AC issue (4 through home warranty and 2 hired myself) and no progress. Billy from All knight was dispatched through the warranty company and diagnosed the problem and Jimmy returned a couple days later to install a new outside unit. Prior to the install-The receptionist called to discuss my options and answered questions that I had and scheduled the service. Jimmy then called to follow up with my questions and discussed the best path. Jimmy called and arrived early. He had the issue (outside unit) installed it in well under 2 hours. Both Billy and Jimmy (FYI- Brothers, Jimmy-owner)are good, down to earth people and wonderful at their craft. I'm from a small town and this type of service is the expectation where I come from. Great people and great company from top to bottom. Billy has also installed an attic fan with flawless work. Highly recommend!! They will be my HVAC company from now on.

The big name company with fancy commercials on TV And took monthly service amounts to "make it easier" for me. 2 years ago they said that I needed to replace my ENTIRE air conditioning unit that they had been servicing for almost 10 years. The unit was only 11 years old at that point. They tried to sell me a new one for $9k !!!! I decided to get a second opinion and had 3 different companies come to check the unit. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. They said someone had loosen up a valve and all the antifreeze was gone. Needless to say I was almost the victim of fraudulent business practices. That said, also apparently not terribly skilled at…read morediagnosing an issue correctly because it took three trips -- all at my expense -- before their other tech found what he called "a very obvious issue"...so obvious it was somehow missed twice before by his co-worker. On top of that, he also said we needed a new TXV, except it turned out that was also incorrect. The TXV was, and still is, fine. It was later discovered by a different company that on the original visit the co-worker had badly overcharged our unit to the point where the excess refrigerant had to be bled off and recaptured before it caused bigger issues, like mimicking a bad TXV. We used the different company for that, they didn't charge us for it, and I won't bother calling Air Supply ever again. I used Air Supply based on recommendations here on Yelp and from several neighbors. Not sure why we got so lucky but we ended up spending a LOT of unnecessary money chasing down "a very obvious issue" and having someone else fix it.

We scheduled an appt with a different company in Pickerington, OH for 7/3 only they scheduled us incorrectly in the computer for the following Friday. Naturally, with our home pushing 90degrees, I was pretty intense on the phone when I called to inquire about our sevicemans tardiness; so I cancelled and started hunting for a new company to come fix our ac. I came across LFR Maintenance and on a stroke of luck, was scheduled for the same day (7/3)!! They had a technician out to our home within 20minutes and it took him 15mins to fix our problem (a common capacitor burnout). I was so excited that they were able to repair our ac unit and within such short notice!
