My LG Refrigerator/Freezer stopped cooling on a Saturday afternoon. iplaced a call to Rodolpho owner of RJ Appliances. He told me he could be there first thing Monday morning and that he had the compressor and mother board on hand to replace mine. He even took care of the partial warranty with LG and did not charge me for what they covered (half the bill). He was here Monday morning and had it fixed in less that 3 hours. I needed my fridge tagged for removal--our MUD contracts with a trash company that will take tagged fridges. For a reasonable fee, Rodolfo loaded the fridge on his truck and hauled it off. Rodolfo came highly recommended by another local guy here in Katy who has a lot of positive feedback, and who apparently doesn't care to work on LG refrigerators. Rodolfo was an LG technician before striking out on his own, so he was able to tell me exactly what to expect as far as turn around times from LG. I called him late in the evening, and he stopped by the following morning to do the diagnostic on it - quickly figured out it was a bad compressor and freon dryer. My fridge still had a warranty on the sealed system which included both the freon dryer and compressor, so Rodolfo had me call in to start a parts request, and as soon as I was in the LG system he followed up by calling them so the parts would be sent out quickly. It took about 5 days for the parts to come in, exactly as he said (and I verified when they were shipped and received with LG) and Rodolfo came the next morning (on a Saturday) to get us back up and running. My father in law is a seasoned appliance technician, so I ran Rodolfo's quote by him - he said it was a very fair price, and the 1 yr guarantee he offered on his labor was good. He was easy to get in touch with by phone/text, and showed up when he said he would. I hope I never have to call him again, but if I ever find myself with any appliance problem that is beyond my abilities, I'd certainly feel confident in using him again.
