Wow, I am so impressed by how beautiful this store is. They had so much yumminess to choose from, it was hard to control ourselves. Service was friendly and they were extremely patient with us. The Turkish delights were all yummy and not too sweet. It was our first time having them. We also go baklava, which was good but on the sweeter side. This place is a gem and I think everyone should visit if ever in SLO!

Paige was so attentive and kind. My hubby and I got a few pieces to enjoy while walking around. They have sitting areas for you to enjoy tea and yummy Baklava. Must try!

Very beautiful shop with free samples! Definitely try the treats before you buy because they're very unique. Staff was very helpful. The decor is stunning, I wish I had taken a photo. My only qualm is the price on some things was a little high.. $24 for a small bar of Dubai chocolate was insane.

This place was recommended to me on my vacation to SLO. The Turkish coffee was incredibly flavorful. Rich, bold, and perfectly brewed with that authentic depth you hope for. It had a smooth finish and was the perfect pick me up. The Turkish delights were soft, fresh, and full of flavor, and the baklava was absolutely delicious! Super flaky, sweet, and layered with just the right amount of syrup and nuts. Everything tasted high quality and thoughtfully made. The service was great as well. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. I definitely recommend stopping by and giving it a try if you're in the area.

I'm obsessed! The quality of the sweet treats, drinks, and hospitality is unmatched. The decorations are what draw you in, the hospitality is what makes you feel welcomed, and the delicious delights are what make you come back. Loved our experience here!

I have been to their Santa Barbara location. I was not aware that they have another location. I am glad that I found this hidden gem. I had a great experience in this location too. For service, I would say that staff are nice and friendly. They answered all of our questions and made suggestions to what to order. For food, I would say Baklava was amazing. I really enjoyed the Baklava. It was so flavorful and it tasted exactly like the ones I had in Türkiye. We also ordered Turkish coffee and tea. Coffee and tea were so good. It was perfect drink for a late afternoon. For ambiance, I can certainly say this store is really nice decorated and well maintained. Store is very clean. They have really nice decorations, and decorative items for sale. They also have coffee cups, accessories available for purchase.

What a nice surprise this ended up being. On top of the decadent pastries, starting with the pistachio roll that I had to try, I could've spent all day in here, trying samples. That being said, you can sample as many things as you want. I end up buying some of the pistachio treats as well as some Turkish coffee. They were incredibly friendly in here and really just wanted to help out. Also check out the decorations in here. It's a very cool spot.

I finally tried real Turkish Delight and...yep, I totally get why Edmund sold out his siblings for it. (Forgive the Narnia reference, but it had to be said.) Lokum offers fresh, handmade Turkish Delight in in a cafe type of setting. Sold by the slice, you can build your own box similar to how you would in a chocolate or candy shop. There are so many different goodies to choose from not only traditional Turkish Delights but also various flavors of baklavas, which we were more than happy to indulge in. Our favorites from the baklavas included the chocolate and walnut, while for Turkish Delights, we really enjoyed the Kadaif Covered Pistachio Cream and Walnut and Fig Covered ones. My only regret was not realizing after we paid, we had gotten so excited over our order that we totally skipped over the original Turkish Delights, which warrants a small facepalm. That just means I'll have to return to try them next time I'm in the area! Service was friendly and patient, allowing for small samples and taking their time to explain their different flavors and recommendations. I wish we had a Lokum down in SoCal but it's great to see that there are a few locations to visit when up in NorCal.

Knowing I was coming to town and love a good coffee, I quickly fixated on Lokum--a big fan of Turkish delights, it seemed like a natural fit. Firstly, it's gorgeous inside. You can get lost in the various chandeliers and other lighting fixtures. The various culinary offerings are their own bejeweled displays. The Turkish delights are fantastic. Because it was so late in the day, I did not get a coffee and am kicking myself now because it's not like I live in the area! Downsides are thus: service is not personable, and I went mostly ignored. It's very warm inside and they could benefit from a fan or two to keep some air moving. The Turkish delights are expensive--worth it, but I couldn't make it a regular stop if I were a local. I will be back to try the coffee next time in SLO though. Maybe.

I'm not 100% sure if I actually like Turkish delight. I definitely think Narnia overhyped it for me! But I was excited to try the Turkish coffee. I ordered the Ottoman style, which had some different flavor notes, and it sounded interesting. The woman behind the counter said that I could sit anywhere and she would bring it out to me. The coffee comes with a small Turkish delight and a glass of water. It was beautifully served on a tray. I think there is an option to get the coffee sweetened, but I went for it without that. The coffee was just amazing. My first experience with it, and I immediately went to buy one of the cannisters they sell to make it myself! This is a cute little place - I could see it would be fun to hang out and drink more Turkish coffee. The woman working there was very pleasant and helpful.

What a nice fancy spot to have a sweet treat after dinner! It's a little on the pricey end but we got to try a little sample of the Turkish delights prior to buying. We also had sipping chocolate which was okay, but the main star of the show definitely is the baklava and Turkish delights. Service is friendly and the ambiance is lovely as well

The first time I visited a Lokum venue was in Santa Barbara and I was absolutely blown away by the fantastic colors and decor. But even more incredible was the variety of desserts, all extremely unique. The one in San Luis Obispo is a bit smaller but just as gorgeous as the Santa Barbara location. The service is always fast and helpful. What I really like about this place is they offer trial samples since the variety can be so unique and the desserts are often things you may have never tried before. The best way to pair them is with a Turkish coffee, no question about it. One of my favorites was a pistachio dessert, though I can't think of the name right now. If you are in SLO you absolutely have to visit this spot. It is definitely on the pricey side, with each cup being between $3-$4 per piece, but it is well worth it.

4/29/25 Todays options for my daughter

Okay, I am starting to write like a broken record. Another must visit for my daughter when in SLO. Actually, we just visited your other "sister/cousin" location Troya in Monterey, CA. Quality/Quantity - Of the highest quality, and the prices reflect it. My daughter is a huge fan of Turkish Delights, not just this company but the treats. We also buy them in Alameda, CA, but the quality here is so much better. Again, the prices reflect it. I can not name all the items she got, see picture. I actually got some for myself this time. But of course, I did not listen to my daughter as my choices were NOT as good as hers. Their #1 seller is the Rose Petal Pistachio Pomegranate. They also have a coffee shop in the back. Too bad I have already had a few cups, plus it is time to hit the wineries. Atmosphere - Cool, clean, and a very organized shop; see pictures. Love the tables, see pictures. The chairs could have been of better quality though. It didn't really match. So many "delights" and things for my wife and daughter to buy. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 9pm. Street metered parking, or if you do not mind a walk, there is free residential parking a few blocks away. Service - Happiness policy, one of these days I am tempted to put it to the test with a crazy request, lol. See picture. Overall good, she gave my daughter a few samples before she went on her usual buying spree. Price - $17, expensive but worth it. That is the price for quality. This is extremely low for my daughter, but if you are following, we have been eating, snacking, and drinking excessively on this amazing trip! Owner Comment - Congrats on your continued success with all your businesses, including this one which opened in 2021. 2015 Turkish import store. 2018 Troya, Monterey location. 2020 Santa Barbara location. 2021 SLO location.

It's tucked away on a side street and if you aren't looking for it, you might miss it. Loved all the design elements, many of which must be original to when the building was first built. Almost throws you back in time. There were 4 cookie choices and were even displayed by the window facing the street but we completely missed seeing them when we walked up. I believe there were 8 ice cream flavors to choose from as well. I was in the mood for a chewy warm cookie and my husband, ice cream. I got a large, thin, oatmeal cookie and he chose strawberry cheesecake ice cream. We enjoyed them both as we continued walking downtown. The cookie was the perfect amount of chewiness and not crumbly. Despot it being thin, there was a perfect balance of the brown sugar and oatmeal flavor in every bite. Did not miss having chocolate chips or raisins in it either. I wish I had bought two!!! The ice cream was very creamy and a nice subtle cheesecake flavor. The strawberry flavor came from actual pieces of strawberries on the ice cream. The service was pleasant and the ambiance was calm. Perfect way to top off the evening stroll!
