We subscribe to the yearly maintenance plan its a great deal with spring check for air conditioning and fall for heater plus other perks. Charlie was professional. He explained what he was doing. He tried hard to get a sensor to work, but he did replace with a new one.

Charlie was absolutely fantastic! He arrived right on time, was incredibly professional, and clearly knew his stuff when it came to our HVAC system. We had an incredibly complex problem he diagnosed, explained everything thoroughly, and advocated for us with the manufacturer resulting in us getting a new unit under warranty. Alton was excellent; installation team was great. Everything went exactly as planned. However, Office management was terrible. Phone number goes to a call center and no one calls back. No way to reach the billing department. I thought payment was due once inspection was passed. That was my mistake. But ONE WEEK after installation, I get multiple certified letters saying there is a lien on my house. Seriously? I never had a single conversation with anyone in the billing department. I called Alton, he sent me the link to pay, and payment was made - all done in less than 30 minutes. Not sure what is going on in the office but it' ruined my impression of the company. Too bad given the rest of the experience was top notch. read more

I took advantage of AirServ's discounted spring HVAC checkups to look over the HVAC system in a house I recently moved into. It wasn't hot yet, and the AC wasn't being used, or if so barely at all. Everything checked out fine, but the tech said my system was a little low on refrigerant. He suggested there could be a leak, but he could top it off and we could watch it to see if there was a problem when summer rolled around. I said sure, he topped it off, I paid the bill. Everything seemed fine until it got hot out. My AC would work fine all night/evening, but would kick off by noon when the temps got hot. I called them back to come and look at it. I got a different tech the second time who was very nice and walked me through his diagnoses. Everything looked like it was working as expected, except the compressor was hitting it's high pressure limit switch. His gauges would show the pressure increasing when the system came on, and then eventually get too high and shut off. He suggested we would need to replace the compressor at a minimum, or consider having the entire system replaced to get all new warranty. They sent out the "salesman" the same day to walk me through the costs of replacement. I got the quote, and told the salesman I wanted to get a second opinion before moving forward. I then went to research the cause of high head pressure in an HVAC system. My research said that the most likely cause of high head pressure was too much refrigerant in the system. This set off some alarm bells, since the previous tech had added refrigerant on his first call out. I called another service company to come out and check the system, and he immediately identified the issue as too much refrigerant. He hooked up his gauges and temperature sensors and began to fix the problem. Since we got the proper amount in the system, it has been running completely perfectly. Either AirServ's technician was incompetent, or they are working together break a working system and convince customers to replace them. I'm pretty upset, as they seemed genuinely nice. I'm super glad I got a second opinion and saved myself over $7000. read more

I called Air Services this week.The man that put my unit was out of town working so Air Service got good marks on their reviews I wouldn't just have anyone here, I go by reviews.The man Eric was very courteous and explained the problem in detail.The bad thing is my havoc man called on wednesday.He asked me what the problem was and I told him that it was 6.5 low on freon.He then asked me how much was the freon.I said the invoice says 74.95 and then below it it says 69.95 p/ pound.My havoc man said it should have been 30.00 a pound or less.My havoc man charges 25.00 p/pound.That is a overcharge of 39.95.When people cheat others it infuriates me.I emailed air services to ask why so much for the freon but they won't. respond to my email .So the next thing is a phone call.I want an explanation. read more

Got a "tune up" on our furnace on 11/04/2022. It had no issues, just utilized $50 rebate from CU. Tech was on time, but upon seeing the unit was in the attic, like many are, he asked how he'd access it, since he had not brought a ladder. Offered ours but he chose to leave and have us rescheduled for 11/10/2022, same guy, no ladder, used ours (?) - said it was fine, nothing needed attention. Next morning I woke up to 2" of water flooding laundry area, where attic access is that had soaked bottom of our washer, the drywall in room & a 7' oak storage cabinet next to washer. The discharge hose on our washer next to attic door and was partially out of the drain & turned, causing water to flow onto floor instead when I'd used washer that night. After 4 hrs of clean-up the cabinet, drywall & vinyl floor in room (which is rolled laminate spanning laundry & kitchen & was just installed in August) were ruined, office was closed when we finished so were going to call Monday, but the next night the furnace quit completely. Since AireServ was closed & wouldn't answer "emergency" call #, we had the owner of J&J Affordable Services,LLC a local HVAC company we usually always call to do any repairs or maintenance on our house, work us in between back to back calls since it was well below freezing. He came within the hour, cleaned flame sensor & changed dirty filter, which should've been done during the tuneup, he had it running when he left but only had a few min to test it & it failed again soon after he left. I contacted AireServ that Monday, told them all the issues we had & requested a manager call me back, spoke with Lindam, who was polite, but offered no resolution and the store manager/owner hasn't contacted me despite knowing we were w/out any heat & had been since Friday with temps down to 12 degrees. Still no word from him now, seems they would let their customer's freeze to death from their techs shoddy work before they'd bother with a phone call back. That evening our friend came back again, and upon closer inspection he found that the gas igniter tip had been broken in half, it was put back in place and screwed in, but the several broken tip pieces were on the attic floor right under it. which made it clear the tech had done it, JJ said he's likely pulled it out & tried to clean it thinking it was the flame sensor then broke it since they can't be handled & tried to hide his error. Soonest he could get a new one was Tuesday 11/22/22, which meant we'd have no heat for at least 10 days during the cold snap, so I contacted Aire Serv a second time after he left in hopes they could get a new one sooner & because it was their responsibility to fix what their technician broke. 10 hrs later they sent a different tech, who, like the 1st tech, arrived w/o a ladder & refused ours, but he had an 8' fold out on his truck which since we have 8' ceilings & a room to small to possibly fold it out in was ridiculous, but he wouldn't listen to me & made a huge production out of dragging it & a ton of mud, leaves & other debris into the house where he repeatedly trying to fold it out in a space any idiot could see was way too tiny to use a ladder that size & type but he was determined to try to make me feel stupid. I wanted to point out his stupidity instead but offered to go buy a ladder that would work several times, but he said he couldn't wait, told me he'd call the office to let them know to reschedule me. I was nearly in tears as he was leaving & as he was packing up I showed him the old igniter, asked him to please check to see if they had one in stock or could get one sooner even if I had to buy it & have JJ do it, but he just looked at it and scoffed saying it was old, discontinued & the aftermarket replacement part was "a pain in the @! to install", I got more upset & said "look, your company sent a tech who broke mY furnace, tried to hide it & also caused the washer to flood half our house which did at LEAST $1k worth of damage, you at least need to fix the furnace so we don't freeze to death" then showed him the pics I'd pulled up on my pc of the water damage & the broken part & he replied "there's no way my guy did that" stripped of his pink booties, threw them sat my feet & went to storm out. I stopped him, tears flowing & told him it was supposed to get to 10 degrees over the weekend, I have congestive heart failure, severe breathing issues & was already very sick & worried it was pneumonia from being w/o heat for over a week now in the freezing cold & pleaded w him for help. He looked at the little 10 yo space heater beside me, set to 75 but the room temp was only 60 while running nonstop all day on high, looked at me with a smirk on his face & said "hey, at least you have this heater" then walked out. Jeff from J&J came @ 10pm last Sunday night with an igniter he took from a used furnace he'd found for sale & got our furnace running like new w/in 10m.
