Chef Gonzalo made us an almond cake with mixed berries and whipped cream frosting, and it was absolutely incredible. He even incorporated marzipan into the batter--yet the cake still came out so light and fluffy! The flavor was rich, subtle, and totally unforgettable. The decoration was simple, elegant, and exactly what we hoped for. I provided the flowers I wanted, and Chef Gonzalo arranged them beautifully. Guests at our party couldn't stop talking about the cake! Even people who usually don't like cake came up to say how amazing it was. It truly became the highlight of the evening. If you're looking for a bakery that puts care, creativity, and flavor into every bite--this is it. Highly recommend!

They let us sampled different kind of cream that they use for their cake so we know the sweetness level. After tasting their delicious strawberry cupcake and vanilla cheesecake we ordered a bday cake from them. Hopefully it will turn out good. Their pastry is also good. Love the decor and cozy vibe of the baked shop. We just moved to the area so we will def explore the area more.

It just so happens that my brother in law told me to stop in San Luis Obispo during my pacific coast highway roadtrip, told me it was a really cute area he thought I would love. Little did he know at the time, there is a coffee shop, the BEST coffee shop in San Luis Obispo that's called Scout coffee and Scout is the name of my brother in law's daughter AKA my niece so this was fate. Fate I tell you. I came here later in the day on Saturday right before closing, the shop is just adorable, really sweet tables outside on the street and some seating inside as well. They had some delicious looking pastries in the window and they had merch. Yes I came for the coffee, sure but I came for the Scout merch for my niece when she grows up and wants to drink coffee out of a mug and thinks it's just the coolest thing that her Aunt went to California for the sole purpose of buying her this mug, or something like that. They had mugs alright, $18 a pop. They had some t-shirts too that were PRICEY and sweatshirts that were even pricier. It was a bummer because they didn't have a lot of size options and when I asked the staff if they had more in the back they were not the friendliest bunch. Anyways, got two Scout coffee mugs and a Scout coffee travel sticker and of course a coffee. It was late so I had a decaf americano and went on my way. I came back the next morning for a regular drip coffee and the place was busy! This time, the guy helping me behind the counter was an absolute sweetheart. We made some small talk and it put a better taste in my mouth from my experience with the staff the day before. They don't use sleeves here and I LOVE THAT. I hate sleeves on coffee cups I really and truly do. They tied a napkin around instead and I've never seen that before. The coffee was delish, love the name of the shop, love the merchandise.

Learned that they offer milkshakes as their frozen drinks so ordered a coffee flavor with no whip cream. It was $8 for a regular size so a bit pricey for sure. It was good, creamy, cold and I always appreciate smooth milkshakes. I wish it was a stronger coffee flavor and the reason for the 3 and not 4 stars. Friendly staff, efficient in how you order and receive your drink and yes...they are busy and it takes a tad of waiting for your order. Dog friendly patio out front.

They have chicken shack & smokehouse stand, corn toaster stand, ice cream & sweets shop, and a main shop (filled with fresh produce, local honey, jams, snacks, pies-fresh and frozen, home gifts). Plus they offer hayrides rides and feeding farm animals. Public restrooms are not limited to paying customers which is always nice. True confession, we stopped here to use the restrooms. I've never been here. The game plan was to head back onto the road quickly after our break. But ya, that didn't happen. I got TRAPPED. My interest was peaked. I HAD to browse every inch of this place. Luved it!! The chicken shack stand sells BBQ and local crafted hard ciders. Corn roasters stand sells fresh roasted corn on the cob. Mmm. I bought one, delicious!! The ice cream& sweets shop sells taffy by the weight, packages of fudge and candies, and coffee. Take note though they do NOT offer ice cream samples. Don't even bother asking for the exception, they have signs stating no samples. The main shop had a dizzying amount of inventory. I picked up some items for purchase but bailed out of the line since there was no movement in the line due to multiple line cutters. I wasn't the only one that bailed out. Several others did as well versus losing our cool and spiraling into potential tourist trap rage. Chaotic checkout line. My suggestion is to move the pie display stand and make a roped line maze. And don't forget to check out the barnyard animals. Lettuce can be purchased to feed the animals. The animals are behind a fence and include goats, Abby the Jersey cow, donkey, chickens, alpacas, and that's to name a few.
