Just wanted to give a shout out to these guys. Vaughn came out on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend to take a look at our unit. It was still under a parts warranty. He diagnosed the problem and they sent workers out Tuesday morning after Memorial Day. They replaced the compressor, saved all of the refrigerant (added a little to top it off.) The workers were very nice, polite and efficient. They were right on the quote they gave us, did not try to upsell us. I think I have found a new, honest group of folks to maintain our equipment. I called this place to service my new unit. first the person show up late. and there was a small wire disconnected and he connected it les in 10 minutes and he charged me $ 114 for this small job called his boss he said they charged $ 94 for call out service and $ 20.00 for minor repair something he never mentioned when I called him i think with gas prices they want to get it from customers , I don not recommended them at all read more

I would like to share my experience with this HVAC company with the readers and leave the judgement to them. On June 11, 2021, a very hot day in Houston, and right in the middle of a complete roof replacement, my only AC unit went low on Freon. It had happened last year too and freon recharge had proved to be a temporary fix. I decided to postpone a more concrete solution (new AC system) to a later stage when this rip-off post-COVID market situation passes. I read some good reviews of Ashford Air on Nextdoor and decided to proceed with them even though I had other options. Unlike last year when another HVAC contractor started and finished refilling in three minutes while I was looking for my check book, this year I decided to be present during the operation. The freon capsule weight measurement was done in front of me before the operation. The weight measurement after the operation was done in a way that I couldn't see anything. Anyway, I was told that 3 lbs of freon had been injected into my AC system within 3-4 minutes. It is up to experts to determine first if it is feasible to inject at such a rate and second if it is right to do it so quickly even if it is theoretically feasible. It was only after the operation that I was told about a $94 service call fee on top of $240 freon cost. Normally, you expect contractors to communicate their fees before start of the work. I talked to business owner today and he offered service call fee refund while supporting his staff fully and asking me sarcastically to look for contractors with free service call in future. I just wanted to share my experience with others as my duty. I am not happy with how this case was handled and I do not recommend this business either. read more

I called last year and I'm just now getting around to writing my review. I installed an ecobee thermostat and couldn't get it wired right. I spent half the day on the phone with their tech support (who were very patient and helpful) and climbing around in the hot attic before calling Ashford Air. Vaughn showed up and discovered my thermostat wasn't wired right from years ago when the ac unit was replaced! He added the missing wired and got the thermostat working correctly in short order. Price was very reasonable. I am now getting the proper two stage cooling that I hadn't been getting for years and saving money! It's about time to have them back for annual check-up! read more

Worthless piece if work who ultimately doesn't understand what a refrigeration cycle is and certainly doesn't warranty his work. Scott Ashford, the owner, serviced our home back in 2016 to replace a factory warranteed Trane compressor - We still paid him $1500 for his services but after losing 6lbs ($700) worth of refrigerant in a year and a half he stated he doesn't plan to return because of the way I talked to him. We're not back on the playground here Scott - "this is your livelihood" as you put it... Own-up to the kinked fitting - that you installed - and fix the problem I paid you to fix right the first time. It's impossible to leave a leak as bad as ours was if your technician pulled a proper vacuum on the system - Scott Ashford doesn't know what he's doing. read more

After suffering through several meetings with a few incompetent and unethical aircon companies a neighbor recommended Ashford Air. They are professional, polite, hardworking and honest. I talked to two other companies which were voted the best aircon companies in Fort Bend and they both tried to tell me I needed $30k worth of equipment to replace my 3 aircon units (two of which work just fine). I ended up calling Ashford Air instead after several neighbors recommended them - Ashford Air repaired my aircon for about half of what other companies had quoted us. They also squeezed me in right away when they found out we had no cool air upstairs. They did not try to sell me any additional products although I asked if I should just go ahead and buy a heater right away (Scott advised me not to since our current one has a lot of life in it). I am so relieved to have found a company that is honest - I won't go anywhere else for as long as Ashford Air is around. read more
