The…read moretechnicians were always on time and courteous and our air conditioners generally ran and performed well. Then the compressor in one of our 9-year-old condensers failed. Two technicians from other companies noticed the condensation bulb in the air handler was removed and said that was a big no-no that could have contributed to the unit failing. (I'm not saying it did since there's no way to know but it was certainly disturbing to hear that). When I asked SFD about this, they they either never noticed it or just missed it and that it wasn't that big of a deal. That was a little disappointing to hear because we paid hundreds of dollars for their bi-annual maintenance plan and they had just inspected the units although this time they sent a less experienced tech. They also gave us conflicting information about whether the other (working) air handler needed to be cleaned or not. I liked these guys a lot and trusted them but ultimately there were too many red flags and so they lost our business.

I spent a fortune having my place totally cleaned! Rugs, curtains, everything!!! After spending all that time and money getting my place somewhat clean we hired FL AC to come clean my ducts. That were filled with dust, mold, asbestos and possible lead? Year built 1974!!! This FL AC co came in knowing this and they knew my dusts had dust and unknown chemicals in it. Their job was to close off the other side of the ac duct so it doesn't blow these chemicals into the unit. The other side of my ducts went right into my bedroom too. Since I have developed breathing probs due to all this dust from MCI windows in Delray I had to leave the condo until they completed the job. When I came back into my place my throat totally closed up. I couldn't breathe. This co was supposed to cover and close up that vent and only allow the dirt and debris from my ducts to go back into their cleaning machine they used. Not have it blown out the other side of my vent where all this debris ended up! It's airborne and after spending a fortune on cleaning my place my bedroom was totally filled with dust and all these chemicals. Nothing was covered either! Everything in my bedroom was FILLED WITH DUST. My Rugs that I just had steam cleaned. MY bedroom smelled horrid and after spending all this time and money n cleaning my rugs and curtains it was back to the way MCI left it!!!. My bed blankets and sheets filled with dust!. My electronics were also filled with this dust. Chemicals we have NO idea that was inside those ducts! All my clothes ruined! He diagnosed both issues and explained it thoroughly. He left to the supplier and can back promptly and fixed both appliances. I had an issue with the refrigerator and they came back the next morning no questions asked. It turned out nothing was wrong, it just took time for the refrigerator to cool off as it had been opened for a long time the day before to allow the ice to thaw. He arrived with all tools needed for the job. A bad wire was diagnosed on my old Ruud outside unit which would not allow the fan to start. We do NOT recommend Greentree AC for any duct work install/repair based on our experience…read more (Maintenance cleaning and new AC install is fine.) We approached Greentree AC several years ago and asked if they could help us with a problem. There was a severe imbalance in the AC with the primary bedroom and the bath and the office (too hot). They said we needed new duct work (in a specific area) to fix it. We asked many times if they were experts in duct work and would they be able to fix. We asked if they would be relying on a duct work engineer before doing. We were assured that they would fix it. They did not. Right now the AC is set on 73 and the entrance to the primary and the bath read 80 degrees. We called back several times and different people came out including the owner and his son but nothing was fixed. One repair person turned a return into a supply vent such that two supply vents feed the office. Their employee did not initially tell us what he was doing. The office is now freezing but the primary entrance and bath are a sauna and most of the time reads 5-6 degrees hotter than the bedroom. Speaking to the owner, he wished us well but said "We did what we could." Well, it did not work at all.
