We ordered the white cake with raspberry filling and chocolate ganache chocolate cake. The fondant is the best I have ever tasted. It was soft and was easy to eat. Most fondants are hard and chewy. We loved our wedding cake so much, I got it for my husbands birthday 3 month later. Everyone who attended our wedding raves about how delicious our cake was. Amy did such a great job with our wedding cake! We ended up with a 3 tier cake and adding some cupcakes for our big day. We booked her almost a year before the wedding and we checked in once or twice. She showed up the day of the wedding with a gorgeous naked cake exactly as I described ("naked, but not too naked, you know?"). She nailed it. Long overdue post but I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I wrote this post on 04/25/14 but forgot to post it. Found it on my phone in the "NotePad" app. I was married on 02/22/14. My wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL! I decided to go with the Cakery after my chef recommended them. Out of all my wedding vendor appointments, this was by far my favorite. They had a great variety to choose from. Definitely not your average choices. After tasting the many different selections, we decided to go with 2 different flavors: white cake with a raspberry marmalade and salted caramel buttercream, as well as devil's food cake with the white cake with raspberry marmalade and salted caramel cream filling was a play on peanut butter and jelly. Since it was so different and tasted exactly like it, we thought it would be perfect for us and our guests. The devil's food cake was the other choice for obvious reasons: we wanted to cater to chocolate lovers! As far as the artistry on the cake, we chose one of their designs that was classic. We chose the Dogwoods cake. It is featured in their cake gallery online. It is simply beautiful! 3 layers of off-white buttercream frosting, with cascading peach-colored handcrafted flowers and blue berries. It was so pretty! When I walked into my venue, they showcased the wedding cake in the center of the dance floor for all to admire as they walked to their seats. I also paid for lighting, with a pinspot on the cake which added a dramatic spotlight. It was so worth it. I had a gelato bar so everyone was able to enjoy their cake with "ice cream"! I first met Lonielle at a bridal fair where, after having just one sample, I knew that not only was she the one for us, but also that I'd just eaten the best cake EVER (and I've eaten a lot of cake in 64 years!). Our cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. Working with Lonielle was so easy and fun. She is great about responding right away to phone calls or emails, and is a true delight. I had seen a "sunset" cake on her website, and together we took that vision and made it even more beautiful, with blue skies adding to the colors and our theme of "All My Tomorrows." We had a small, two-layer cake: one layer was devil's food with dark chocolate granache, and the other layer was white cake with raspberry cream cheese filling. Even cold leftovers (and I made sure they gave me a lot) were still incredibly delicious. When we walked into our venue and saw Lonielle's creation, it was magical.
