My condenser unit was on a small balcony on my 4th floor and the evaporator coil/air blower unit, Furnice were in the attic above the 4th floor. Jose was able to line up a crane and replace the old unit and install a new unit the same day as the qoute. The entire team was very professional and completed the work on time. Parker evaluated the cause (slow leaking evaporator coil) but he wanted to be sure the rest of the system maintained integrity by performing a pressure leak test which he did a few days later. He charged the system back up, enough to get me to the pressure test. Confirming the problem, he passed me over to Hope who provided a solution and explained in detail what needed to be done, what it would cost, and how long it would take. This was on a Friday afternoon. She was able to coordinate the required new equipment, materials and schedule their construction team for the following Monday morning. Everything was in place that morning and needless to say, they knew what to do and how to do it. They jumped on it, and never stopped. No breaks, no lunch and were finished by 2:00 PM. This was a major project, having to demo and rebuild the supply plenum, remove and replace the coil section of the furnace, install a new drain pan and drains, etc. As fate would have it, my thermostat had failed and that caused a delay getting the system to start. Richard, another airWoodlands tech came out and discovered the problem quickly and provided me with a new thermostat. From Angela, to Parker, to Hope, to Cossa, and to Richard, I could not have asked for a better team from any one, anywhere. Customer service in general has failed in America, but this group is an exception. I will never have to search for an a/c contractor. Air Woodlands is the best. (A special call out to Parker. I have been their customer for years, using them for work at two different rentals, including installation of an entire new system in one of them, less than 7 years ago. Last week this system showed some problems. I actually forgot it was under a 10-year warranty and called another HVAC company. Their tech came out and told me what was wrong (clogged coil) and suggested I use ACTexas to fix the part (under warranty) since they were the original installers. This tech didn't even charge me for the service call, which is unheard of! When the ACTexas tech came, he confirmed it was the coil, but instead of suggesting the replacement they tried to sell me an entire new HVAC system! When I insisted on replacing just the coil (under warranty) they wanted to charge me an outrageous labor charge, far above the national average, and again tried to convince me to buy a new system. I declined. They then tried to scare me into buying a new unit stating that entire unit was old, over 10+ years and probably would need replacement soon anyway. Hello?! Did they forget they installed it themselves 6-1/2 years ago? I declined again pointing out what they said was not true. They then dropped their price for the coil installation, twice (!), but still nowhere near what it should be. I went back to the other HVAC company. Those people offered to do the coil replacement for a lot less money. (They did not know how much ACTexas charged). They came to do the job and while they were there another part started to fail. They actually ran out immediately and got that part and installed it free of charge as well! On a side note, I was told by two different HVAC companies who looked at this particular unit that it was an inferior brand sold to me at the time by ACTexas. Needless to say, I will not be using ACTexas ever again.

I had rooms that were some hot, some cooler, and overall the machine was just running too much making the electric bill go up. They were able to fix some of the leaking ducts, as well as service the unit in the attic and the outside section to make sure that the house would properly cool down. That on top of the UV light i had installed and some new filters throughout, my whole family is breathing better and staying comfortable. Pricing was very fair.
