Edit: The VP of marketing assisted in providing the warranty for the product after only a few days after posting the below review. I do appreciate the right thing was done in this case, however I feel like the default should be to assist the customer whenever a defective product is sold. The worst customer service experience of my life! I bought an avionics cooling fan which was defective from the manufacturer. Called to try to get a replacement, and was told they couldn't do anything and to contact the manufacturer. They never tried to assist in getting the part replaced, and absolutely refused to be helpful in anyway in getting the issue resolved. Ultimately the manufacturer refused to deal with me directly and insisted on me going back to Aircraft Spruce to return the part who still refuses to help. They are a big company and I'm sure they can monitor each and every transaction, so when alerted of my situation, they reached out to the vender, Datcon which they have been having issues with. I placed an order on April 29th 2025 with the delivery date of 7-10 business days. 2 weeks went by and I emailed and they said they were out of stock and I would be getting the item in 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks go by and I call them and they said another week. I asked since I have been inconvenienced, could they do expedited shipping. They said no that I would have to pay for that. Absolutely terrible customer service experience. I spoke with multiple representatives who clearly had no knowledge of the EDM-730--a product they actually sell. After finally reaching a tech rep who tried to be helpful, the wrong part was still ordered--twice. On top of that, I was charged twice and still didn't receive all the necessary components. When I escalated the issue to upper management, I was met with indifference and excuses. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, they tried to justify their lack of product knowledge. Getting into aviation is already hard and expensive enough so be choosy who you buy your parts from. You could end up wasting time, money, and effort just trying to get what your aircraft actually needs. Torso jerks! This guy "Agar" was angry with me for asking him what the prices of things were, told me to go look it up on line. When I asked him why things weren't priced, he said because prices change all the time and he does r have time to know the prices, and when I asked him for a priced he game me between 50 to 200 dollars approximately on most things, or more. If you get something you have to return, due to defects, etc. Prepare for an ordeal. I got a defective part, sent it back, but no refund. I had to reverse the charge through my credit card. Oh they don't like that. The next order I placed they put a pending charge on my card, but would never ship it. So I cancelled the order, the pending charge just went away. Done with them. They have a lot of items, but lately the prices have gone way up. More so than inflation. People who defend them are thinking of the old ACS. This is a new operation now. Be leery. read more

This happened earlier this year. I ordered a few minor parts for my annual. I got a confirmation that my package was delivered. So I went outside and looked around and found nothing. I checked the confirmation again and noticed something were. It said my package was received at the loading dock. I live in a normal house... I then noticed they shipped my package to a nearby Walmart. Strange so I go to the store. At first the Walmart customer support guy looked at me like I had two heads saying "We don't offer any shipping services." Took me a while to get through to him it was an accident. I wait for a manager and he is unable to find my package. Took about an hour and a half. I contact support and they give me a delivery confirmation and basically tell me to get lost. They blamed me for putting in Walmart's address even though this is my fourth (and last) order from Aircraft Spruce and I used the saved address feature. Then tell me if a valid address is entered and successfully delivered there is nothing they can do. They tell me they have no control of their own website. I am 100% sure there is no way I could have put Walmart's address in by mistake. At that point I had not shopped there is 5 months. So there is zero reason I would even have their address. My guess is their address auto correction service freaked out. So support is useless and will blame you for their mistakes. Here are a couple of quotes from their support rep. "I spoke with my logistics Manager and unfortunately because this was ordered online and the address was a valid address, UPS won't be able to issue a lost package, as we shipped this correctly based on the information provided." "Just so you are aware, Aircraft Spruce does not have access to our customers online accounts or order maintenance. All orders that come from the website are taken as is unless the address is not an actual address." I went back to Walmart with the delivery confirmation. Waited an hour for a manager again and then they looked for my package for about 2 hours and did find it. Aircraft Spruce lost my business after I spent thousands with them. If they would have accepted blame for their screw up I would have stayed a customer. But putting the blame on me is unacceptable. This was a small order just some brake pads and grease seals. But it could have been an expensive part and now knowing they won't help you make ordering from them too risky. read more

Order a part that wasn't in stock in the AK warehouse and was told I had to wait for it to be restocked and was offered the option to ship from another warehouse for $116 and agreed to that. When the order was replaced the shipping came out to over $250 and when I called to ask if there was a way to cancel the order they said no. Customer service needs to be more transparent before charging over double what was quoted for something. Will not be ordering from here again. read more

Updating review after a rep reached out to reship my parts overnight. Thank you Order was placed for 20 items. This order was split into two shipments. Shipment for box 1 containing 15 items arrived without issue. Box #2 with 5 items does not arrive and I receive an email from UPS stating "seller requested return of package." I call Aircraft Spruce cust service to find out what's going on, and I'm told that UPS is being 'wonky' lately and that the box is coming back and that i'm going to be charged the shipping on it for ~$20. UPS is their hired delivery service and if the two of them can't get a package to the customer they expect the customer to pay for this nonsense all the while waiting... read more

True, they have a lot of stuff, and true, often what we need that is not available elsewhere. HOWEVER; they are horrible with refunds and credits. They NEVER do it the first 3 times. Always takes several calls to get credited for parts that have been returned. The call that "floating your dough". Banks do it for a living; you or i would be arrested. Chapter....uhh, 2,3,4.10 ? They continue to suffer from horrible customer service. This time an AOG part was delayed 7 days with no notification because of THEIR mistake. THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm done, never again, fini, adios muchacho. I just spent 20 minutes talking to their PR specialist; she called me, to resolve our differences. Nice conversation, all resolved, everyone friends......until she sent me to accounting to clear up a double credit they had issued 6 months ago without anyone being notified. Still no problem until they wanted to charge me $3 for a "processing" fee....to process the correction to THEIR mistakes. Done ....i can buy parts at 40 other places. Chapter..pick a number; After 21 months....that is correct.....i now get a bill for the credit the issued last year. Do they ever stop screwing up? I placed an order for a Bose Proflight 2 headset at Oshkosh this year. They had just sold the last set in stock, so they promised to ship me one that would arrive by the time I flew home that Friday. The first issue was that after we had agreed on a price and I paid in full I got a call a few hours later saying they needed to charge me an additional $50 to cover their costs. I was surprised by this because we had already discussed everything and my receipt showed the correct item and shipping included. However, I was still charged additional money for the same item. Next, the item never arrived at my house. I was leaving on a long trip to span 2 months and needed the headset about a week after arriving home from Osh. I called and was told the headset was on its way and they are sorry for the delay. After I left for my trip I called and emailed to find out they had shipped my headset to another random address on the other side of the country because I have a similar name to another customer. That is why my headset was in Minnesota rather than Texas. I asked to cancel my order and be refunded for the full amount since I have still not received the item in the promised deadline. I was told that would need to be approved with management but it would happen quickly. Now we are three weeks later and I am still missing over $1,000 that I spent on an item I never received. I have called and been told again the refund would be coming, but they had to recover the headset before the refund could be processed. How can my money be held up for a mistake I did not make on a return where I never even received the item in question? I have no idea where it is and cannot be held responsible for the company's mistake. I still have not received my refund, and no one from Aircraft Spruce has done anything to attempt to make this series of customer service blunders right. read more

I placed an order for $3000 in materials in February and requested "Ship Complete". In May I received a notice that all but 2 small items were in stock, and they could ship those when they came in. After another 2 months, they finally shipped the majority of my order. There is NO reason that it should take 2 months to fill an "in stock" order! After another month one of the 4 boxes arrived damaged, and with no paperwork-nothing for me to sign, no packing list, just a damaged box. A week later another of the boxes arrived, also with no packing list. During this long ordeal I contacted Aircraft Spruce numerous times, and while Bernadette was always pleasant, she was not able to help in any meaningful way with my order making statements like "I did something that will hopefully get management's attention"....... My repeated requests for "Management's" contact information were ignored. After seeing that my replacement order had been cancelled for some unknown reason, I have given up hope of ever seeing the remainder of my order. I wish I had check the A.S.S. reviews PRIOR to placing my order. I fell for the fancy catalog, and full page ads, oh, and one prior successful order years ago. read more

After waiting over a week with no email contact or tracking number I called their main # It turns out they claim I had bounced a check with them over 11 years ago and were holding my funds. The order I had placed was pre-paid from payday and to be shipped to my shop address this be only been at for 3 years. But they still held funds over and above the amount claimed from the NSF check. They also broke California LAW by holding these funds as statute of limitations on a noun HED check in CA is 3yrs Did I bouncy a check with them, no not to my knowledge. It has been 11yrs and today Aircraft Spruce stole $200 until I demanded under CA law it be returned or I would file changes of theft against them. Their customer service is awful. If you write a bad review on a product, they will just not post it on their site. They will make returning defective items harder than you can imagine and may even try to blame it on you (I returned a rivet gun that was leaking air the second I put pressure to it only to receive an identical one that was doing the same thing). It took two months to get it replaced and they tried to make me pay for all the shipping. If you have a question about an order you have already placed, good luck. Most of the time they won't even email you back, and some employees "don't take phone calls. AVOID this company. They suck. read more

I've recently created an account and ordered about 50 items from these guys. 8 of these items have taken over a month to receive. I keep getting the run around on waiting for the inventory to come in and or we will check on this for you with no follow up. Needless to say I have cancelled a couple of orders and will be going elsewhere anytime I can. I purchased an Artex ELT 345. Upon opening the package I realized the ELT was activated and sending out the distress signal. I tried to turn it off but the switch was defective. Upon further inspection the foam packaging that the unit came in was pushing up against the switch and caused it to fail. I called Aircraft Spruce to let them know I received a defective part. They told me too bad I had to deal with the manufacturer. This caused my airplane to be grounded an additional 2 weeks. After reading through these reviews it was very clear my horrible experience was not unusual. I would highly recommend using a different outfit. read more

Everything has been shipped fast and correctly. I only live about 45 minutes from a similar aviation sales location, but they don't carry half the stuff I can get here online. I have gotten a very nice tow bar, oil, several panel hole covers, and recently ordered a new Comm Radio for my plane with wiring harness. I am sure I have ordered other stuff, just don't want to look at the bills today (cloudy and I can't fly to make myself feel better about all the money that goes out). I would highly recommend them for any aviation needs. I will need tires and a few other things I am sure soon and when that time comes I will start shopping here. I have been using Aircraft Spruce for many years. Normally great customer service. But sometimes it fails, and nobody in the office seems to care or try to correct the problem. Poor communication as the problem got worse, and the delays got longer. Today I got an email requesting that I review my order. I would be glad to, but my order has not arrived yet. Maybe it will be here next week? Airplane is AOG awaiting this headliner. When I placed the order, it showed this item "In Stock" in GA. Order was placed on 11/10/18, 8 weeks ago. December 26th, got an email the order would ship that day....but it didn't leave Atlanta until the 28th. Then they shipped it the slowest way possible. Ok, so nobody is going to understand this review except pilots and- especially- pilots who like to work on their own airplanes. But somebody has to do it, so here goes: Where else can you buy a bag of 400 #8 machine screws, a box of REM-28E spark plugs, a cool jacket, some insanely strong glue, and a new intercom, all in the same building? This place rocks. The staff is nice, the place has an old feel to it, with a bunch of geezers yellin' for Dzus fasteners and a "can of hundred weight!" Easily the best part of Aircraft Spruce West is the fact that you can fly in to Corona airport (KAJO), get a good, greasy bite at the airport cafe, fuel up with the cheapest fuel this side of Big Bear, and then catch a FREE shuttle over to Aircraft Spruce. They always have the parts you need in stock, and are fantastic for finding really obscure things too (like a throttle rod for a 1976 Great Lakes biplane). Do yourself a favor and come geek out at Aircraft Spruce with all the gear-heads, geezers and grease monkeys. Like the smell 0f 100LL and the sound of a radial engine, there are few better things. read more

I ordered two elevator tips for my Cessna 172. They arrived and were clearly not matching parts. One was nearly 1/4 inch longer than the other. Although the part numbers were correct for the aircraft one side was a very bad fit, so bad in fact the leading edge would strike the the stabilizer if installed. The parts were made by Knots 2U so I called them and was told that their mold was warped. Following Aircraft Spruces return policy they were returned in the original packaging and were not painted or installed. I expected a prompt refund. Nope! It took multiple phone calls, threats to dispute with my credit card company and finally after nearly two months of frustration I got my refund. It seems that Aircraft Spruce hates to refund money and will try to make it difficult. One of their customer service reps told me that if I disputed the charge they would not sell to me again, what a joke! I never plan to buy from them again after this experience. Aircraft Spruce fails to realize that they do not have a single product that I can't get somewhere else. Sorry guys, you messed up by selling low quality products and holding my money hostage for so long. Update: I was contacted by phone and they were more concerned over this review than making things right. Total time from receiving the defective parts to refund was 38 days. read more

I inadvertantly ordered 2 of a crimp tool. I needed to return it however for some reason Aircraft spruce online system will not allow this. I called customer service order line and was rudely denied and she refered me to a return policy. This is a non consumable product that has not even been opened from the box since there was 2 why would I need to open box #2. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars tha with Aircraft Spruce over the years and to experience this was rather suprising. They didnt even care. Aircraft Spruce has certainly gone downhill. After back and forth with customer service, got a store credit applied to my account, made an order to use the credit. They did not apply the credit to order instead charged total to my credit card , now want to give me another store credit. SCAM? What was supposed to be a $200 refund is now $400 expense. I ordered from Spruce on a Tuesday and was notified by their website that my supplies would be delivered on Friday. Then I found that my order would in fact not be delivered until the following Monday. This is due to the fact that I requested items to be sent from Georgia but instead they went from Illinois delaying my order. I understand shipping problems arise but don't guarantee me something you can't deliver. read more

I used to believe the service here was very good. My latest opinion is not so much. I ordered and received 4 Superior Cylinder sets for a C-172. When my mechanic began preparing them for installation, one set had a mis-manufactured oil control ring. I was passed around customer service like a bong at a frat party, all promised to get back to me. I'm still waiting. This is after being on hold for near 30 mins. each time I called. Then they told me I also had to return the gift in order to get the credit. I returned the gift within the 30 day period on 1-30-31 . Camille at Aircraft Spruce sent me an email stating that she received both the headphones and the gift. I returned it on !-31-2022 and today is 2-09-2022. I have been on hold with no resolution. I am disputing on my credit card. Also purchased a flashlight that does not work and is defective. I think there is some sort of quality problem.
