I scheduled a maintenance check up on my a/c unit. They scheduled it for 3 weeks from when I made the appointment. I was understanding as this was not an emergency. On the morning of my appointment I called to see where they were and was told they scheduled 4 appointments during the same 9am-12noon time slot. The said it was due to emergency calls. They had a service tech come out and quickly diagnosis the problem and make the repair in what seemed like no time. He showed me what the issue, told me what it was going to cost and after my OK, work was done right there. Fast forward to this yr. Again, another issue, in the summer and I called them, on a Saturday. And yes, they were able to come out and yes, they got the system up and running while there. Same as before, showed me damaged item - and it was damaged - told me what it would cost to fix there and then and after the OK, back up and running in no time. Additionally, the tech gave me some pointers on how to run the a/c in a 2-story house, as I'd never lived in one before and how to do some easy repairs myself and save the service call. That was much appreciated. And then in July of this yr, you guessed it, another issue, but this was a lot bigger. The same tech came out, diagnosed the issue and gave me my options. Even told me that the part to be replaced was still under warranty if I wanted to go that route. The warranty was not the way to go but replace the items that needed replacing. He gave me the quote and we scheduled the work. Service team was on time as scheduled and quickly replaced what needed to be replaced. This was all in the attic and they were so quiet as working from home can be an issue with workers in the house. One last thing - they didn't try to up-sell me anything. Bill Anderson replaced our AC in May. Everything was great at that time. The unit worked fine for about 3 months and then started acting up. I had no idea that these people have no after hours emergency services. This month it shut down completely three times already for absolutely no reason. Then it starts on its own sometime overnight or in the morning. And these Bill Anderson people can't be reached at night time. They can't figure out what is wrong with the AC because the unit is in "working condition" when they come. They are closed on weekends. Which sensible AC company doesn't offer after hour emergency services? The AC shutdown again this today. Their answering machine said that they were completely full and had no open appointments for the day, but that they would do their best to fit me in. Super impressed!! Daniel was very professional and really nice. It only took him a few minutes to locate the issue, which was the compressor. This business is family-owned and they DO IT RIGHT!!! My A/C went out yesterday and they went out of their way to get a technician out to my house when I would be off work. They worked around my schedule instead of making me work around theirs. The tech was very friendly, knowledgeable and ON TIME. He did not try and gouge me but instead correctly diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor and replaced it. Then the fan motor would not start. I was convinced it must have burned out when the electric surge took out the capacitor. The tech told me to hold on, got a garden hose and cooled the unit off and behold the fan motor turned on like a champ. He could have charged me for an unneeded fan motor but was HONEST and TOOK CARE OF THE CUSTOMER. I can't tell you how many other companies just come out and want to replace the unit no matter what is wrong with it. I will be a loyal customer with Bill Anderson Air from now on.
